MD Fish Tanks I don’t care what anybody says or how much people look down on how easy it is to guppy breed it is still amazing to see them create life, also at about 3 months when they start to color up its amazing.
MD, have you considered adding more females to your guppy tank? I know they aren't as pretty as the males, but I've read you should maintain at least a 2:1 ratio of females to males. If you don't have enough females to spread out the attention, the males can actually harass them to death because they never get a break. :(
thought i would give you a short little update video as i didnt want to detract from the ecosystem build. Let me know if you like quick little update videos :)
Yep like the update video it's nice to see how everything else is doing without veering off from your projects And I just love to see the o'ranchu crew they're just like little puppies!
The tank is filling out nicely! Guppies are always a pain to get on camera, crazy quick fish! I have always found the fry take on a lot of the female patterns and colours... be interesting to see what you get.
Yeah absolutely. I started breeding them and now have a separate fry tank that is absolutely 100% overstocked with hundreds of babys (and some baby ancistrus). Its not really that much money i make of it, bit i can buy myself new food without having to lose money basically😊 and i am getting some serious cool males.
I don't know how it is in the UK but here in the Netherlands we keep goldfish from an aquarium that is at least 100 cm long and 40 cm high because otherwise they don't have enough swimming space. It may be that it is different in the UK but still wanted to say it before you put the o'ranchu crew in the aquarium.
TBH, I think you were better of starting with 1 type of guppy/endler. I'm just into my 3rd group of Yellow Tiger Endlers, waiting for them to breed so I can cross breed with either my Moscow's or my Red Snake Skin Guppies. Not really into mutting.
Man guppies r awsome iv got hundreds spred out through 4 tanks, colours u get through interbreeding is awsome... cant wait for the eco tank..... and to those ppl that hit dislike on the vidz..... R U NORMAL... keep up the good work MD love it👋
Md, I appreciate that you haven't bred goldfish as such, but do you think you could do a step by step goldfish breeding video, would find it extremely helpful!
Hi, I’m first time here. Never even seen your profile, which looks really cool! I have already subscribed :) Mike from Aquapros asked to check your guppies. I really like your scapes and your eye lashes :D will see you soon!
Love your video and your tanks and guppies. I'm American and old lady and I have trouble understanding you because my ear isnt accustomed to your accent and you talk very fast. Keep posting and I'll get used to it the more I watch.
you did just put angels in and all fish acclimate at, if not similar, different paces. the altum is more than likely moping around somewhere. Angel fish are known to jump out of tanks so i would firstly look around everywhere near the tank- under things, behind, inside- just everywhere coz it could have flopped around. if you dont find it like that then do some hunting with a flashlight in the tank. since fish scales are shiny at some angles you should be able to find a fish or a body quite easily at night. but if all else fails- checking ur perams for ammonia spikes is another way of knowing if something died or not.
What about making a series of videos on just enjoying fishes behaviour. Let's say how they eat, how they interact. Little observations, the way we enjoy our fishes in the aquariums. You 'll need a tripod, a lens for close ups, only the featured aquarium lit and a black paper with a hole for the lens to pass through that way you avoid your own reflection on the glass.
I dont like goldfish, its cool enough that theyre basically fish puppies, but they look like small lumps of brain with feathers sticking off. To me they look plain unhealthy.
ha ha you will have so many you won't know what to do with them , at the moment I have endler fry and Mollys 2 broods of kribensis and a huge brood of severums , thankfully lots of growing to do .
The guppy tank looks like Willy Wonka's underwater playground. Very successfully zany.sorry to hear re false altum...not to be gruesome but did you check the floor next to the aquarium?
Hey I have 5 tanks under my stairs small ones biggest is 110 liter I want to do away with the heaters and heat the space. Someone suggested a dehumidifier as all tanks open top would keep moisture down and heat. What do you think can you help? Excellent work
Oh I’m so happy for you. I love guppies but I don’t have any yet. I actually went to check on my ten gallon tank to see if it was ready for a cleaning when I noticed the only two fish I had in there which are cherry barbs had babies. I quickly removed the parents and now I am unable to clean my tank properly because I don’t wanna loose any of the fry. They are sooo small. You got any advice for me? I’ve never had cherry barbs before let alone fry.
Amber Fiscus congratulations! 😊 I’d say, if you have live plants and the water parameters are healthy, then hold off on a deep tank cleaning. If there are no adult fish in a tank, it won’t be producing a lot of ammonia so you should be good on that front. If you have flake food, really crush it up into a powder and they should be able to eat that. If you have algae in the tank, leave in in for them to graze on. Good luck!
Aw MD. I'm sorry to hear about those eggs man. I was hyped to see the nets, but sometimes things just don't work out. I'm sure whatever you make next will be just as cool if not cooler. Love the vids MD
My fave is the discus setup, it's so calming, but the goldfish are a blast, especially with your interaction with them, that was so cool...it's hard to have a fave when so much love has gone into all of them, the amazing angels and guppies and of course TIMMY...they are all just fun AND beautiful...!
Go ahead Sir... I always wish your best of luck as I'm your 1 of mad follower. 🥰🥰🥰 Lots of cordial love for your work & your all lovely healthy fishes 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I once had an apisto who disappeared for 5 days. My tank wasn’t heavily planted at the time, and I literally looked and checked everywhere. No idea where he was, but after 5 days, I walked into my room, and boom there he was. Keep your hopes up man, he’ll turn up soon!
Timmeeeey!!! Dude, thanks for your videos. Made me restock my aquarium after it got decimated. Lost 12 fish do to some kind of bacteria infection. Was too far gone by the time I got the medications going.
Lol looking forward to Timmys lake!! When I was a child my grandfather bought me two tiny terrapins. They were smaller than Timmy in a tiny tank. They grew so big they ended up snappy, the size of a dinner plate and living in the bath!! They went to Stratford butterfly farm in the end and lived in a lake!!
I’ve got two firebellied newts and one of them has been laying eggs for two months now, like 50 or so but all of them were infertile :( I really hoped I could have some baby newts but maybe both of mine are female lol who knows
