Man...he just smokes Zakk, & has zero ego to boot. It just does something to ya hearing an awesome musician shred. I'm 58 year old lifelong drummer taking a upper middle aged hiatus...lol !! He's my favorite new age guitarist by far...
@@Pentatonic_Hardcore They all have been good. I think the person loves this guy's attitude. Ozzy has not had an average guitarist at all if I am correct. They all have been super great, or even excellent. 2024. USA
@@yonikup2865 Yes is it.. and Jake is my fav. I mean Randy is who got me interested in guitar back in the very early 80's. But three guys made me really want to practice and learn technique.. that was Randy, Jake and Vito.
Gus you’re amazing bud extremely overlooked and underrated This entire presentation was sick but 2:50!! Oh man the thought process to even think that up ....incredible
Never gets repititious within Gus, and-or Schon. These two have variety like no tomorrow. Transitions extraordinary, no mistakes within this level difficulty is un-heard of. This and Schon's Star scredding banner, are incredibly sound.
i swear the only part of this song i want to learn of this song and be happu is that lick at 2:30-2:35 i fucking love it this guy is great idc what any1 says he might not be ozzy's best guitarist but hes still amazing
Schon, also Gus didn't become followers within deciples, they created there own. Both are extraordinary not only within play, but also writing, composing. Different styles, but both are beyond thorough.
Trilling with palm harmonics. What you do is hammer on a note and lightly palm mute the string then slide your palm across the string while trilling and you get harmonics in there.
Un-nessesary finger movement, fingers very rarely lift more then 3/8ths above frets. As well a picking technics being stellar. I like his thrown in slides, to fulfill foundation fullness, no gaps.
+Chris Fama Its cause none of the songs off scream were written by him. They were all written before he was even in the band. idk about his firewind stuff tho
Gus G wrote all the guitar parts, solos included, on the Scream album. He was given the basic melodies only. If you believe another guitarist taught Gus G the Scream song you're delusional. There's a good reason why he was picked; Ozzy needed a real artist guitarist.
@@eugene7518 not true and don't rib on Zakk I love Gus he's my favourite modern guitar player but the rhythm tracks were 80% written he wrote the solos he says so in his GUITAR WORLD interview that the album was basically written and they had him to come and play with in quote "how a professional guitar player would play those parts" cause the rhythm guitars were written by Kevin Churko the producer
