I've learnt a hell of a lot from this video. For instance, before I watched this video I thought I was a guitarist...

Guthrie actually is one of the only youtube people that actually answers comments he is not only a great player but he is a great person. He even actually came over to a meager little no view youtuber like me and listened to one of my songs

All I can say is as an older player who subscribes to all three of you, if you ever wonder if the time you take to make all these video's is worth it, believe me it is. There is so much helpful stuff in just this one video and the fact you leave some minor mistakes in there and laugh tells me what kind of guys you all are. I just really appreciate it.

I love how Tim got just as excited seeing the magic as the rest of us.

The part from 11:50 to 12:55 is some of the best soloing I've ever heard. Just crazy how it flows out of Guthrie's fingers/mind.

Took a lesson with Guthrie and I play in open tuning exclusively and without making me change he adapted to my style and my mind was blown. So much more to learn from him. Guthrie, Ill be in Nashville soon I am calling you up.

Guthrie is from my neck of the woods (NW Florida/South Alabama) and it's almost criminal how no one around here knows who he is. He's one of my favorite players and it was awesome seeing him with Tim, another of my favorites.

Guthrie's neck pickup tone in this video is the best Tele neck pickup tone I've ever heard.

Obviously the level of playing was precipitously lower..But the vibe was the same so damn cool. It was just so satisfying seeing you guys interacting and missing out! Much much love to everyone.

Great little jam! I love how Guthrie emphasizes the basics (knowing the basic triad and 7th shapes all over the neck) as a starting point. Focusing on that lately has really been helping me fill in the gaps despite my playing for 20 years!

Watching Guthrie's fingers is mesmerizing. I could literally sit here all day and watch this over and over.

When Tim goes, "Is that right?" Honestly, my heart sank, I grabbed the Scotch, poured 3 fingers a few times and went and watched Real Housewives of Orange County because I can at least understand that! I mean, if Tim is asking if something is right, wtf do I think I'm gonna do? Lol.... excellent as always! ;-)

I'm such a huge fan of Tim P's playing. One of the all time greats. And it's fun to see how he (and Guthrie) are so humble about what they do and that he continues to learn and sponge from other great players. It's a great reminder that you are never done learning. It keeps you young.

Still watching this video after 5 years. Three of my favorite guitar players, what's not to like?

Wow... I could listen to you guys playing all day. I am most amazed, not just by technical skill, but rather the unique places you guys take a solo in regard to its own melody line. Guthrie went some places I wouldn't have ever imagined, and yet, when he got there it was like.... "yep, that is exactly where that solo needed to go." -Like chipping away the stone to reveal the angel that is already in the slab of marble.

Guthrie is amazing - I came across his channel a while back, and he was demonstrating how to get good tone out of an amp. On a phone. and it sounded GREAT. On a crappy phone mic. Enough said.

Had the extreme privilege to see Guthrie in action when we visited Nashville from South Africa. He is by far my favorite player of all the guys we saw and can absolutely vouch for him being an incredible human being after spending some time with him. Life changing experience!

Very Nice, caught on to your you tube channel about a year ago. I have been playing off and on for 35 yrs. I learned a lot and I just forgot about the basics. I’ve been called a instinctive player. I have one habit everybody tells me. I have a go to guitar I bring everywhere, no matter what style or tone.

Had the honor of meeting Guthrie Trapp in Nashville, and get a few lessons from him. That man contains so much music, that even when he 'lets loose' he still has like 90% in reserve. Such an overabundance of musicality!

There is no such thing as “mastering” the guitar. Which is what makes it so awesome.

There is something about the creamy smooth lines that Tim plays that make everything sound unique and interesting.

That “holy shit!” giggle at 5:54 says it all.

Thank you so much for posting this video Tim. Like you said at the end, there's nothing better than this. Just watching you all play together and hearing the amazing way you are all playing just blows my mind. I stopped playing guitar some years back because I felt I couldn't progress and was bored. I just started playing again, and am loving it, because of seeing recent videos like this of you Tim, Brett and Guthrie. It's so nice to hear music that makes you almost cry with joy. That's what I want to play too. I hope you keep on playing together and posting more videos. You guys are all awesome!!

First, excuse my bad English. I am from Paraguay, in the middle-south part of South América. Here we have (are?) a hispanic culture (not the "latino-tacos-sombrero" cliché some folks have in mind, not the "latino-caribe-salsa" either; just...southamerican). Well, these melodies, these scales, sound so faliliar to me, and I love them. I mean, the scales AND THE WAY YOU GUYS MAKE MELODIES WITH THEM (You know, I know the scales too... but I suck in guitar, ha ha!!). Thank you for this amazing video.

I will be forever grateful to Guthrie Trapp for being the player who finally got me to "get" the tele in my own playing through my (most futile lol) attempts to learn some of the songs off his (excellent) album Pick Peace.

These guys should do a jam album. Add just a light taste of bass and drums as salt and pepper. I could listen to this all day long.
