Why do people say that! Underated by whom? Who have you heard say, "that Guy Pearce....if only he could act?" What do you mean dude? You think that he is a fab actor and other people don't?? Well, you'd be wrong in that presumption. You think that he is a better actor than the parts he gets?? You'd be wrong again! Actors get parts and try to make the best of the part...Hey he was great in LA Confidential wasn't he....he totally filled that role. And, Olivia Coleman...is such a superb actor, christ on a bike without a helmet, she really is the business.

@@feebeedoc78 In Australia it is only on a digital multi channel and gets very low ratings, but it earns Australian production quota points for its broadcaster. It also earns money from international sales. Channel 5 in the UK still buys it. It is more popular in the UK than it is in Australia (something that had been true for many years) though the UK ratings are well down on what they were.

I'd say he's had a pretty fantastic career, and has been in far more great films than the vast majority of actors. The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, L.A Confidential, Memento, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Propositon, The King Speech, Mildred Pierce, Lawless, The Rover, Brimstone, etc. I would hardly say that's a wasted career. He just isn't very mainstream (besides films like Iron Man 3, Prometheus, Bloodshot, etc)
