Waste of some good aero engines...these should be saved for the old warbirds. Don't really see the point of this sport anyway, these tractors are all traction limited so they have to make up for it with crazy power....when really a 300hp bulldozer or even a steam engine can pull the sled just as far or further.

Sled pulling isn’t just in Britain, it’s across the whole world. In Denmark and the Netherlands too. Finland, Norway, Sweden and Germany. Almost every country has pulling teams.

you should check out Inter Techno Lambada - from the Netherlands. they're running 5 Hemi's in the unlimited class. that's the top level of tractorpulling. making about 2500-3000hp each engine, count it up...

the Snoopy's aren't the most powerful, but they're hella beautiful rigs. (FYI the most powerful ones run in the Unlimited/Super Modified, making upwards of 13,000 horsepower)

Tractor pulling.... IN BRITIAN? AWWWWW HELLL NAAAAA. America does it bigger. (Also american dragsters often have 10,000+ HP, so they're likely the most powerful race vehicles.)

Only 8,000? My friend that lives in Iowa USA has a Unlimited Modified tractor called Screamin' D that has 12,000 hp. Runs on 4 full blown hemis with 3,000 hp each running on alchohol.

Reminds me of when got to talk to an old timer who flew Stirlings in the war. He was about 19 and put in charge of a 4 engine bomber. He would have had to remember a maze of instructions about getting the aircraft off the ground loaded with fuel and bombs. One mistake and all of them would be dead in an av gas funeral pyre. The grunts on the ground would also time some the bombs up so they would explode at a given time. All is well if nothing happens but if a bomb gets caught up you wont know if it is a timed bomb or not and you and the crew can only praise the lord when you get back on the ground in England. Crazy stuff that our youth used to be able to do. It was in fact the greatest generation.

Guy, as brave, crazy, and as adventurous as you are, you should have a go at American NHRA Top Fuel dragsters! They make over 11,000 hp, reach 100 mph in less than a second, and cover a 1000-ft distance in 3.7 seconds at over 320 mph. They pull 5 G's on acceleration and 6 G's on deceleration from 2 giant parachutes. You can learn how to drive lower powered dragsters at Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School. Super Gas dragsters make around 800 hp, Pro Stock coupes around 1,400, and Top Alcohol dragsters around 3,500 hp. Do it!

Since you're a motorcycle guy, and you've already ridden a 400 hp Pro Stock bike at Santa Pod, maybe you should try out an NHRA Top Fuel HARLEY! 200 cubic inches, on nitro, making 1000 hp! Quarter mile times in the low 6's at up to 230 mph!

All I'm gonna say is look up Tornado 2. Then tell me what you think. This is a nice tractor but it doesn't have anything on Tornado 2. There is a tractor in Denmark that's pretty bad ass also. It has less hp than this tractor but I'd say it would be a close on between them 2. But my opinion Tornado 2 would jerk a note in this ones ass.
