It just depends who is doing the pollution. As long as it is in the name of sport it seems to be OK to carry on adding to global warming. The man in the street is having all sorts of rules about emissions thrown at him, usually involving financial penalty.
Wow! I have been to a lot of tractor pulls in the USA, but I had no idea that the Danes did it big like this! I love tractor pulling, this sport is the purest form of power sports on earth. And it is so very cool to learn that other nations go big in it like this.
Damn you, stole my comment, how dare YOU. Karen's be pissed about the pollution. But this tractor is sick. I've seen muti engine pulling tractors but not many with diesel/ nitro engines. Super rad and looks very consistent.
@@Wreckedekcoupe yeah, it's bad ass the way he engineered that Blown Alcohol motor with those two V12 engines, since they run at completely different RPM's 😊🤘🏻
She, as a professional child actress, may be interested? Her 'Investors, handlers of course, would have mad fits, foaming at their mouths, more toxic with 'coof', than diesel smoke. ;}
@@CIoudStrikerthat is also mostly the case for pulling in Denmark where this video is from, at least ethanol is being widely use only 1 or 2 runs on diesel in the modified classes. Pretty sure this tractor is either scrapped or has been converted to ethanol.
I just can't get enough of this sled puller ,,, this is so cool ... the guy that runs around ... the excitement is palpable ,,, love it ,,, keep going ... David
I know you're trying to be funny but volkswagen (and other manufacturers) never had issues with soot, the problem was nitrogen oxide which in fact is not visible.
@@cammontreuil7509 THis was in Denmark and The European Union is so uptight it makes even California look lax in comparison. So shouldn't be a problem, specially since they're broke and could use the tax dollars from such an event, they'll just pretend to be outraged after to save face with their voterbase.
It looked like on the first clip he had to let off and shut it down or he would still be pulling that thing .holy hell what a good combination , badass .
This is a perfect combination of engines, torque in back, speed in front. They definitely have it figured out. They would make a ton of money in the US.
The v8 runs with 7000 rpm, the 2 v12 with around 3700 rpm, they figured out a gearing so it all matches up in the end......that setup was the only one in the world, now they have skipped the v12's and pure methanol, will never be the same 😅😊
Very smart actually. They control the throttle on the gas engine separate. They use the gas engine to bring the nose up and transfer weight to the rear wheels..
It's like having the different powerplants gives it a fuller spectrum of power.... The Supercharged V8 works like a Booster....giving it that extra Top end... Those wheels just don't stop turning!
The Slædehunden is an incredibly powerful pulling tractor that is equipped with TWO V12 transmash diesel motors straight out of a T55 tank! If you thought that was enough power do not be mistaken because in addition to the two diesel motors this monstrous tractor also has 4 turbochargers and 1 Keith Black hemi 526 CI gas motor! I am sure you are wondering how many horses this monster lets out and just like you would assume the number is HUGE! This amazing Slædehunden has an estimated 3,500-4,000+HP!
@@phaloxx Actually it is yes. The 2 v12 are 39 liters each. 4 turbos. all transmission is homemade by themselves. Even though the horsepower are "low" compared to US pulling, i am fairly sure they can pull more out of this set up. But this thing have run for 10 years now, without blowing up. So i think they found a good compromise between performance and longevity. Fun fact, when pulling the easy sleds, the only turn the hemi on after about 30-50 meters, because all the power would just spin the tires endlessly
I was wondering what those engines were. T55 tank. Guess it is a Russian motor. The horsepower estimate looks low balled considering how fast the sled gets pulled. The combined HP is probably closer to 7000.
I wish they kept this machine as is. Very unique setup and such a crowd favourite. I can understand the reasoning of selling it though, all v8's is an easier setup to work on. Greetings from the Netherlands, Mark
An electric tractor pull event could never be as exciting as the sound and smell of internal combustion and things blowing up. Next level would be nitro powered tractor pull.
They tear the block apart now. They would have to increase block strength 5x for nitro as it would be a bomb when it let go. That is the next step. It would be awesome. Rooster tails 100 feet in the air. 3' trenches laid from start to finish.
Maybe both engines transfer their power onto the outer axels of a differential, which in turn can output to a shaft that drives the wheels. I have no idea if that is possible and how strong such a part should be but am confident that it would equal out any differences in rpm between the engines.
Basically a differential, but each input has to have a one-way clutch. Not a genius, it's the same mechanism used on multi-engine helicopters and large single-propeller ships.
Do you know what engines that beast has? Let alone hp? That thing can reach the finish line much faster than any petrol/alcohol v8 engine. It puches over 5000hp just with the diesel engines alone mate :)
How many trees would you have to plant to cancel out that run...... Love it. I wonder if any of the spectators turned up to that event in a Toyota Prius...?
ETPC changed maximum weight for Heavy Modified class from 4.500 kg to 4.200 kg for the 2015 season, which Slædehunden could just manage to stay within. Then when the weight limit was once again lowered to 4.000 kg in 2016 they had to start removing engines to stay within limits and the tractor you see here was disassembled and the team built Beautiful Noise which is still running, but honestly just another tractor like all the other Hemis, which I think @teamlambada does better.
That moment when the Hemi starts to scream you can see the front wheels lift from the ground. It helps the two diesel monsters to stay on their ideal rpm range
That's the most badass tractor I have ever seen watching these videos. It looks like one gas or fuel engine up front ad the diesels in the back, but I would like to know what kind?
Curt Nicholson I think I read that the twin turbo V 12’s came from a Russian truck, possibly one of those that carries ICBM’s around the woods in Russia. I believe they said the diesels put out something on the order of 3000 to 3500 Hp and several thousand pound feet of torque each. The blown engine was said to have in the range of 4000 to 5000 Hp that is available almost instantly when the diesels start to drag down. I also believe they said the blown engine was custom built in the U.S.
It looks like a pair of so-called Victory engines, from WW2 airplanes, and then a big block chevy maybe on the front. (similar to those used in top fuel drag racers)
