It feels more like the stinging pain of getting a tattoo than period cramps for me. If you use it on your back, it feels like a really good massage lol
I got my period at 11 and had pain ever since then, ended up in sick bay pretty much everytime because I would go so pale from the pain and if I didn't get pain meds I would throw up because of the pain. My dad was never very sympathetic either I would wake up and beg not to have to go to school because he would just have to come get me in a couple hours anyway and he would say "oh maybe it won't be as bad today" and I would just cry. My P.E. teacher as well used to just tell me to walk around the oval because exercise was supposed to help 😐 like lady I can barely move and you want me to walk/run around the oval...seriously? I remember ruining Christmas one year too because I was on my period and this was before we discovered Naproxen Sodium and I had no pain relief and we went for our annual meetup with my grandparents and all I could do was lay on the ground in a fetal position 😔 My parents had lunch with everyone first while I was laying there and I couldn't eat so then we packed up everything and went home, I remember feeling really bad for ruining the Christmas get together. Another time we had a big event on at our church and we had to be dressed up and I was wearing white and I got my period and it all bled out on the back of my skirt 😭 I was soooooo embarrassed, I had to get my brother to take me home so I could change. Periods are the bane of female existence.
Mine fluctuate, I can go three months in a row of " oh, am I on my period then?" from seeing it when I go to the washroom but not feeling anything really, to "omg kill me now this is torture" and being so much in pain that lasts more than the four to five days of my periods.... and also in between with feeling bloaty and uncomfortable, with a short fuse as well...
This is one level, imagine all nigh, sweating, not being able to walk or sleep, being expected to continue your usual life routine for weeks.. AND being called moody.
Sometimes, the pain is so intense, that you literally pass out. For some ladies, while bleeding, your are also stooling, vomiting, crying and thrashing up your entire apartment. It feels sometimes like your entire abdomen and back all the way up the spine is on fire. Period cramps DO NOT TICKLE AT ALL.
You need to see a doctor. Sometimes the contraceptive pill helps enormously for these symptons. No need to suffer each month like that these days. The Depo Provera injection stops periods altogether. If I were you I would ask about that so you can get your life back. Good Luck.
I almost passed out In my D&T class, I had to go home because I couldn’t make it through the day, i wanna get birth control to make it hurt less or just skip it all together, but idk how to ask my mom

@@patsyhodge9071 i have a holiday at the beach the week im due to have my period, i asked my mom what i can do because of how painful my periods are ( like ill have cold sweats get dizzy and have to sleep) but she said all women have to deal with it and there is nothing she can do, i don't wanna say anything else because i know she will say " there is no need they arent so bad that you cant stand up"
@@x0x.sparrow.x0x72 Can you go see your school nurse or your own doctor? They can prescribe painkillers or the contraceptive pill which will stop your period from coming that week. Later on you can go on [the depo provera [if suitable] and you wont get any periods at all. But only your doctor can prescribe this and contraceptive pills after a proper appointment. I dont think you're parents even have to know. Alternatively family planning, and sexual health clinics can do the same thing wthout your parents knowing but that is up to you. At the very least go to the pharmacy and get some pain relief designed especially for period pain. Find a female pharmacist and talk to her. Dont be shy, they talk to young girls about this all the time and are very knowledgable sweetheart. Your mum doesnt really understand how seriously you are suffering, but their are medical people out there who do and that is their job.
My wife says labor pains are even worse like a thousand times worse. Menstrual pain is nothing. Let us appreciate our wives for the pain and sacrifices they go through having a family
Not for everyone. My best friend had endometriosis. The pain would be so bad she’d PASS OUT. She had a hysterectomy. My pain made me vomit. Labor was awful, but it had an end. And you got your baby at the end. So DO NOT guess how others feel. Okay?

I don't believe they're experiencing the real deal, otherwise they would not be laughing so much....add the hormones, nausea, pimples, mood changing, body pains,etc.....
i think they are getting more of an electric shock, not the same as the ache and throbbing pain as cramps. Although the one guy said he could feel it in his back too, that sounds the real deal.
I want to scream that yes they “pulsate”. The muscles contract until you feel like you’re going to die, then it releases, then repeat for days. It’s a hell rollercoaster I’ve been riding since 8yrs old and I guess I’m a grizzled badass now.
Boys, imagine having this a whole night at max, sweating as heck and getting 1 hour of sleep. This is my life every month :) I swear u won't be laughing then ;)
The simulation wasn't made to be strong enough. I am post-menopause but I remember the pain. I was always doubled over and would literally be sick. I would always need to stay home from school the first two days of my period from school. It was hard just to move around to get from one place to the other around the house. I am very glad I am not experiencing those pains anymore. The only thing that worked was going into menopause. Nothing else worked.
I barely even flench when I get the cramps in my stomach. It's more just an acknowledgement of a fact w/ abdominal cramps like, "Yeah, I'm gonna get the real cramps soon now.". It has always been worse in my very lower back. I also had lots of "back labor" (more pain in the lower back than the lower abdomen, and generally considered more severe than abdominal pains alone) when I had my daughter. The nurses kept asking me, "That's a pretty good contraction there. Don't you feel that?". I was like, "Yes, but it's just like period cramps, but w/ a bit of pelvic pressure added. I'm fine.". lol This was all the way until I was nearly 6 cm dilated.
Not just the pain, ur energy plunged to the bottom, ur stomach bloated, have to poop all the time, etc. Just grab overcounter med and look at the symptoms its relieving
Ikk there LAUGHING when I'm on mine Its so painful its like somebody Is Inside you and squeezing you so hard as much as they can and you're just lying under a cover for a couple of days holding your stomach screaming and crying its like somebody is inside you and is squeezing and pulling and pushing you and finds it's funny there poking you so hard it feels like a knife and their laughing while you're under a cover on the floor screaming and tears falling down you for your life and you want it to stop sooo badly but there having a great time inside you pulling and pushing and poking you "if I could sometimes I'd go down on my knees and do whatever they like if it makes it stop sometimes it hurts that much and we can't do a anything except take medication about it
your waitress runs through her entire shift feeling like that, carrying full trays of food. That cashier at the grocery store, the girl who cuts your hair. Your dog groomer, your delivery driver, the clerk at the office... they don't get to turn it off and they have to do their jobs as usual and not complain when all they really want to do is crawl in a corner and die.
Ok, and? We are not victims, you act as if period was some punishment done by men to women on purpose lol, is a natural thing, unfortunately, only happens to women and is really painful, but just because we suffer doesn't mean men need to pitty us. 😂🤦🏻♀️

To be fair, the cramps aren’t usually this abrupt in real life. At least for me, they build over the whole day, which I think makes them (slightly) easier to handle. Also, I’d love to see actual women trying out that gadget at the same time as the men so we could compare the reactions. Everyone feels and handles pain slightly differently
Not only do we have to deal with blood flooding out of a hole in our body, but we also have to deal with hella painful cramps, serious mood swings, being emotional, and fatigue. EVERY👏🏼SINGLE👏🏼MONTH
Not if you drink 2 cups of green tea everyday and replenish lost minerals with a tablespoon of molasses in hot water. I haven't had any pms in years. We've normalized something that is actually not healthy or normal.
@@ptmkjj I know right. My mom is a bit old schooled so even if I am in immense pain I am not even allowed to flinch. Ahhh can get irritating but I think it has made me strong to the point I can keep a straight face through probably any pain and not complain lol.
This was a nice thing to see as it gives some awareness. I have to say, that device is so mild that I actually use it on my lower back to alleviate some back pain now and again. Not trying to put them down or anything, it was an admirable effort and the pain level doesn't need to be the same for people to have an insight into what it might be like. My period causes me to have nightmares of being stabbed, and sometimes the cramps shoot down my left leg and almost cause it to buckle under me. But in all honesty, I think working is fine, labour-wise. It's the dealing with other people's bullshit part that I just cannot do. I get +50 strength, hulk-like physical powers due to having the fuse of an enraged rhinosaurus, but -100 people-skills.
I didn’t find out until about 5 years ago that I have endometriosis, which is when the uterine lining grows on the outside of the uterus and not where it should. I spent my teen years curled up in a ball on my kitchen floor because the cold would make it better. I got really lucky in my early 20s with managers that purposely scheduled me off on the first day of my cycle, because the pain was so bad that I would faint at work. Being 10 years sober from pills and dealing with these cramps, I rarely take ibuprofen, more so because I don’t want to have to depend on painkillers/Advil for short passing pain. I appreciate when men even try and attempt to learn, because most of y’all just brush it off.

I feel like they should first get a woman hooked up to it so she can tell you which setting feels most average for pain, then have the guys start there. (Though I suppose the pain is different for everyone, I still feel this would be most accurate.)
Any advice to a girl that has the talk; DON’T be eager to get your period! Also DON’T feel ashamed of it either when you do get it. And it’s okay to be annoyed with it.
i remember how excited I was when I first got my period. Like genuinely excited. Little did I know that I would suffer extrem pain and be miserable overall for a few days every month from then on.
새_leonie_ I was told about periods at the same my mom gave me the talk. I knew what a uterus was, but I honestly had no clue that it bled every month. My introduction to it wasn’t really in a way that I should be excited for, rather, it was to prevent a scenario from at happening at school where if I got during the schools, I’d probably run out of the restrooms screaming “I’M BLEEDING HELP I DON’T WANNA DIE!” Or something to that effect. (Note that I was an early bloomer and started with acne and wearing a braw in third grade.😑. I was NOT happy at the time). Mom also told me straight away that it would hurt. I later learned that she had horrible experiences with hers due to endometriosis (which luckily, I don’t have).
Had to take my SATs after being up all night with cramps. Anyone else have something hugely important that had to be done after a miserable, sleepless night of pain and bloodshed?
Y'know I've tried this machine once and I can for sure guarantee that those cramps are very light. My actual cramps are thrice as that i even faint. The machine gives very light cramps

The difference is period cramps are deeper. Which is why a lot of women deal with back pain at the same time. I don't think a tens unit can really demonstrate the same internal feelings.
Sometimes cramps so bad you can’t breathe for at least an hour (and you’re trying to remain standing/moving at work). Cramping pain that’s so sharp you feel like you’re going to pass out, throw up, or die. Seriously, insides being shredded.
Honestly it wouldn't be so bad if it was like super intense pain for one hour, but no. It's very intense for 2 days BEFORE periods and then 2-4 days on periods. My pain tolerance is pretty high, so I can function but I might get annoyed at.. Everything. Being in pain for 6 days PLUS ovulation which is 10x worse
Mine can be really painful for an entire day and at night stop, or I can be okay the entire day and can't sleep well because the pain will stay until next day. It keeps like that for 1 or 2 days, them stop in the third.
Once a year I get an uncomfortable ovulation. It’s not painful per say, but it feels like a hard tight pinch were one of ovaries is. They usually last a day or so.
Ikkk when im on mine I'm screaming and crying my life out BEGGING the world it will stop because its sooo painful and hurts so oooo muchhh I sometimes feel like I'm being stabbed on one side and punched on the other and squeezed in the middle so hard I might pop while I'm on the floor lying aching knowing I can't do anything about it except for maybe take some medicine but other than that I just have to beg to the world it won't be long and if it is (I just have to be in screaming and crying my eyes out pain)

And a boy sees that I'd be soo embarrassed which is kinda weird as bleeding and cramps + on your period is normal for a female/girl body
I had too much progesterone and used to faint from my cramps. Naproxen helped sometimes. Most of the time I was in bed in fetal position with a hot water bottle.

For those who’ve never experienced period cramps: Everyone’s body is different and the duration/degree of pain can vary WILDLY. So I can only speak from my own experience and from what I’ve heard from other female-bodied people. But no, they don’t generally last 24/7 for the entire period. For me, they generally last for a few hours each day, and maybe a few hours each night, but then they subside. Typical OTC pain killers don’t work for my cramps, so I’ve had to just learn how to live with the pain. But just like with any other muscle cramps, stretching and moving help a lot, and although you may not want to move, sitting still is actually one of the worst possible things you could do. That being said, if/when you really do not feel capable of moving, use a heating pad. Those things work wonders!
I would be really interested to see guys try this for three or four days. With accurate pain fluctuations, like hey you've taken a pain pill so it'll drop down to a three for a bit but then when time is up, raise it back up while they are working. It would be interesting to see how it would affect their sleep.
True story lol ok I was working in a factory in Michigan and I was hemorrhaging practically.. it's August and my lineman tried giving me grief about needing another bathroom break... This still doesn't give them the experience of bloating,mood swings,cravings,and the stress of the whole thing and the experience of social disbelief not to mention someone pressuring you because your not "in the MOOD"
They need to give the men the other symptoms as well, like headaches, back aches, aches in your legs and inbetween your legs, bloating, mood swings, nausea etc. Plus the pain is actually pretty constant not pulsating and we also have to stress about whether or not blood has leaked out and is now visible on our outer clothes because sometimes it is heavier than we expected. Then there are those of us who have adenomysosis and endometriosis which makes periods a living hell because the pain you get in your uterus is felt in other places in your abdomen because the lining has escaped and imbedded itself in other tissues in your body 🙄
The worst part of a period is not being able to comfortably say “I need to sit down, I’ve got really bad cramps right now,” especially to a male coworker. And then you have to play the implication game and hope they get it, like “I’ve got a stomachache” or something. I wish it was acceptable in a workplace to say “I’m on my period, I’m avoiding upright positions and walking today. Should be fine once this Advil kicks in so leave me alone for now.”
What's worse is that sometimes it's not gradual, you just have so many moments where they spike or just skip so many levels and go straight to 7 and up.
They are having cramps while sitting down. (Try having cramps with several small children nipping at your heels while you try to do housework and then constantly having to run to the bathroom to check your pad to make sure you are not oversoaked.)
Hehe..welcome to women's world. I've experienced it every month since I was 19 till 32. I took a medical day off almost every month from work because of bad period pain. Thank God it was gone after I delivered my son.
Thankfully mine have become more tolerant with age, but the first 20 years was brutal. I would rock my self back and forth in the fetal position, crying! After having my son, my cramps are less, but I still have strong ones here and there.
I’m a male, I experienced severe abdominal pain in waves for 1095 days straight. Fainted occasionally and had to go to the ER (ended up in the hospital). Yes there was daily diarrhea and it was a living hell. I wanted to just choose death sometimes. Oftentimes, I wouldn’t be able to go number 2 so I had to endure the pain for sometimes 16+ hours only to experience it again just 6 hours after it ended. Yes 1,095 days straight and eventually I could just laugh it off. My pain tolerance is extremely high now.
Ugh recently I didn't have medicine with me when cramps started A couple hours later I couldn't stand up without crying. I never cry, especially not from pain, so that was definitely something To any guys reading this, it feels like someone stabbed a serrated knife into your gut and twisted it slowly while simultaneously breaking your lower spine
Here's some tangible things I've experienced (please note, this is only my experience) -throwing up -fainting spells -tearing several muscles in my core because I was tensing up so hard -burning myself with a heating pad because you can't feel the burn when the pain is 100 times worse -genuiniely considering if I should take a knife and cut out my uterus because that seems like it would hurt less -wedging various objects into my abdomen (countertop corners, clip boards, ect) trying to feel something other than the pain We aren't being fucking weak, and while pain is increadibly subjective this shit should have a fucking cure by now if medicine wasn't such a waste of time
They need to do what the guys from As/Is did in their video of trying a period for 3 days. They wore a rig that "bled". They had to deal with going to work, changing pads, bleeding through them and all the shit we women have to deal with every. Single. Month.
