hey , i have a question Why does insulin promotes protein synthesis when its role is to stimulate amino acid uptake ? id it forms new proteins where do they go and does it effect plasma protein concentration?
Insulin is the hormone of abundance that acts to store excess nutrients. Said another way, it forces nutrients out of the blood stream into the cells into storage forms. Amino acids go into cells to be turned into proteins. The major plasma proteins measurable clinically are albumin and globulins, which are not nutrients per se and not affected by insulin
