I think that Gwyn being so bright, even in the abyss, is a good allusion about his power. The first Lord of Cinder, trying desperately to hold onto a dying world, a dying flame. Yet even in the darkness, even as a shadow of his former self, he shines bright enough to break the dark.

Gwyn’s moveset actually makes him look like a total badass when he can’t be parried

Gwyn looks so goddamn cool in the Four Kings bossfight, like a spectral sunlight deity, against abyss lords.

Gywn didn't struggle with any of the demons. Makes me want to see a huge battle between him, all the silver knights and all the demons in the game

Important to remember that this is hollowed-Gwyn, who is just short of his flame burning out. He doesn't even use his trademark lightning spear. Still an awesome opponent.

This needs a mod where Gwyn's grab just works as a punch that would deal the same damage as the grab explosion. That would even it out for bosses that cannot be grabbed instead of Gwyn having a dead attack

Also love the Aldrich OST for O&S it makes sense too since he is fought in that same exact room in DS3

I love these boss vs boss videos because you realise that bosses don't actually hit that hard when you see how little dammages they do to each other sometime. It's just that the player character has far less health than a boss.

The 'I don't give a fuck' walking after winning a battle is the strongest Gwyn move.

Funny how much faster the lava shreds base game bosses. Poor Gwyns crap fire resistance did him no favors. At least his lightning resistance is respectable.

Quelaag did pretty good. If she had caught him in lava, she might have killed him outright. Honestly, if Nito had used his ground-stab, if seath had used his better crystal attacks, and if the 4 kings had moved around and used their sword at a better range, they'd have won. Winners: Smough Centipede Demon(with lava)

Gwyn in the Four Kings fight looks like he's going super sayin.

They seem to be aiming for Seath's head initially, probably because it's the closest bit of the hitbox.

He is goddamn strong for a hollowed god, he only lost like two, he even fought the gods of death, fire and the four kings and he still won, I even thought he was gonna lose against the four kings after seeing smough and ornstein did. And crazy thing is he would've even closed a lot of these fights early along with ornstein smough if not for the stupid grabbing skill he has that does not work. And sorry for my mistake with the lava monster ceaseless, it was the environment as always that saved him so it was not going to be a close one. Now if he is this strong, how much strong would he be if he has not given parts of his soul and burned himself even more? He may still be the strongest lore god in all of the souls borne beating elden rings and even Bloodborne whom both have cosmic gods. And think how powerful he would be if Miyazaki added cosmic powers and lore to dark souls.

I'm still impressed with the mushroom, he's so tanky and althought is a "normal mob" he's also powerfull. I think in close areas he can beat most of the mobs, exept the dragon and maybe manus.

You know a boss is powerful when only the ones that fight dirty can defeat them
