GYMNASTICS SKIPPING CHALLENGE | Ft. Nile Wilson & Emily McCarthy

As a person who does Rope Skipping or Jump Rope (different countries, different names...) since I was 5 years old (I´m now 29) I must say there is some skill hidden here :D Also...some tips for next time (if there´s a next time ;) ) - Try rotating the ropes in the other direction for the Double Dutch (so instead of the arms starting down and going inside - up - outside - down, try it with the arms starting down and going outside - up - inside - down), that makes it easier to jump in (in my opinion). - Try not to smack the ropes so hard on the ground. Because of that they jump off the ground into your feet and are much higher than when they wouldn´t jump off the ground. Try "laying them smoothly" on the ground and then pull through under the jumpers feet. And fun facts: the "Rope Skipping handstand" is actually called "frog" (if jumped off with only one foot, the other foot follows of course, as in a "normal" handstand) or "two feeted frog" (if jumped off the ground with both feet at the same time like Nile tried). Also: I´ve seen someone getting their rope six times under their feet in one jump without a trampoline, just high jump and good technique O.O (I´m quite sure there are some crazier people who can do even higher numbers...) I would love to see a next time, your videos are really funny! And sorry if I wrote too much or if it sounded as if I didn´t appreciate your efforts or so, these are just things that I see and as a coach I want to help out if I can.

I think it's funny how Nile is one of the greatest athletes in the world, yet he still struggles to play a game that's meant for children. No hate to him though, I still think he is hilarious , and seems like a pretty nice person.

I wish it were here in the Midwest lol we had "fake" spring and went right into Summer it's May 9th and it hit 90° today, I spent 12 hours sitting at the hospital with my dad I entertained myself watching your guys videos

Well whaddayaknow ... Now there's two things that Nile is afraid of ....... Hoolahoops and skipping ropes 😂😂😂 (but you have the most adorable way to try to escape them 🥰). Long time ago, we skipped double ropes in school ... It's actually easier to "get in" if you swing the ropes the opposite way around: start with arm out, swing rope up, then towards opposite arm, cross arm in front of body, then towards floor, and past legs/toes (and back to starting positions). It gives you a tiny bit more space to skip the rope bc there will be more space between the "outer edges" of the ropes. Thank you for yet another funny log ❤❤❤ Ps. I have always wanted to see Britain. I think I was born on the wrong continent TBH. I watch British shows and British blogs. Goggle box is my dream gig, but I curse too much for that I think. Plus, I have no filter and say exactly what I think. You can see how this would be problematic. Like you Nile, I struggle with mental health issues after a circumstance beyond my control took my life’s work from me in an instant. I’m not sure who I am anymore without it. I watch your Vlogs and wish your family could adopt me because all families should be as loving and fun as yours is. The three musketeers make me happy. You have the best friends who keep you laughing. Laughter is always the best medicine. I don’t do that much anymore these days. For Emily and Nile, I’m not sure any two people compliment each other as you two do. Enjoy that happiness and make it last. To Joanna and Tom, you both make me smile so much. I excited for your new adventures to come in your new flat. You are lucky to have each other. To Neil and Sally, I adore you. I hope one day someone comes into my life and I can love the life we have built and never stop the laughter we share together. Thank you all for helping a gal from Texas try to find her smile again.
