Using Minor Swing by Django Reinhardt in A Minor; this improvisation tutorial will take you through 15 steps to get you soloing over Gypsy Jazz! The backing track is constant at 120BPM throughout so you can practice in the pocket and learn in the groove!
I recommend targeting one or two ideas per practice session, and play through the video; even if you are practicing something different with your fingers you will still learn new ideas aurally. No need to rush through learning all of the exercises - you can have a lot of fun with any of them in isolation! Aim for effortless mastery before tackling new ideas.
