Dale's Wheels Through Time Museum, located in Maggie Valley, NC, features over 375 American motorcycles, unique cars, and transportation history.

Dale gave me a private tour of the museum several years ago. I asked him if the big tank Crocker ran (knowing it did). He grinned started it up and slowly rode it to one end of the museum. He turned around lit it up wide open skidding sideways to a stop just feet away from a Duesenberg. My jaw hit the floor !

Your JDH sounds famous and looks beauticool, but my fave is the 1916er. Because of this motorbike I know now, it was been a kind of the-early-days-spirit in me, when I cut down my ugly bicycle, my father had bought new for me, when I was 10 years old. I got no tools, shortened the fenders by braking off and changed the original handlebar against a little apehanger. My father's spirit was another :D ...

Oh my goodness what beauty. You folks at the museum never cease to amaze and excite. So would live a modernised version of the '29. Also, I noticed a very modern cable from the back wheel to a speedo(?) On the tank. Is there a reason for putting it on the tank and not between the bars? Thanks

seeing the pushrods or whatever those are "lifters" maybe? move up and down is what they should be doing now with the bikes if that the sort of "heritage" vibe they're going for, or at least make a retro model, Kawasaki offers the w800 which is a new bike designed like an older bike almost like a royal enfield or something it would be cool if Harley made a retro model racer type of new bike id buy one for sure they look so cool, makes me want to get my 66 Bridgestone 90 sport running again I used to love that little bike and ride it everywhere I parked it when I bought my 85 v45, rode that for four years until I could afford my z900rs cafe I just bought in July, I was considering another honda or maybe even saving for a lowrider s but soon s I saw the lime green z900rs cafe at the dealership being my first time I ever saw one I knew I had to have one, went home did a little research and I couldn't be happier paid 10,400 otd for everything I think it was a steal honestly compared to the 40k Ducati, the only bikes I didn't get to look at was Yamaha due to the lockdown I've still never ridden one, can't see it or any bike being nicer than my kawi really its a work of art
