He, sadly, passed away in December of 1976 of a drug overdose. I was 17 and his death Crushed My World for quite a While. Also, a Great jamm song off of his 2nd solo Album, ''Private Eyes'', is the track titled "Post Toastee". Everyone gets to Show Off a Bit On "Post Toastee". IF you love songs with Great Dynamics from slow, sparse, beautiful and melodic to- Boom, rocking out in a flash, and then BOOM- right back to soft and mellow, then "Dreamer" is for you. Mark of a gifted artist who knows how to lay back and work with another person, not outshine, not over power. I've seen Chris do this with other singers before...no ego or power trip. Just letting the music speak. This was a great performance. H.E.R. is the real deal and Chris obviously respects her!
I've seen Chris share the stage with a lot of people but I don't think I've seen him enjoying a performance more than this one and with good reason, she is amazing!

Jamel, Chris has 4 concerts scheduled in California in June of next year. One is Bakersfield, don't know how close you are to the other three but you might want to look into it. And even though that's next year I wouldn't wait too long to check it out, if you're interested. Tickets go fast. You need to see his live show!💙

I had heard of H.E.R. before but music today isn't really my thing, not much out there worrh watching iny opinion esp in the rock world but I love Chris so watched this. She is amazing, IDK even know who she reminds me of, no one I guess . She is very unique & anyone who can stand next to Chris & not sound like an amateur says a lot. She has great range, beautiful tone & the girl rocks the guitar

H.E.R she is the female version of Prince. She sings and plays multiple instruments the piano, drums bass guitar and acoustic guitar. She writes her own songs. She is a force to be reckoned with. Chris is a beast as well.
Chris has mention about working with H.E.R. in different interviews. He really likes her music and listens to her often. H.E.R. has been performing since the age of 5 and plays all instruments much like Prince did. Great response to this. I listen to this song often.

I can't believe I just now saw this in November. I have seen two reviews of this and it came out in July. I am so in love with H.E.R. She is so beautiful and so very talented. Yep, GOOSE BUMPS!! Everyone says the same thing. I kept saying, "Just wait for it, wait for it!" Then she started playing.....WOW!!! It sang not sing.
