My mama passed away 3 weeks ago, one moment she was having a nap next door half an hour or so later I told my daughter to go kiss her goodnight as usual, but by that time my mama was already gone. There is no pain that could ever described this. If you still have your Mama cherish them, there is no one on this earth like your mama. Without them your world is completely changed forever. Rest in peace my queen 💗

I lost my grandmother last month. And there's no way to get over it. I don't want to. It's like I and my mother simultaneously lost our mother. I am able to fake normalcy in workplace but I have isolated myself. It is hampering the lives of those around me. That's why I came to the video. I can't say that it helped much. But to see and read about so many people who lost their loved ones and are going strong, that helped a little. Thankyou for sharing your story! Keep your mama alive in your daughter's heart, tell her her stories and that's all we can do now.

I lost mine yesterday. It's brutal, but I genuinely feel what's being said in this video. I felt it during her death and soon after and in waves during the past day. It's not something i'm manifesting on purpose I don't think, or perhaps I am, but it feels like a natural reaction. I've been balling and crying too, but not as much as i've expected yet.

My mother died three days ago. I've been through the deaths of loved ones before, but this one is unbearable. Even so, I remember supporting her when she lost her own mother, and I know for a fact that she wouldn't want me to be consumed by grief. I have to be strong, but it's hard. So very hard. I miss you, Mom.

I replaced my grief with two things. One, gratitude that I even got to know them and have them in my life for a time. Two, those who I have lost who love me, would not want me to be losing so much time in life to grieving over them. Time on this earth is our most precious asset. When I got sick and was close to death, what I cared about was not injuring the spirits or hearts of others with my death. I do not want pain and grief, to be the legacy I leave behind. So now, out of respect for my loved ones, I do my best and move on out of love and respect for what they would have wanted for me. They would not have wanted me to lose years to saddness.

This is really beautiful. Thanks for sharing this, I lost my dad a month ago and it really made me feel bad to witness his painful death. I am stuck with the thought of him silently struggling with pain. He was a very strong and tough man but very caring from inside. Not able to see him ever again really scares me off. But i need something to just move on. I miss my papa very much.

@@Anniedesmond58 There is a real peace and comfort that no one in this world can give you. Please read my best friend's story and I pray you will find it too. God bless you. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our 16-year-old son, Ethan, played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for Ethan for a church mountain hike he was going on the following day. My mother (who was visiting from out of state) and I woke early with Ethan on Saturday morning. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own that morning. As Ethan pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mother and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw Ethan. He did not make it home that evening. That afternoon, a friend tried to contact my husband, leaving an urgent message to call him back. He tried several times to return the call to no avail. As we were preparing supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan filled my heart. I quietly blinked back tears. I glanced out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pull up to the house, but no one arrived. However, within a few minutes, a patrol car DID pull into the driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst. My husband and I went out to meet the officer, who confirmed our fears. Hesitantly, he told us our son had fallen off of a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed; they still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, our family has such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son and brother again. You see, when Ethan was a young boy, he was saved; he put his faith in Jesus alone to forgive his sins and to take him to Heaven when he died. He realized some very important truths from the Bible that he would want to share with you. His Story Everyone is a sinner. Sin is any violation of God’s Law. God is holy, just and righteous, and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Ethan realized that he - like all of us - had sinned; and his sin separated Him from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that, because of his sin, he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a) [Wages: price] “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Ethan believed that Jesus, God’s Son, paid the price for all sin when He died on the cross - because His sinless sacrifice was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous, holy God. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, but He arose the third day, triumphant over sin, death, and Hell. Jesus is alive today! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan was sorry for his sin, repented (turned), and received by faith the free gift that God offered to him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. He is alive in Heaven with Jesus today; and because of this great HOPE in Christ, we know we will see him again soon - not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Your Story What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day - What if you were to die today? Where will you spend eternity - Heaven or the Lake of Fire? There will not be any parties in the Lake of Fire. It is a place of eternal torment for those who reject God's Son. The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) We did not know that Ethan would step into eternity that day; however, because he put his faith in Jesus alone for his salvation, Ethan was ready to go. Some day - perhaps today - you will take your last breath here on earth, and you will step into eternity. Where you spend eternity is determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. Eternity begins soon - Are you ready? “...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31b) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “(...behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2c) ****************************** This testimony has been made into a gospel tract. Ovi far worse when a pet checks out early. If they lead a long loving life it’s somewhow easier to cope with. Lost ‘my best cat ever ‘ there 6 months ago still grieving. Wasn’t even 2. Had childhood cats die in my arms at 16 years of age and came to terms with t easier cos they lived a full life. My wee mate tippy ( nutcase he was ) didn’t make it to 2. Got himself killed on the roads. I’ve lost human friends. My dad. Grandparents. All sorts of grief but there is just something about having something plucked from your life. We aren’t owed a single second on this planet suppose we just gotta be lucky we still exist for now.

I know how this feels, the devestation when the pain is so strong that nothing else counts and you are not able to even accept the death because you instantly get panic attacks when you realize you never ever will see your dad again (my dad died last summer). The first couple of months are so hard there are not even words for this kind of pain. Dont let anybody tell you how long you should grief, its indivual and depends on the love you had for the loved one.The love for your father will never ever go away its in your heart forever! I know how hard it is im still fighting and take care of yourself and sometimes do something thats good for you.Do small steps. Take a good bath, watch a good movie ,go into the forest it will calm you , do sports and let the anger out. Write in a book everything you always wanted to say to your mom, it will relief you. I'm first time experiencing loss of loved one. The way that the loss crushes me. I lost her yesterday. My soul is screaming constantly. I'm angry, desperate, numb, regretting, missing. This will change my life. This will give me new perspective. New goals. Before she was gone I whispered to her 'Wait for me. You are the first one I'm going to find'. The only thing that gives me any hope at this point, is the thought of being with her again when it's my time.

How are you? I lost my 10 yr old maltese, Sammy today. We found out she had kidney failure and had to put her to sleep only after 3 days of finding out. It happens so fast. Never felt such pain before. I hope your grieving process went smoothly in the last 2 months.

@@andrewofaiur Hello, thank you for reaching out. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I understand how you feel- it sounds like the same thing we went through. I agree, this is the worst grief I’ve ever experienced. It’s been so hard- I still can’t believe she’s gone. I miss her so much. The connection and bond we have with our dogs is so special and unique. Losing them is one of the hardest things we can go through. I hope you can find some peace and comfort in the good memories. Words are not adequate enough to describe the grief one experiences by losing a loved one, but there is hope. Jesus loves you more than you can ever possibly know and he wants to have a personal relationship with you. He knows exactly what you're going through and he can give you a peace in your heart like you've never experienced. This is the story of my best friend who lost her son. Even in the midst of her sorrow, she has joy. My hope and prayer is that you too come to have this joy in your life. God bless you! It’s been almost a year since I lost my partner of ten years, and a year and a half since I lost my best friend, my dog of 11 years. The grief of this has devastated me, brought me to an unrecognizable state-figuratively and literally; just tonight I really looked at myself in the mirror for the first time in so long sand took I’m in the incredible specter of myself staring back-I must have lost at least 30 pounds, and about all other physical features that most people, including myself and my late partner knew me by. Malnutrition , apathy infections and overwhelming despair have helped to make the gaunt face in the mirror with red rimmed, dull eyes staring back. What good is too much sadness indeed? Tonight I made another declaration that I can’t go out like this, that my love would not have wanted it , that I must not allow it. It’s not the first time I have said it. But it sounded a little firmer tonight; I hope it sticks this time.

It's not just the personal lost of the loved one for me, it's the disappointment that they can't enjoy more better days, to come some way to compensate for the pain they endured during their life to balance the ledger.

“...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31b) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “(...behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2c) ****************************** This testimony has been made into a tract form as well, so if you or your church are interested in having them to pass out, please go to libertyfaith.net and you will find the contact info there. Do everything with a mind that lets go. Do not expect any praise or reward. If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace. I just want you to know that Jesus loves you more than you can ever possibly know and he wants to have a personal relationship with you. He knows exactly what you're going through and he can give you a peace in your heart like you've never experienced. I'd like to share with you the story of my best friend who lost her son. Even in the midst of her sorrow, she has joy. My hope and prayer is that you too come to have this joy in your life. God bless you! I can understand what he means but putting it into practice is difficult. My mother passed 4 days ago and I'm suffering with massive guilt. I live a long way from her and couldn't get there in time to hold her hand. She died alone. I also due to disagreements didn't visit her for over 6 months. I know I could of tried harder, but I was stubborn. I am a terrible son. I will never forgive myself for this. Her passing has left a huge hole in my heart. I'm sorry mum.xx

Trust me Neil... If u would have held her hand while she dies.. It would have been extremely painful for u... I lost my mother a month ago...she died in the hospital two floors above me.. And by the time i reached she was gone... Don't know if she saw me before her death or not.. But it all ended.. Nd that is my biggest sorrow that i was not with her while she left.. But now i realise that doing so would have been more painful for me.. She had called me the day earlier and hugged me for the last time...i believe she wanted to see me one last time before leaving.. Maybe she did.. Or did not.. But that hardly matters now.. Be strong and fulfill her wishes now.. Maybe that's how u can still be with her... And don't worry... She has forgiven u for sure.. Mothers are the best in the world!

I know it was a few years ago so I hope you've found some peace. My mother died a few days ago, I saw her about three times a week in the last 4 weeks and still I wasn't able to be with her holding her hand when she crossed over. I feel bad and didn't do some things for her that I said I would. My story is different to yours but my point is - most people will ALWAYS feel there is more that we can do, regardless of the circumstances. I would've liked to be there with her holding her hand in her last moments but it is actually out of my control. There are reasons things play out as they do. Some are lessons for us to help us grow. I know it doesn't change not being there for that person, believe me, I totally get it. There is neurotic guilt and there is legitimate guilt associated with grieving. I read this in an article on the internet where it also says separate what is unrealistic expectations on yourself (like being able to be there in time due to distance) vs other things that maybe you think you could change. Make a project dedicated to her, tell her you are sorry and ask for forgiveness. I'm no expert - these are things I've learnt and felt this week. There are many aged people in homes, hospitals who have no-one. Maybe doing something nice for someone else will make you feel better. Literature also says you can make a reparation project. I hope this helps even if it's late. Take care :)

If you were to die today, can you say you are 100% sure you would go to heaven? Jesus loves you more than you could ever want to be loved and He is not willing that any should perish, but you can only get to heaven God's way, not your own. His Word, the Bible, tells us how we can have eternal life in heaven with Him. First, realize God loves you. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Bible teaches that regardless of your background, age, race, or any other factor, God loves you and desires a genuine, personal relationship with you. Second, realize everyone is a sinner. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." No one is perfect. We have all broken God's commandments. This is called sin, and it separates us from God. Third, realize sin has a price that must be paid. Romans 6:23 tells us, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The "wage" or payment for our sin is death, which according to the Bible is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell. Fourth, realize Jesus Christ died to pay the price for your sin. Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." If we choose to accept Christ, we do not have to pay the price of death and Hell for our sins because Jesus paid for our sins when He died on the Cross and rose again three days later! Finally, pray and ask Jesus Christ to be your Saviour, and claim His promise of eternal life. In Romans 10:13 the Bible says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." That is a promise directly from God that if you will pray to Him, confess that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive your sins, and accept Him as your Saviour, He promises to save you and give you the free gift of eternal life. Please don't put this decision off my friend. God does not promise us another day on this Earth. ---------------------------------------------------------------- If you don't have a church to attend, we would love to have you join our online family. My girlfriend passed away exactly a month ago at age 22 and the pain is excruciating and unbearable. I do agree with what he says but it's so hard to go on. I can't live without her, just the though of never seeing her smile, her message on phone, seeing her after coming from work, never cooking together or going on our little dates makes me cry endlessly. I don't know how to move on because I just can't. She is all I wanted in life, just her by my side, and she's been taken away from me. Why....just why?! What did I do to deserve this....?

I just want you to know that Jesus loves you more than you can ever possibly know and he wants to have a personal relationship with you. He knows exactly what you're going through and he can give you a peace in your heart like you've never experienced. I'd like to share with you the story of my best friend who lost her son. Even in the midst of her sorrow, she has joy. My hope and prayer is that you too come to have this joy in your life. God bless you! The Dalai.lama is not talking her about loss of a parent. Losing a mentor yes you can carry on straight away. But for instance a mother who breastfed you nurtured you took care of you when you were sick. Was you best friend and confidante. Always listening to you always caring and loving. Well that kind of loss takes time it's a process. If you pull yourself up as strong 💪 then you are not being compassionate towards yourself it takes time to grieve. Don't just jump to being strong folks. My mother passed away and I'm 66 years old mum was 86 years old. It will take time I tried the being strong part it only prolonged the suffering so I'm being compassionate towards myself now blessings to all.

+friedchicken1981 I know you are hurting and I am very sorry to hear about your loss. You should definitely give yourself the time you need for grief and sorrow. I think the point here is that in the long run it is possible to heal you wounds and find the strength in yourself, which is probably what your mother would wish for, if she was still around. Always keeping her in your heart - never forgetting her, but slowly and in your own pace finding happiness once again. A buddhist monk once said that a human being is like a television set. It has many channels. When you are grieving, the sorrow seems to be all that is there, it takes up all your space. But in reality you are not only your grief. You are so much more. It's ok to stay on the grief-channel for some time, but it doesn't need to define who you are (or how you are) in the long term. Your mother would undoubtedly wish for your happiness if she could see you. She is not just gone - she lives on inside you. There is no seperation. Best wishes from Denmark.

I've posted on a few similar uploads but here goes, my friend was murdered a month ago she was early 20's beautiful friendly happy and just, well innocent I loved her, her killer killed themselves after. I've dealt with death in my family, but this time it feels different, I mean murdered for nothing. I feel guilty for being here while she is gone, she was my world and now I just don't know what to do. I go to work and it's just a blur of faces and silence in my eyes anyway its consumed my soul, my waking hours and what little sleep I get. I can't enjoy anything because she should be here.

Matt768 I lost my best friend in October of 2016 (so a little over 5 months ago). She was leaving my house and driving home with her husband when they got into a fight, causing her to pull over and get out of the car. They were only a few miles away from home when she decided she wanted to get away from him and cross a busy highway. She was hit by a car and I was told she died instantly. She was my spirit sister. She was my very best friend. I still have moments of breaking down and feeling irreparable and inconsolable. What has gotten me through the last few months is therapy. It helps to talk about the person, their significance to you and learning to live on without their physical presence. It's still very difficult, but I wish you peace with your loss.

Matt768 hi Matt I just read your post, I understand how you feel. My husband was murdered and the feelings you're left with are so confusing. From guilt, rage, sadness etc. This may sound crazy now but the answer is to forgive. I forgave his killer for what he'd done. Like the Dalai Lama I'm a Buddhist so we believe in karma. We accept that we're born into this life with a path to fulfil and done leave earlier than others depending on past karma. So your best friend was put into this life to be in yours and to share beautiful times but he had to leave young. His killer was born into this life on the path of entering your lives in a very different way but to be born a killer is really sad. So as a Buddhist there's no need to try and make sense of things, it's all dependent on karma. Please don't feel guilty this had absolutely nothing to do with you. I hope you feel better soon Julie

I lost my father at age 15. I grieved very hard and had no coping skills taught to me. My pain lasted ten years. Then one day, I realized that my father lived only 31 short years on this planet. Ten years is 1/3rd of his entire life. I truly believe he sees me. I realized this must break his heart. I realized how terrible he must feel knowing his kid could not heal because of him and I felt that was dishonoring him by not living and taking advantage of being alive and living in an honorable way by him and carrying his teachings. Then one day I got very ill and almost died. All I could think about is, what if my death caused that kind of suffering on those I love today? How terrible I would feel if those who loved me suffered a decade of pain and lost time because of me, when every moment is so precious? Then I knew the truth first hand how my father must of felt for ten years and I regretted. I ask everyone please don’t grieve me. Be thankful. If only one tiny thing changed... one tiny choice was different, we might never have met at all. The miracle is that so many things had to line up exactly right for that connection - for that meeting to even happen. It’s a gift. It’s a miracle and when I see how beautiful it is and how precious a gift... the gratitude and will to honor the lost loved one, helps heal the pain. Also helping others. I learned by accident, that one of the best ways to heal ourselves is by helping others.

Per Christensen Of course. I hope I spare someone the hard lesson by sharing.🙏🏾 Socrates disagreed with Plato about not using theatrical poetry. Plato believed it should be banned or censured, but Socrates said that it should not because the value of modeling is such a great benefit to human beings and that the power could be used in a way that would allow people to learn second hand by watching, instead of first hand which can be more painful or expensive. I hope he was right. I think if we opened up about what we experience, it could go a long way towards helping each other.

See whiles I understand the sentiment and I adore this man and his teachings I have a problem with the message this time around. In the past 4 months I have lost 3 loved ones. A 20 year old grandniece who just decided to go into the woods one morning and hang herself. A week later a 27 year old niece found dead of an apparent drug overdose. Yet, 2 months laster my youngest sister at 54 just drops dead from I guess a massive stroke.... OK the reason I'm just putting it out there is ..... I believe in spiritualism and the tenants of his holiness but even with that...... why?

It is easy to say to think about good etc. but when one looses a spouse, child or young sibling. It is not this easy. Loosing a teacher/tutor is not the same as loosing a child/spouse or sibling or young parents of children.

I appreciate the point made here. The Dalai Lama's answer in this video does not address the grief of my teenage daughter who has lost her mother (my wife) three months back. I cannot tell her that there is no point in being very sad, work on developing determination to fulfill your mother's wishes. May be years later, but such advice is inappropriate at this stage of intense grief. As of now, I listen to what she has to say and together we share my wife's life stories.

---------------------------------------------------------------- If you don't have a church to attend, we would love to have you join our online family. i came across your touching comment in the grieving of love ones post here on face book. Well am really sorry about that okay 😒☹and I know how it feels to be lonely without our love ones, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life must move on because death is inevitable no matter how hard we try! And we'll all have to face it someday..

Dear friend, I just want you to know that Jesus loves you more than you can ever possibly know and he wants to have a personal relationship with you. He knows exactly what you're going through and he can give you a peace in your heart like you've never experienced. I'd like to share with you the story of my best friend who lost her son. Vintage Lark - so sorry to hear that. I know it's very tough, I lost my mum two years ago. I attended counselling and found it very helpful for working through all of my emotions. Two years on its still difficult but I'm just taking each day as it comes and that's all we can do. You're not alone.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my aunt in 2011, and one month after I had a stroke. My aunt commited suicide, and I have been living all these years feeling regret, as if i could have done something to stop it. I would try over and over again just to bury my thoughts.I will pray for you. & if you need to cry, let it all out. Remember, your mom is always with you in your heart and your soul.

I lost my dad 4 months ago in this 14th it will be 5... he passed away unexpectedly at age 49 before even turning 50 ... . We didn't live together . We were separated since 2013 but after 2015 we stopped talking no visiting nothing. Every time I would visit my dad it would end up with the police because he was a 24/7 alcoholic and pretty abusive too . So this one time when the police came they threatened mom to not come back to visit this man or else me and my brother will be taken to custody... so we never visited him again ... over the years his health was deteriorating in extreme levels he couldn't work he was homeless I didn't know much then after I turned 18 last year I thought of visiting him but my mom would remind us how scary of a person he was so all the courage I had just turned in to cowardness I feared meeting my own dad . The one that I am the spitting image of ... when I heard that he passed around and I heard it so late the pain was endless . I don't even know what his last wish was I didn't even fulfill his wish to see us. There were numerous times when we would get messages from different people that my dad wanted to see us but we didn't go all those traumatic experiences would make me indecisive and now that his gone the guilt the regret it's endless . We left dad for a better life my mom found another man right I just had so much to deal so much to fight in the end I lost my dad and now I have this step dad who keeps talking to his daughter and it pisses me off. This man ruined my life and now he gets to love his children while he would tell us that is risky to meet our dad because he was mentally unstable ... . Now that he is gone tho my mom and my step dad tell me that you should have visited him if you loved him that much . Right on those time i just want to give up life....

Dear Amanda, I’m sorry to hear all that you have been through. It must be really difficult to go through and you will never know if meeting your dad would have made things better or worse😢. Please remember this: 1) Your mom and stepdad aren’t perfect. They probarbly tried their best to advice you, but they also make mistakes and are sometimes driven by crazy emotions (just like everyone else. 2) Your dad is not you. He made some wrong turns in life, that ended up messing everything up for him and for your family. You now have the choice to not make the same mistake. To take a different turn in life. Human beings are incredible. They can do anything. 3) This to will pass! Life is difficult right now but circumstances will change and give rise to something else. Nothing is permanent. Don’t give up because you don’t know what will come tomorrow. When I was 19 I felt like giving up sometimes. Today life is 1000 times better and I’m so happy / grateful that I kept on going. I wish you all the best! Big hug from Per (in Denmark). ❤️

@@foodiepeople9882 If you were to die today, can you say you are 100% sure you would go to heaven? Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. @@shadowfile7775 If you were to die today, can you say you are 100% sure you would go to heaven? Dear friend, I just want you to know that Jesus loves you more than you can ever possibly know and he wants to have a personal relationship with you. He knows exactly what you're going through and he can give you a peace in your heart like you've never experienced. I'd like to share with you the story of my best friend who lost her son. Even in the midst of her sorrow, she has joy. My hope and prayer is that you too come to have this joy in your life. God bless you! It all makes sense but rational changes NOTHING & doesn't answer the question that can never be answered - WHY? That's the question that keeps you from moving on.
@perchst
@perchst 6 лет назад
Giovanni di Capo Of course you need to allow your emotions time to heal, but I believe that the 'why' is a rational question and therefore needs to be answered with a rational response. Human beings have both rationality and emotions, and sometimes a rational view on existence can have a positive impact on ones emotions. I would suggest that you search for 'dying' + 'Ajahn Brahm' here on youtube. A buddhist monk that I think is my best bet for answering your 'why' that needs to be answered in order to heal your wounds and give you a chance to go on. Best wishes.

“Grieve thou not over the troubles and hardships of this nether world, nor be thou glad in times of ease and comfort, for both shall pass away. This present life is even as a swelling wave, or a mirage, or drifting shadows. Could ever a distorted image on the desert serve as refreshing waters? No, by the Lord of Lords! Never can reality and the mere semblance of reality be one, and wide is the difference between fancy and fact, between truth and the phantom thereof. Know thou that the Kingdom is the real world, and this nether place is only its shadow stretching out. A shadow hath no life of its own; its existence is only a fantasy, and nothing more; it is but images reflected in water, and seeming as pictures to the eye.” - Abdu’l-Baha
