Location: Municipal Brew Works
System: Butler County
Test time: 1st Wednesday of the month at noon
Enthusiasts present: Central Ohio Refuse, Mitchell (Montecat 33), Holly (TheSirenGeek), Bruin (StormWarning04)
For the 1st Wednesday of this month, I tagged along with Central Ohio Refuse and went back to this thing to meet up with Holly, Mitchell, and Bruin. This time, I recorded it from the ground instead of the parking garage, and I must say that it is much louder from the ground. Sorry about the talking at the end, someone came over and decided to chat with us as the siren was winding down. Overall, it was fun getting to meet with friends again. Enjoy!

As you can see during start-up and shutdown, these old Henry O. Ricci "Sirex" units had a rotating drive on a meaty separate motor, thus freeing up the large, high voltage, high RPM motor topside to run the huge chopper assembly underneath the "tortoise shell" cover/intake duct... The "Super Sirex" units had a dual shaft motor that ran two sets of dual toned choppers and another megaphone out the opposite end... Both types were LOUD, and could be heard for miles!

That's not true as the sirex was omni-directional and looked like a siro-drone, it basically is a siro-drone but 7/10 port and this siren here is also 7/10 port but not a sirex because this was a prototype of a super sirex and Harry decided to make the sirex 7/10 port and fyi there are single headed super sirexes but their rare

I will own a siren company and I will buy out H.O.R. Siren Company I will make parts for H.O.R. sirens even I will make their old sirens and my prices will start at 750 $ to 5000 $ for a siren
