The original was ahead of its time. It wasn’t much altering to the sample for family feud. It already had it all. So so dope when u listen to the original
depends on the sample, not many artists and producers manage to pull off a great sample generally (especially mainstream) but there are still some that do
The introduction of this song explains why Jay Z used this as his sample on "Family Fued". I just loooooove it the 2 biggest names from different spheres mash up together! What a lit time to be black!!! 🌌👐😍
Hey Twinkie and The Clarks, I need y'all to bring this Song out of retirement since 4:44 is out. Oh and yall's song "I Am Blessed". That one is dope too.
"Funk not only moves, but removes." I love the Stevie Wonder influence onthis song. And how the CS' seem more like support for the band than the other way around. That bass, organ, drummer and piano got me feeling some type of way. Hiya!
I was moved to go to see Jay-Z during the 4:44 M.I.A. in Philly ;My birthday is 4/4 so it's always been a special day. Great to see this here and hear the connection considering my grandma's and my favorite song is Psalm 31 by the Clark Sisters. This is lovely.
+probablynot not even this is a gospel song meant to praise God not for a rapper who confesses "Jesus can't save you life starts when the church ends" to sample
"What's better than one billionaire?...Two Especially if they from the same hue as you" - Referring to him and Beyonce. Listen to it again, not just about money, points at the idea of black people coming up which is pretty much the whole album. Funny because misinterpreting lyrics is also a strong concept of the album.
I love that hip hop samples these incredible songs, but what's even more incredible is how the original was even put together for it to be sampled. Hip hop was inspired but the gift is in the originators.
I'm sitting here cracking up remembering my Pre-Adolescent days when I actually could sing along in their octave,..Now I sing it two octaves down like Mel Franklin! 😂😂😂
Haya is the name of our Creator "black people". Daniel 12:4 (look it up) knowledge will be increased in the last days. I don't know about y'all but I'm seeing what's going out here today and I know we're at those times. He is our one and only savior (Isaiah 43:11 look it up) Follow the commandments and seek him. I got love love for my people.
Funny thing about this hebrew-titled song is the Clark Sisters didnt and probably still dont know their israelites...The Almighty Mighty Rise of Israel coming home Louder and Larger by the day!!!
I love how the new heads believe Beyonce was the first to sample this...not true. Please check the beginning of Salt N Pepa's "Everybody Get Up." Ha Ya is the whole background of the song sped up
It’s absolutely not used in that S&P song. That song samples Parliament’s “All your goodies are gone”. I means damn, digging for samples ain’t even that hard nowadays from when we had to do it.
