How to improve RD Laguz 1. Allow use of Discipline to grow Strike rank. Makes no sense why they can't. 2. Make gauges grow fast but deplete slow. Otherwise Cats bad. Hawks good. 3. Don't make their EXP gain dogshit. 4. Don't lose gauge from dicks using Hand Axes and such.
I still find it hilarious that in Hard Mode 4-P (I mostly put Haar/Jill in the Micaiah group), Haar even at BASE level can handle the enemies there moderately fine, which goes to show how busted the man is. Although in one playthrough, Haar actually got killed due to a 37%, 3 crit Thunder mage in 2-E, which was shocking to see, although the enemy thunder/dark mage crit animation is cool to see
Listen Nealuchi isn’t great but I think you’re misremembering his combat performance in 1-P because he actually does most of the Wyvern’s health with an attack. Enough for Marcia or Elincia to finish them off. Plus he faces like 0% hit chances
Yeah I would argue he is the best combat unit on that map since Haar takes a good while to show up. He is also pretty solid in 2-2, pretty mid in 2-E though.
Nice work, definitely happy to see some Nephenee bashing here. Saw a poll a while back where like 70% of people said she was better than Kamui in Shadows of Valentia and I was just like “how?!”. Besides Edward, Aran, and Nolan Nephenee is easily the character hurt most by hard mode vs. normal mode. I will say Nealuchi is getting slept on a bit. He definitely does more than 5 damage in his joining chapter, I think he does about 11-13x2 in part 2 with A rank strike. But the real interesting part comes from investing into his strike rank. You can actually use 2-P to get his strike rank up to S and almost SS if you just untransform him in a cloud and have him get swarmed by the 1 range wyverns, using Leanne’s concoction if he gets hit. He’s so fast that he gets in 2 hits a turn even while untransformed, making his strike rank shoot through the roof. No one in this chapter really needs the exp anyway, even Haar only gets like 1 level if he kills every enemy on the map. Plus this map can’t go any faster than it already does so this shouldn’t break the no grinding rule. With this done he can one round tier 1 enemies and almost one round any tier 2 enemy that isn’t a general, if he manages to get SS I believe he one rounds everything except for generals. In part 4 if he manages to get SS strike rank he’s on par with base level Ulki with A strike rank in terms of speed and effective strength stat, though his durability is a tad worse along with the beak being slightly inferior to a hawk’s talon if they have the same strike rank. This is really nice in 4-3 because you need every flier you can get your hands on, and his speed and bulk are still acceptable at that point even at base level. I think I’d put him right above Calill because what you said about his availability was right on the money, as well as having to stay on top of his gauge. At least raven gauges are slightly slower than hawks and tigers I guess. Finally, I won’t disagree with Tormod in E tier but he’s gotta be above Vika no matter which way you slice it, possibly Leo as well depending on how much you care about availability.
I think the reason people tend to either think Nephenee is good or at least enjoy using her is because she is basically the only character in part 2 who can have anything even remotely resembling a normal training arc. She starts out mediocre but good enough to use, and makes great use of bonus experience after an initial point of favoritism in parts 2 and 3. Nobody else in part 2 can really claim to have something like this; yes, Haar obviously exists, but he doesn’t really have a training arc. He just shows up and destroys everything. People generally want to have at least one training project going on when they play FE, and Nephenee is just the one who fits that mold best in part 2. Also, it could be transfer file bias. Transfers Nephenee is so much better than non-transfers to the point where she may as well be a different unit entirely
@@hrr2b239 totally agree, I wish the hard mode exp penalties were a bit less harsh. If it makes mediocre units awful even with heavy investment that’s a problem. I really like that radiant dawn is an FE game that forces you to use everyone, I just wish there was enough exp to go around to maximize that aspect of the game.
1-E to 3-6 is like 11 levels for DB then 3-7 to 3-11 makes it 16 if that were the case so it would be hilarious to have promoted someone like Jill then have her come back as spd capped level 12 Dragonmaster
You said you’d been tiering for like 4 hours, and you’ve gone incredibly in depth on each one, probably just tired. I wouldn’t even move Nealuchi more than a tier anyways, you weren’t far off the mark.
Just wanted to say that Nullify doesn't actually make Haar as invincible as you make him out to be. Still the best unit in the game by a long shot, but without Nullify he takes 28 damage at base from the weakest thunder sages in 2-E. He also faces a 5% crit rate from them. Nullify removes 10 damage from the Elthunder's 5mt being tripled. This means that he still takes 18 at base from them, so a crit does 54 to him. The only skill that can actually make him invincible is sending the Fortune scroll over to the GMs. That way, sure he takes 28 from that Thunder sage but at least he has zero risk of death from it. It'a not like other units will finish him off anyway with his crazy defense and hp stat
Yeah, fortune is actually pretty useful to send over. Not just for that but also to prevent Ike from facing crit if he is luck screwed. What’s even better for haar is to have him receive the brave lance in 2-E, since then he can one round thunder mages before facing a counter attack.
Radiant Dawn is definitely an ambitious game in the FE franchise. It's wild to me when base 20 speed this relatively early in the game is considered bad. But in a game with 3 tiers of promotions and high stat caps that was bound to happen
man Guess I am oddball I never really used haar much when I played radiant dawn. then again I seem to have a filer allergy when I play fire emblem. maybe next playthrough i could fix that
fiona should have her own tier below F and heres my reasoning. Meg can stuff a hole in her join chapter where she barely doesnt get 1 rounded and if you feel like it can train her with laura staff botting in the back. astrid has bows and can do some reliable, albeit bad, but still its chip damage and she gifts you a paragon scroll. fiona does neither of those things, even on eays mode with full bexp at her advantage will not hit any caps whatsoever at tier 1 or tier 2, is in one of the bottom 3 tower classes, has imo the worst weapon type in the game, and at least meg makes zihark a good wife.
1:05:36 Gamble can be op when paired with a swordmaster with vague katti or an assassin with stiletto or baselard. I use it on stephan or volk in endgame and im getting 70-100 crit chances
weird, maybe i was lucky with lvl ups with nep and broom cause those 2 carried me on hardmode, my only problem was not knowing what blessed weapons i needed at the end of the game lmao
So this is an old video so you might know by now but I believe the way skills work in path of radiance is that if a unit comes with a skill equipped, unequipping it will just destroy it. Unequipped skills can only be reassigned if you applied them in the first place I think
I'm months late, but as a Tormod fan... yeah, no, you can't really credit him for Celerity. In fact, it's kind of the opposite - if you *do* want to forcibly use him later, 0-cost Celerity is probably the reason. And to do that, he has to *keep* Celerity - which means that the Dawn Brigade goes without during their hardest chapters. The specific combination of a really valuable skill and whack availability is a detriment to his endgame performance.
If sothe wasnt a required tower unit, id rank heather over him (conditionally). At the end of the day theyre both rogue classes, so their strength caps will never amount to anything substantial. The best way to maximize their utility in combat is to proc their mastery skill Bane. From there its just 1 hit and death. “Oh but sothe has higher skill growths” true but the more effective way to proc bane is by having more attack turns. Heathers speed is obscene, increasing attack turns and likely to avoiding everything. Slap on an adept on her and she can tear through the entire map. It helps too that the treasures of her levels are just generally better
Yes astit is defenly F tier becos i got one ho got inctebly bles in 4 levle she got a 2 6 stats levels and 2 seven stats levels if this was avereg she wood have 650% grtrotw wood wood be insesn an she was just ok she had 4+ sped foem her bas +3 sterg +3 hp +2 magic +4 deffnes + 4lunk +4 slkil and +2 resitsn in 4 levels and she was just ok.
