Welcome, friend! 🌻 I would love to hear from you on this topic! I believe small steps lead to big changes. I'd love to hear some of the small steps you've taken towards healthier habits! Thank you for watching. ❤️
One of my biggest and most helpful healthier habits is waking up before the kids, it seriously sets the whole mood for the day. If I can do my Bible study and stretch and do a little workout and have a little me time to think. I mean it's day and night difference in my home. Also, I stopped doing a timed schedule and started doing a routine. It's been a game changer. I didn't think I could do it. Here I am 3 years later, and I am doing it and I love it. You've inspired me so much!!! We use the Good and the Beautiful, I Absolutely love them and Masterbooks. Love it so much. God is so Good, I love his timing. I have had to give myself grace on days when I didn't quite measure up and that's all from the Lord. 🥰 And he inspires me to be inspired and sharpened by His people. What you're doing is so great for so many moms, I want to eventually be able to do this too!
So, I though this reply was the one you sent me lol. But isn't God amazing? I saw that other comment you sent after I posted this. His timing though! It's perfect!
It’s been such a blessing when I take social media breaks! I’ve been wanting to get rid of it completely. You say losing Instagram was a blessing, but what about all of the other social media platforms. They all are distracting to me ❤
Oh, how I've missed hearing your heart, sweet friend! I'm so bad about getting on RU-vid. Thankful to hop on today and listen to your heart and wisdom you share! This really touched my heart today and what God has been speaking to me. My favorite days are when we have no plans and have the opportunity to let life happen and spend those moments with my kids. I'm always reminded that when we say yes to something, it means we say no to something else. I want to give my family my best yes, and choose wisely how we spend our days. Bless you!
Homemaker: know thyself! Be the homemaker you were designed and meant to be, instead of some unrealistic ideal. Strive to be real and authentic instead of towards some unrealistic ideal.
Your words are so true and comforting! I have a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old. I feel like I am addicted to my phone (I only have facebook and youtube now) but I want to be on it less and spend more time with my kids doing more productive and fun things! ❤
I’m in my third homeschool year, I love looking at other moms that homeschool and are going through a lot of the same things and you’re more seasoned than me on managing all the things. So thank you for sharing. I don’t get much self care and I’m working on habits like u talked about so I can. 3 young kids and two are autistic, so therapy days are constant plus homeschooling, housekeeping, and all the things we do. Sometimes it’s get tough and I’m worn to a frazzle. But I know the Lord wants me to do what I’m doing according to HIs word and the peace in my heart for them. Yes I doubt myself, but I CANT LET GO of those moments when they happen and the success they’re making. So thank you again
Girl I feel ya! I have two littles. One I homeschool and my younger is also in therapy for being on the spectrum. I put myself last and it really gets to me but I know I’m doing what I need to for my kids. I use to be a full time working mom years ago with my two older children and I longed to be the one caring for them instead of having to work outside the home. It sure isn’t easier but definitely more fulfilling! Just gotta work on my self care routine so I can get back to feeling like a person instead of a mommy robot 😊
I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS! I can only imagine how hard keeping up with a youtube channel is but sometimes what God needs from us is the harder path. Your videos have been such a huge blessing not only in my homeschool but also in my life personally and I truly believe God is working through you for moms/people like me. You are doing a great thing here and I hope you don't go anywhere any time soon! I come away from your videos so refreshed and feeling so encouraged EVERY TIME!
😭🥹😭 Wow!!!!!! Can I keep you in my back pocket every day??! Your words are so incredibly humbling to me. Thank you for your kindness and for taking the time to encourage me. You have no idea how much your words mean. Thank you for everything. ❤️🤗
I'm going to work on waking up earlier. I totally relate to not being an early bird naturally (more of a night owl) and working on logging more outdoor hours. And less time on screens! Thanks for the encouragement 🤍 slowing down to be more intentional with my faith, homemaking, parenting, homeschooling...
Thank you, Jamie!! Your video resonates with me!!! I have a 7 year old and 1 year old twins. I am continuously learning and growing on my journey as a mom and wife. Your videos provide so much inspiration and encouragement!! Thank you!!
You are my absolute favorite homeschool mom to listen to. You have encouraged me so much in many of my seasons and circumstances . I watched you before I made my decision to homeschool almost 4 years ago now. Thank you thank you thank you for all the tips and awesome things you do. It's made me believe in myself. Keep on keeping on!
You have absolutely NO IDEA how much my soul needed to hear this today. 🥹😭Your words are a gift to me from God.🙌 Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to encourage me. You have no idea how deeply I needed this today. THANK YOU SO MUCH, for everything. 💕
And I am in a season of illness. My body just keeps crashing everywhere.. I've had 2 knee surgeries and during those times, I felt like there was NOTHING I could do to teach but with the tips on just waking up earlier and having a set routine we do every day. Not any specific time but yes, we get it done and that makes my heart happy. 💛 I have a hernia repair coming up, I go tomorrow to see what they want to do, and I have a doctors appointment today for the swelling, numbness and tingling in my hands and feet.. lol I'm a mess and still inspired by you. We simply live over here. Thank you friend.
I love your channel! This is my second year homeschooling and you have helped me and my family so much! One small habit I've started is making up all the beds as soon as we're out of them and it's been a huge game changer. Thank you so much for these videos.
Sarah, thank you!!!! 🥹 I love the simple habit of making beds! Such a simple but incredibly helpful habit! It's so much easier to walk away when it's made...an undone bed makes me wanna climb right back in! And for our kids...YES it is a must! 😄 Thank you for sharing, friend. 💕
Sit outside and watch your chickens 😂👍🏼😍 yes!!! That is one of our favorites and it really helps me be present!! Right now we are covered in snow, but Spring is coming 🥰 I love your channel! Great and inspiring video! Thank you!! PS I left social media 4 years ago (aside from watching RU-vid) and it’s been great. I jotted down so much from this video!! Thank you! Saying no means saying yes to something else. Definitely feeling that! One small habit or step that I’ve been taking lately is doing a brain dump before bed, and then writing in my 5 minute gratitude journal. Also, trying to exercise and create an exercise routine during the day
Thanks for sharing Jamie! (Hope I spelled your name right). I know we shared on IG about this but I just feel the same with YT and “work”. It feels like it takes me away from the kids sometimes so I’m trying to get up earlier for it, because it is my creativity that I know I need but never ever want it to take away from my beautiful kiddos and our time together. And all the other things you said I totally feel. I’m in that season of saying yes to so much because we’re new where we live and want it to find our people and help my kids make friends. Glad your getting that time and setting up those good habits. ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your precious time away from your family to encourage all of us mums and I love seasons as well. I recently came across this wonderful book about seasons I use it as a devotional and I love the fact that it is loaded with bible references at the end of each chapter. I will try to insert a photo of the cover but if not the title is “ Turning of Days “ by Hannah Anderson
Hey girl! Thank you so much for sharing this video! I really feel like I needed to hear a lot of the advice you gave. This is so inspiring. I love your channel.❤
I love this! Thank you for sharing. I have to tell you though, I'm folding ( and putting away) laundry as I watch this, and when you said, "Get up early"...I HEARD..." Get a Harley". I was like... WHAT did she just say?!?! 🤣🤣🤣 My mind is squirrely like that though! 🤪😆🤣
@@SimplyLivingIt I'm not even a motorcycle person...so have NO CLUE where that came from! 🤣🤣🤣 I'm more of a " get a kayak" kinda girl...but I already have one, so all good there! It's a good place to pray! 😁❤️
We are busy by nature, 2 co-ops I direct one on the board of the other. Music, sports, scouts , dance, tumbling ,church, animals, land etc but 6 kids so...but when we are still. Qe are very still!!! I will say to the kids no, not today it is a quiet and still day
