Maybe if it was popular enough to get a console port, I'm sure the now-defunct Jaleco not only would have released _Hachoo!_ on the Super NES, but most likely would have fixed the hit detection, not to mention edit the animations of the enemy characters being thrown into the screen.
The video description gave me a good chuckle. A shame the hit detection appears to be so wonky. But hey, you get to do stuff like fly on clouds and punch and kick jiangshi, monks and gigantic women while a sealed statue slowly reveals a nasty demon, so there is that!
I hate to admit it, but the thumbnail did attract me to this video, LOL. I knew of _Hachoo!_ for some years through the Internet and MAME, but I've never played it. I LOVE the Stage 2 BGM. Also, I like that, out of all the animation of the enemies getting thrown at the screen, the monster girls are the only ones that get stripped down to their undergarments with more than enough time and animation to see their bodies. Nice playthrough of this game, by the way. The hit detection looks atrocious, though.
I get the feeling the throw the guys at the screen thing was added in because they knew they had a virtually unplayable, clearly unfinished game. If you can't make a game fun to play, just throw in some dumb gags and pretend it was always supposed to be a funny game.
