There's very tiny hole on the connectors clamp check Both sides to locate it , they not easy to remove, you will have to keep try push on hole with picking tools or Sharp screwdriver to unlock it and at same time pull , I hope that will be helpful, thank you and all the best 🙏

my chest freezer is a thomson model TFRF520-D-SM...this was exposed to a high current in the home and the bulbs burned out ( on and run light). I currently connect this without the bulb ....is it normal that the freezer hot on the sides even though it cools?...

This may cause by bad starter relay, or maybe bad thermostat , bith must be check or tested, start testing temperature thermostat, turn to max cold the freezer must starts on if doesn't that means bad thermostat, Then turn thermostat to lowest cold the freezer must turn off , it may take few seconds if it doesn't that mean bad thermostat. The starter relay located beside the motor in the black plastic box. You can test it by removing it and shake it if it makes noise or something inside means it's bad. @jamiemorales2022 ، hello my friend, I am glad to read your wonderful comment and great support 💕, and as always I am happy to answer your question or to help you the best I can, the temperature thermostat wires are connected to the refrigerator compressor and to inside refrigerator to measure the temperature when refrigerator or freezer gets colder at desired settings temperature the temperature thermostat will turn off the compressor and when refrigerator gets littlle warmer or below the desired temperature setting the thermostat will turn on, So you don't need to do anything with temperature thermostat wires leave them as is, it's important to watch the refrigerator to make sure it's working, temperature thermostat shuts off and after few minutes when freezer gets littlle warmer turns on, according to the temperature thermostat setting, The refrigerator compressor has it own thermostat it's called starter relay, this mostly gets burned out or broken because of the heat, it's always recommended to replace it, but its also repairable most of them, or hack it, by delete it and by pass directly to the power, but it's not recommended just in case the compressor get over heated, or the main refrigerator temperature thermostat stops working, I have done this few times last few years and no problems at all, however it's important to keep the refrigerator temperature thermostat at the right temperature setting, for example °3c or °0c etc and watch the refrigerator autamtic turns on at below temperature setting and shuts when refrigerator gets cold at desired setting, please don't hesitate to ask questions or if you need help feel free, I will be happy to help, thank you so much and all the best ❤️🙏

Hello my friend, th3 purpose of this video is to show how to fix broken freezer starter relay. Inside the relay there's a thermostat it was broken, it makes connections between ac main power 120 v and compressor with external adjustable thermostat, Thank you

I replaced the stone disc inside the original relay housing with one from a new relay. New relay was 15 ohm while original was 4.7. New disc was also bigger. Plugged in and fridge is working. Is it safe to just change out the stone disc like I did?
