Mine starting running rich lately. I heard about this needle valve and the accelerator pump diaphragm. Hopefully this is culprit. Thanks again for the video Taryl.

Taryl, great video! You are right on when it comes to Kohler carb parts. Here in Canada, the kit can cost up to $200. Any advice on replacing the seat? According to Kohler, it has a non-replaceable seat, so any seat damage requires complete carb replacement, which here is about $450.

I have the same problem. Some people say a Q-tip with some polishing compound works, another guy uses a small ball bearing and a brass punch to reform the seat if the Q-tip trick doesn't work, I got lucky, all I did was clean the seat with a Q-tip and carb cleaner and a new float needle.

Needle valve tip coming off happened to my brothers 1950 Hogly-Davison motocicle. He was 30 miles from home & had to load the 8' board, tie downs go pick him up in my piece of junk 1974 Chev truck. It was a Bendix, witch carbatrstes them old mochines good. The original carb cast from solid brass but didn't have a giddie up pump and went by the handle Linkert. Or it's secret agent # M-74B

On a lot of the Kawasaki carburetors you can use the needle and the float out of a Briggs push mower with the float bowl carburetor. The needle works fine but you do have to shave just a fraction off the float where it straddles the float support posts.. Use a sharp utility knife. Kawasaki likes to put it to you too.

Great video. As a Canadian I tried to order this needle valve directly from the Honda dealer. They informed me that there national database does not list that part number. Any help? Also not much on Ebay either.

hi, Taryl love your videos the skits are a bit much but if you like making then, keep it up. but my question is what do you think about the new EFI engines that Kawasaki and Kohler are putting on the landscaping mowers? the dealers are saying you must go to the dealer the engines are not repairable outside the dealer. unless it's deck realated

Question for you fellas.... I have a 2012 60” cub cadet tank with the Kohler. 400 hrs... My question is what would cause my mower to kind of vibrate a little every few seconds!!??? I'm wanting to say that it has something to do with the PTO clutch/ belt but not sure. Is something going wrong?? Only happens when PTO is NOT engaged!! Hopefully I gave you enough info to get an answer! Thank you!

Hello,all So I have a kohler 7000 series with that smart choke.well I'm having problems with it now.runs rich.cant seem to find the thermostat to replaced.everyrhing check out good.just smart choke won't open choke all the way.what can i do to fix this!?!?!?

Yep, Many parts are the same under another name. Most KIA car parts can be had from a ford of some type. MAP sensor being one. KIA part $120.00 Same Ford Part ? $23.00 .... LOL

Never forget the Auto guys almost never make parts anymore The parts guys do like Magna in Magna's case they also make complete cars for some manufacturers. Never be surprised if you find the same parts used by many manufacturers.

I find it crazy how much shops charge for parts . Like a kohler v-twin they want at one shop 198$ for one starter at another shop they want 230$ an the last shop they want 161$ .. go online an order a starter for 45$ . Still to this day can not figure out why shop charging 3x sometime 4x the price... Like that carb you have in the vid . you can get that carb for 40 to 50$ online . shop here want to charge 380$ for it .i know making alittle money off the parts . but dang not get rich quick .. i ant knocking no one .. i been doing small engine repairs for years as a side hobby. Maybe explain in a vid one day :)

yeah I just replaced the entire carb recently! Gee thanks a day late and a dollar short! haha. I bought the needle kit for the one I had and it was not right. so I just bought and entire carb. KA-CHING!

BRAVO! Yep, I have that carb on my PS-KT745-3011 engine that drives my Husqvarna LGT2654. I don't need the needle valve yet, BUT at 150 hours on 4th year I owned this mower, it suddenly started a wretched HUNTING. I repair small engines on the side, so after making sure everything else was OK, I removed the carb, extracted the MAIN JET, and drilled it out to 1/16 of on inch. --> YES: 1/16" Put it back together, and it runs absolutely GREAT. Thank you sir, and take care during this FAKE GLOBAL SHAKEDOWN known as a PLANDEMIC. FAKE FAKE FAKE! Mr. Brown North Central Florida
