Thank you, I was struggling with the location of the screw attack 2:05:00 for those looking for it 2:21:22 and the wave beam which I didn’t know was even in the game
It's also sad because unless there's a new Metroid Prime, there will never be a new Power Suit. In the mainline 2D series Metroid, Samus lost her Power Suit at the beginning of Fusion, being replaced with the Fusion Suit and later a modified version of the Power Suit in Dread.
@@Davian2073 Dread Power Suit is actually the fusion suit regenerating itself, yep, it can regenerate itself, it wasn't modified, it's just on it's first stages of regeneration, at some point it will regenerate back to a power suit state
Anyone who has played the 1.3 version know where the hell is the Energy tank in Tangle? That entire area in 1:26:30 has no items in it in that version, the energy tank is the only one I'm still missing
Nice to hear mix of music from Metroid Zero Mission, Metroid Fusion, Another Metroid 2 Remake and Super Metroid in this rom hack. And in such glorious quality too!
Oh wow, I did the hell run for Varia. I was confused by the sudden difficulty spike, I thought it seemed like much too tight of a hell run, especially since I only had one E-tank.
That's fair but I guess I'm the type to constantly try and brute-force a solution until the game yields lol. It was really satisfying to finally get to the end. Now if only the developers of Other M would follow that philosophy...
First, you should have clean Metroid: Zero Mission ROM (USA), Flips patcher (see description) and the patch itself (also see description). Then you want to boot Flips patcher (please, unzip it), press "Apply Patch", then choose the patch you downloaded from Metroid Construction (.bps file), then choose the clean Zero Mission ROM, then choose the destination for the patched file. And that's it, this saved file is what you want to play on the emulator. Honestly, I could just send you the link to the patched ROM, but I can't because of legal issues. After all, it is better to learn yourself how to patch ROMs in 3 clicks, rather than asking for a patched ROM in the comment sections of RU-vid. This is true not only for the Metroid Desolation, but for every romhack.
How can you get lost- This game isn't for you, I recommend you linear games like Metroid Fusion or Metroid Dread, with small maps where you can go only forward (imagine getting lost in the first area, just bomb everywhere!)
It is doable for veteran players. Just a little harder and longer than original. If you played Zero Mission for 100%, I am pretty sure you should not worry about difficulty there.
@Mikhail yeah I beat Zero Mission This year for first time playing on my modded vita on gba emulator....I'm Not No Veteran Man Hahah ...so Just Like In zero mission this hack Shows You where to go also?
@@Gloryboyquan It does not have chozo statues showing you the key items. But level design is more like in Metroid Dread. Guides you towards your next item by points of no returns, so you have small chunk of map to work with. You can always follow this walkthrough if you get lost in this massive world.
@@Little_Mac_12127I don’t think I’m playing this game right, I fought mother brain without space jump, my only beams are ice and now I have to do a stealth with 4 energy tanks?
Hey, it's me almost a year later, I'm sorry for coming off as hostile, I was just frustrated because I couldn't patch the rom, I play roms on my phone so I'm guessing it must be harder to play rom hacks on mobile. All I would like is to know how exactly to patch this rom hack so that I can enjoy it.
