really shows how much depth AOM had back in the day, however what made me love the game so much is how casual it is and how good it is at creating atmosphere and storytelling. Plus tips like this that give that tiny edge that you sometimes need to manage everything a little better
I must disagree with your opinion. There is one major drawback in Age of mythology .compared to warcraft 3 and battle for middle earth 2 heroes and units dont have a active/passive ability skill sets. This heavily limits the game's true potential imo. Also the game should have many more god powers and we should be able to use them in reasonable cooldowns. It should be obtainable from temples with enough favor and should be rechargable also changeable to keep things fresh. When you use god powers once in a 1 hour game. Thats it. You cant use it again and it freaking sucks. We need 4 abilities/skills for every hero and myth units and we need formation tactics such as spartan shield wall for hoplites. If these changes are made i am sure aom retold will thrive and make bank
@@mylifeisfunny8911 but that is what makes AoM unique. You need to use your Godly powers with wysdom so you can gather some advantage on your enemy. the heroes and Mythical units have Special habilities, but you need to use them well to kill the strongest enemy units. AoM different from all of the others RT's have an fucking Titan unit with 7K Hp. AoM is unique in his own way, and in my opinion transforming it into an Warcraft 3 ( wich is unique in his own Way too ) will just make the game lost his Shine.
@@mylifeisfunny8911AOM is a easy game but can go deep it is a easier strategy game and doesn't need to be hard. In the new aom you can re use abilities and with that I agree
Also another pro temple move as Hades is to delete your temple then wait till you have taken multiple casulities and send villagers to rebuild temple close to eny base for a free Shade zerg!!!!!!!
I am certainly not an expert, but...why not just keep a villager or two praying at all times for the sake of always having enough favour for upgrades, heroes, and monsters when you want them?
Efficiency. You don't want to have resources just sitting, because they're wasted resources you could just gather when you actually need them, and gather resources you need right now instead
@@justinparks6686 It is efficiency to keep 1 and stack it as the gather rate decrease with the number of villagers. This doesn't work as with other ressources.
@@alexisbelfer7881 Potentially resource gathering efficient, but not usable resource efficient. If you put an extra villager on wood, you now have extra wood which you don't need, and less of another resource that you do currently need
