haibike Sduro motor fault

Haibike Sduro almtn rc motor fault purchased from bicycle24.com. will not switch off at switch on handle bars and would not assist when fault first appeared along with the display flashing on and off continually with all characters displayed, two days in a warm building improved this, but still will not switch off at the handle bars switch and boots up when the battery is placed on the bike. Help I love this bike!

Take out the console, remove ITS battery, wait 10 seconds, replace the battery, check ;) Should do it ;)

i have the same problem to.i am thinking if i will buy new power button and new lcd would that work ?

Was it loose, wet or corroded connectors? What was determined to be the final cause?

yes the motor was replaced under warranty, unfortunately the replacement motor trashed a gear wheel a month out of warranty, spares are unobtainable, new motor £550 not happy!

gezvic thanks for replying who did you get the replacement motor from mine still works but dash will not turn off same as yours,I stripped mine and the circuit board was damp but there are no parts available which is bad really regards Tony

Performance line bearings can repair ebike motors in the U.K. My Yamaha motor is going in for a rebuild in a week.

ive got exactly the same bike and problems, I've had fitted a new dash and control pad still hasn't changed.

David Cotton they changed the motor, and I rode it as before soaking wet Lancashire and the same things started again, not switching off, so I stripped it and siliconed the wires where they enter the motor and caked all other electrical connections with vasaline, been fine ever since

Thanks very much for that haibike and yamaha say they never had this problem and now want the bike back because they are assuming it's been modified which it hasn't been having this problem for a month now have had a new Ltd display and touch button control under warranty the bike will assist fine for the first few miles then dash just all go's to pot I'll keep you posted thanks for your help 😂

David Cotton I bought mine on line from a German company, they were fantastic, they shipped me a display and a complete wiring loom with switching unit to isolate the fault, proved it was the motor, so I sent the bike back they paid, haibike replaced the motor

Hello again how old was the bike and wot milage had it done wene this fault first appeared! mine was 1 year with 700 miles haibike UK said the warranty is void because it's been power washed which I can honestly say thats not true!

David Cotton mine was 6 months old with less than 300 mile on it, I I'd counter claim that you haven't powerwashed it.
