I agree, but economics come into play, they sold out almost every date in their 2022 tour with venue as large as MADISON SQUARE GARDEN but to sell out ~70,000-80,000 is harder. Maybe if they get Taylor to open for them... remember that Lizo and Maggie Rogers open for Haim in the past.
I love HAIM and wish them best buuuuut I would never go for stadium concert. Acoustics usually suck, you barely see performers unless you get vip tickets from somewhere. I've seen HAIM live few years back on relatively small tent scene in late evening. I'll never forget deep bass sounds I felt with whole body and light flashes when they opened with Falling. Magic.
Haim is so fun to watch . I was bummed when I wasn't able to catch them in Downtown LA, but at least I caught them last year and hopefully catch them next year.
Glad you liked, I video'd another performance in 2022 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZzhuBKQ6Kvk.html.... I saw them three times in 2022 when they visit the Bay Area but the performance at Fox was most intimate and best... I'm sure would similar to the recent Bellwether dates. I hoping to see them at Ohana Fest on 9/29.
No, they are from the San Fernando valley. If you google them they appeared on SNL, David Letterman, etc, open for Taylor in the past, had their own sell out tour last year. Their big break came in England first.
Their Women in Music Part 3 album was nominated for Best Album by the Grammies in 2021. Search VIMEO for their full live performance on the 2021 Grammy Awards show doing “The Steps@
@@Concert_Tourist looks like it's gone for US now too :( Any chance of repost or anywhere else? Your's is one of the best since it included the incredibly timed Great America fireworks during the peak of Enchanted.
Man, there are some serious music snob trolls in the comments. It bears saying that every single musician out there has people insisting that they are objectively awful, and that includes TS...and every musician that any “they suck” commenter ever liked. Repeat after me: music is SUBJECTIVE, guys. It’s fine to not like something, but that’s you, not objective truth. Learn to express yourself in those terms. FWIW, I quite like Haim, but I’m not sure I think they are coming across as well as they might in a venue this massive; lots of great music doesn’t. Then again I should remember I’m watching it on a teeny weeny ancient iPhone, definitely not the ideal audio system. I do agree the the giant HAIM on the screen doesn’t wow me, but if I had a nickel for every show that had visual effects that didn’t grab me, I could buy a ticket on TicketMaster.
I was lucky enough to see Haim three times last year... Greek Berkley, Hollywood Bowl, and Fox Oakland... the smaller venue Fox was the best ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZzhuBKQ6Kvk.html. I didn't even video the other locations.
They are opening acts for a reason, you don’t have to arrive in time to see them, you can still arrive shortly before Taylor is set to go on stage and skip the openers entirely. The alternative would’ve been a playlist of songs prior to the show, at least with opening acts you get more live music.
That opening guitar thing she's got going on there is a joke. I thought it was a Stevie Nicks song. Hey she know how to play one chord. Congratulations.
You nailed it. They play very basic chords and guitar riffs. Maybe they try to play but aren't capable. Seen then many times their cover of Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac is downright awful. Just don't get their popularity. I was hoping for a decent female group not this same sounding song after song. Very boring really.
@@katherinegonzalez6975 It like the other guy said. One can't criticize her unless there called a "hater". What has the world come to no free speech allowed anymore.
@@katherinegonzalez6975 Uhhh...I've been playing guitar for 50 years. I can play much better than them. Sorry. I'm not a hater. Their music is simple to play.
@@greyhamlogan2255 Why do they keep that HAIM logo flying the whole set their up there. Very rarely you see a band advertise their name to this degree. Ther re just not that good...I wish they were better Id dearly like a great all girl band to come along. These girls play basic lines and have very basic songs ..guess they have some appeal to a small audience. So let them be I guess...and just hope for a better future group.
@@evankeal Well just find them very ordinary. But music is very individual. So what one likes another may not. Not worth arguing over. Have a good day.
@jimmybones4708 no worries/argument here, I can understand your point well, I thought the same but liked the chird changes while I flipped through a few 10 second chunks to hear each song, but I have no problem with ordinary, I play all the instruments and I can say that there is some clever songwriting with this band however vanilla it might seem.
