Two police officers have been attacked with a sword near a Tube station in north-east London.
Social media footage shows a man in a yellow sweatshirt brandishing a large blade being approached by the police.
A witness reported seeing a man “running around with a samurai sword” who “stabbed four people after crashing his van into a house” in Hainault.

Only specially trained officers carry tasers in the UK. Often the armed police are called if taser is needed. All these guys probably have to defend themselves is their baton until back up arrives. Despite this they still tried to control the situation.

@@philipk9783 I was a police officer for 30 years, their are very few armed response units in London and it takes time to drive, Hainault is a big division and London traffic is busy at this time, it takes time to get there. They are not in one central point but neither are they at every station, so the local officers do not have access to firearms,

A 5 minute walk from my house. This wouldn't have happened if the local council hadn't have taken away the local police hub. I lived here for 40 years. Since the labour council took over, the town has gone from a quiet, Friendly, clean neighbourhood, to a dirty, gang run, sht hole. Stabbings, muggings, hit and runs, robberies, car thefts, house invasions. Seems like something happens every week. But Wes Streeting (the local council leader) only seems to care about replacing children's parks with asylum seeker container houses. It's criminal.
