This is the exact reason why I am leaving my current hairstylist because she tends to use the same comb on everybody one after the other. and I never see her sanitizing anything she may rinse it out at the sink...just nasty . And she have been doing hair a long time, she knows better. What about rollers are they to be cleaned too? Just curious. She just take the rollers out the customers head who just dred and plop them right on the next head.. This was an eye-opener for me , Thank you for sharing I really appreciate this.

wow, truthfully no one item is to be used on another client after using it on the previous client without being cleaned properly. I hope you find someone who is a lot cleaner but some stylists just don't know because they may be self taught or just choose to do things the way that they've always done them.

One person asked about sanitizing the rollers. my hairdresser use the same rollers on everyone I never saw it as anything wrong I have always been thinking that because each head of hair is clean then the rollers can be used on another person . but u answered her and said each person should use a different set of rollers and they should be sanitized each time. Wow

Question: you kinda quickly rinsed them after taking it out of the barbacide - is there a need to really vigorously rinse? Does the chemical just dry away i was wondering if theres any risk of it getting in your hair/touching your scalp etc

Great question! As long as you feel comfortable in the way you are rinsing the items off, knowing there's nothing left on it you'll be fine. Mind you, the barbacide HAS to be diluted with water in the first place so its not as potent as it can be. You're supposed to rinse them off and dry them right away to keep them from rusting so there's no way to transfer the barbacide over.

Wondering if with the towels,do you get a new set out after drying the scrubbed w/soap implements? Or ok to use same towels for laying out tools from Barbicide soak? Thx!

If your towels are wet then you can switch them out, however the only implements that touch the towels are the clean ones so there's no cross-contamination and this is how you will be taught. You always rinse the implements off after soaking so no barbacide can soak onto anything because it'll be rinsed away.

What happens if you don’t rinse your implements with water after them being submerged in barbicide for 10 mins? Will it ruin your tools?

atleast 10 of each so that you can interchange them when needed, you don't want them to all be dirty before your work day is finished.

Hey if you go in a new salon nd you never been to it.. Is it rude to ask can you see some the hairstylist work .. So you can kno if you feel confident lettin the person do your hair?

no its not rude and every stylist should have a portfolio of some kind, otherwise before going to them you should study their most uploaded social accounts to see what work they post before booking.
