1992-1995 Hakeem Olajuwon is the best basketball player I’ve ever seen. Not even Jordan, Bird, or LeBron in their primes compare to the absolute machine Hakeem was.
Funny you mention those names as MJ LeBron Hakeem Bird the 4 best players I’ve ever seen and I’ve gone to 1500+ NBA games since mid 80s (center court row 10 pacers season tickets since 87-88 and went to 10-15 games per yr since 85-86…moms cousin in Chicago where she’s from so been to 3-4 games there per year too)! I’ve been going to 40-60 games center court row 10 since 87-88 and 10-15 the 2 years before that and MJ LeBron Hakeem Bird are the 4 best players I’ve ever seen! 85-95 playoffs Hakeem 28, 12, 3, 2spg, 4 bpg! 94 95 b2b years Hakeem had #1 most made field goals ever and #5! In-between # & #5 is MJ 93 LeBron 2018 Shaq 2000! Switch Hakeem’s team/coaches/FO/teammates that Russell Wilt Kareem Shaq Duncan had he’d have 5-12 titles and if they had his exact situation they’d all have 0-2 titles max imo! Hakeem 84-85 to 94-95 was 11-5 head to head vs MJ too! 95 Rockets would of def beaten Bulls in Finals (granted they couldn’t get there). MJ himself said “Thank God that beast out west isn’t making Finals as we have no answer for him!” Ralph Sampson injury then lack of help for most part Til 95 Clyde in terms of another all star. I can’t believe he didn’t leave with how badly run they were and what ownership did to him when he was hurt. Sounds like he absolutely wanted to. I wouldn’t of blamed him at all given how hard he played/worked! Clearly him and owner had better relationship, but still!
@@allanhouston6759 Damn dog i guest Hakeem was playing 1 on 5 he didn't have teammates y'all let the media tell y'all how to judge players im talking about a player not team wins Shaq, Ewing, Kareem, David couldn't do shit with him
@@allanhouston6759 You pull out one gm to try and discount Olajuwon. Comical. I guess you missed the about part in the video when they talked about who was the best playoff performer all time, after a research was done huh? Hakeem came out number one.
I agree that in his prime he was better then any player that has ever played the game best center ever yes that’s obvious and he’s definitely a top 5 player or better
I've always LOVED the song "The lion sleeps tonight".... till today. But other than that , that was so well put together. Masterfly structured video! Great upload ^ ^ TY
No. Out of 12 notable centers I reviewed (ignoring Wilt), Hakeem ranks: 6th in avg points generated (scoring + assists) per 36 minutes played 6th in avg. rebounds 1st in avg shots blocked (tied with D. Robinson) 5th highest in avg. turnovers 8th in free throw percentage Also: 5x all defensive first team (tied with Jabbar) 4x all defensive second team (Jabbar was 6x)

Yes he did and he did many times,u must be to young to of watched the games in real time that's the issue, see when people comment and say...oh yeah this guy was the best or this guy was the best but if you never seen them play in real time and watched how they really impacted the game u will never know,it's like alot of these people who comment about Larry bird and say, well Larry had a bunch of HOF around which is true, but I will tell u this without Larry bird that hall of fame team as some of u say would never have won a chip without the great Larry bird that's why I will still say and I don't give a rat's ass about stats keep the stats and shove em,Larry bird is and will always be better then LeBron James and like I said keep the stats because i dont give shit,it's how Larry played that LeBron could never play like Larry, but to me still and always be,the greatest is M.J.....but Larry bird is close
@@allanhouston6759 Shaq is the only player to defeat Jordan in the playoff's as well. So what kind of math are you using here ???? Hakeem put those team's on his back and "one man army that shit" Come on man no love for Hakeem??
Nobody holds more records than Wilt. Nobody has more rings than Bill. Nobody has more points or elegance than Kareem. Nobody has more moves than Hakeem.
Quite a few folks have more points PER GAME than Kareem. He's only #16 on that list (but all of the names ahead of him are also known as great scorers....)

Dude, he not even CLOSE to the Best Center in ALL OF HISTORY!! This dude is a POWER FORWARD compared to #WILT #KAREEM & #SHAQ!!🤨🤨🤨 And LETS BE (ABSOLUTELY) CLEAR, Wilt Chamberlain is not only #1 or #2 ALL TIME BEST PLAYER OVERALL (depending on your preferences) in the ENTIRE HISTORY of the game/#NBA, but there is WITHOUT QUESTION that Wilton Norman Chamberlain is the BONAFIDE #1/BEST/GREATEST CENTER OF ALL TIME. END OF STORY!!!🤨🤨🤨
Out of kareems top 10 scoring season he won one champ. 1971. The first series was against a 41-41 team. The second was against a injured Lakers that didn't have West. Third and Final series was against a 42-40 team. That was in 1971 vs the second worst NBA Finals team in modern history. What's the worst you ask? The 1981 Rockets that made the Finals with a losing record. Oh and kareem lost to that team also in the 1981 playoffs. Infact you have to go way back to 1959 to find worst when the 33-39 Minnesota Lakers lost in the finals to Bill Russell when there was only 8 teams in the entire league.
Just to put that into perspective. Second year Kareem (1971) beat a 48-34 lakers. Lakers didn't have their starting point guard in Jerry West during the Conference Finals. In the NBA Finals kareem beat a 42-40 Baltimore for his first champ during the 3 rd playoff format era. Second year Hakeem beat kareems 62-20 lakers. The lakers had Three All-Stars plus Rockets didn't have their starting point guard during the Conference Finals. In the NBA Finals Hakeem faced Larry birds 67-15 Celtics that had Three All-Stars to 6 games in the NBA Finals during the harder four round sixteen team playoff format era.
I would take Hakeem over kareem Anyday. If Wilt openly admits that he couldn't stop kareem (who is extremely overrated), I doubt he's going to stop Hakeem. Plus Wilt Chamberlain was a liability at the end of close games since he couldn't shoot free throws. The original "Hack-a-Shaq" was made for Wilt Chamberlain. Kinda ironic for a great offensive player to become a liability on the offensive end of the court in close games.
Plus a lot of people don't realize that the best version of Shaq was possibly the Magic and not the Lakers. 1994 and 1995 Shaq was basically Laker Shaq that could run faster and jump higher.
@@elvispresley5921 Bill Russell could argue the point, but I do put Wilt as the BEST player of all time - but Bill as the GREATEST. Keep in mind Basketball is a TEAM sport, and Wilt was very slow to get good at TEAM play.
🤣🤣🤣 do you not see him dominating every center hes literally AD without the 3pt shot but way way more skilled and way way more defensively sound wtf...shaq didn't want them problems u can see the defeat all in his face n body language
I truly don't understand all you basketball pundits who talk about basketball up and down and back and forth you need to get your situations correct Hakeem olajuwon that is not his name his name is akeem and as soon as you pundits get it right I'm blasting you on these comments because it's been years and you still do not pronounce the man's name right it's not Hakeem it is Akeem do your research
Jabbar and Parish and some of the others center's was old but Jabbar could not be stopped by Hakeem got work by an old man Jabbar took on Ralph Sampson and Hakeem and held his own two against one look it up the old man was unstoppable
Naw I'll agree he the best not no top 5 he was undersize in all his battle Shaq David Kareem Ewing and others were all 7footers he was 6ft10 and destroyed them on both ends defensive and offensive and yeah 6ft10 like Charles 6ft4 MJ The Goat also 6ft4 doing clowns
anyione with a scintilla of intelligence that really knows anything about pro basketball knows that Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and William Felton Russell are the best centers to play the game and Hakeem would be no 4 respectively....everyone has their opinion and Hakeem was definitely great but better than Kareem and Wilt -----what a joke!!!!Wilts name to this day dominates the NBA record books and half of his stats were not even recorded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We like who we like aka partiality for whatever reason.....and those clips of the Bulls vs Rockets showing Jordan getting shots blocked by Hakeem were deceptive because Jordan gave the Rockets fits the same way he did everyone else....everyone in the NBA gets shots blocked and there are myriad highlights of Jordan blocking Hakeem's shots too.......Hakeem was a great one just not the greatest ever....there is no such thing even where Jordan is concerned because in most cases great players play during different epochs of time and usually never against each other in their prime!!!!!!! Furthermore, for Shaq the supercoon to denounce other Laker Centers (Wilt, and Kareem) like that is reprehensible!!!!!!
Olajuwon is head and shoulders over Wilt, it's not even close. Wilt is a career loser who was never a good shooter, never a great ball handler, never a great steals leader like Olajuwon. Wilt didn't have anybody even half as good in his era and still only won 2 rings in the weakest era of all time
While Hakeem is an all time great center (I rank him in the Top 5), EVERYONE should know that the greatest was Bill Chamberlain. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_O6q53zmCMY.html
