If Lzzy would have been around in the 70s and 80s she would have been beyond a star. She is so fucking talented; yet she gets no love from the industry. Love me some Lzzy.
I agree 100% with that comment!!!! I was so fortunate to grow up as a teen in the late 70's and early 80's! When ROCK WAS KING!!! R&B was awesome and when Michael Jackson was the king of pop! All the rock bands back in the day wrote the lyrics, the music and played their own instruments! What a novel concept! Today's music the so called artists are a joke. They cant write play or sing without enhancements!!! SO FUCKING GLAD to have grown up during that era! She has some Ann Wilson in her. She belts out her voice like Ann STILL Does!
People. She's not trying to replace Anne Wilson for god's sake. Nobody can. She obviously loves the song and just wants to honor it by covering it. And does a awesome job. She has more of a rocker style voice and it sounds great.
I agree, she's not trying to be another Ann Wilson but she's showing respect by covering this song and did a awesome job. I watched an interview on RU-vid with Ann Wilson and Ann spoke about this song. She said the song was not particularly one of favorites but it is a great song. She also said that she rerecorded the song to try to make it sound "Less sleazy" because the way the song ( and the first video) it sounded like this girl was being a little sleazy and just driving in the rain to find someone to "sleep with " and that was not the intention when the song was written. Halestorm is one of my favorite bands of the "New Generation" because they actually sing and play instruments and do not use effects for the singing ... as so many use autotune... but she does not. Halestorm is keeping the "Live Music" alive or doing their part to keep it alive! 👍👍❤😎
I can agree. THere's a couple stations that gives us the rock classics where I live, but it's repetitive scheduling loops it feels like. I thought I heard a radio station say that more Mid north in the states, there more open to new bands playing hoping to find undiscovered bands that may get better with more gigging. Who knows. Sadly in these times it's hard to get bands together now. The cities I commute to are staying careful to keep people at high health.
There's a reason Lzzy is considered 1 of the top female vocalists out there. The girl has a voice that makes u pay attention. Every time i hear her im nearly in a trance. Love her, her voice and a great band behind her
I cannot believe anyone with ANY taste in music could give this a thumbs down! My God she sings with her HEART and not like most others these days that sing empty..HOOKED on HALESTORM! Have yet to unlike any song.
Hmm, I would have agreed with you fully amigo until just recently, but like many already have here, even though I'm not into her music in the slightest, I have to respectfully say your incorrect bro, & I can even provide the proof that changed my mind (any millions of others who didn't like her). Look up 'Lady Gaga Sound of Music performance.' She literally blew the mind of one of the most respected singers in music history, Julia Andrews, the songs is lame, but look at Gaga's RANGE & delivery. like I said, I'm not into her music, but man do I have all the respect in the world for that woman's talent and ability. She's the real deal, & literally earned my respect!
in my opinion Ann Wilson has and always will sing this song the best. acoustic or full electric. but Lizzy has an amazing voice and does this song justice in many ways, she didnt try to out do the origional voice, she put her own into it and that in my opinion is what it means to be a true artist. She really should be so much mor famous than she is.

Never said she did if you actually read the comment I said there is a rasp in her voice that reminds me of benetar and that's my view if you don't agree tough shit!!!!
I saw Halestorm in concert in Charlotte Metro amphitheater last month (Sep 22) and it was amazing! Unfortunately she did not sing this cover song but it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. She has the most incredible voice!
I was at the same show! First time I had ever seen them live, and the fact that it was a rain show just made it so much better. Halestorm is easily my favorite band by far!
No matter how many times I hear Lzzy sing a song over and over, it always gives me goose bumps every single time without fail. The only artist I've ever had do that even if I've heard the song a hundred times. Each time always hits the right spots. Freak for Life! Raise your Horns!
2019 still loving this video. I am so amazed at how she puts the feeling that sells this song. She is truly one of the bests rockers out there. LOVE YOU HALESTORM. Keep these coming.
At this point for me, enough with the "Lzzy's gonna be the next rock goddess/heir to the throne". She's already fucking there and she owns that throne now.
Sometimes this video brings tears to my eyes. She sings with so much passion. She is such a talented and beautiful women. I am so in love with her. The best female rock star of all time.
I live a very sheltered childhood especially when it came to music. It's only been in the past few years that I have branched out and found artists like Halestorm. I heard this song from Spotify and had no idea it was a cover until I looked it up to watch her sing it. I don't really know why I feel this song so much?! I'm not really into one night stands, but this song stirs something Deep in my soul. . . Strange
Melissa Berry Yeah, this EP album is actually a good representation of her talent, all of the covers are great. Hell is For Children and Golden Girl are eerie throwbacks to Pat and Stevie respectively. Even the AC/DC is cool! I highly recommend it
Melissa Berry I assume you mean Into The Wild Life ... unless I missed something ... Yeah, they came together as a band here a bit more, but quite frankly, it is and always has been Lzzy. Crush? Crushed, Stomped and Flattened - since the first time I saw her ... Pat Benatar/Stevie Nicks love child ... me ... melted....
Never forget 2yrs ago, hearing this for the first time. Almost bought me to tears. To feel emotions like that simply beautiful. What a voice. Thanks for the video. Miss Hale, you are something special.
Viktor Johansson I have a hard time admitting covers are better than originals, but she gave it more than justice. She def. made this cover, strong all the way through
I saw them live when she started singing I began to cry. I feel like she belongs on a pedestal up high with Stevie Nick's. She feels everything through her music.
Been an Hailstorm fan for a while now, never knew they did this cover.. Hard to replace the voice of Ann Wilson. But Mad props on doing an Amazing Job..
A lot of drummers would overdo it, Arejay just sits in the groove and knows he'll get his time to fill and shine and then he's right back in that groove. He's a metal version of The News' Bill Gibson.
Ralph Joseph Taylor is everything but metal. At the same for Lzzy. They are not metal, TPR is hard rock with blues/grunge influences and Halestorm is hard rock with punk rock/country and in some songs, metal influences lol
Metal, hard rock, grunge, there is just so much overlap in the styles. At the Grammys, they had Ghost up against Sevendust for the Best Metal Award. I wouldn't consider Ghost - Metal. How heavy does it have to get to be considered Metal?
Every time it rains and "hails" I go outside without my umbrella or raincoat and stand on the side of the road - people look at me like I'm crazy - I tell em, I'm not crazy, just Lzzy!!
When I was in 5th grade my mother drove me to school and this song ( the original one by heart ) came on the radio and she wouldn't let me out of the car :) She rolled up the windows and turned it up really loud and sang along ... She has been gone for a few years now , I miss her amazing spirit and the way she loved life ...
Oh God 🙏 how beautiful she is.... she's the most beautiful 💕 angel which lived in our world.Every parts of her body and voices was beautifully designed and PERFECT!! Lizzy I loved you, always and forever.❤❤
I don't usually like Heart covers. Annie has been my secret crush since Dreamboat Annie. I guess I'm old enough to learn. Great job Lzzy. Little bit Ann, little Pat Benatar with a touch of Rindy Ross. Georgeous!
Fantastic. Saw them open for Daughtry and 3 Doors Down and as good as both of them were, Halestorm blew them out of the water. One of the few bands my 21 year old daughter have in common. Lzzy rocks.
Amazing! She is so talented :) My husband and I dedicated "Dear Daughter" to our daughter who is a year and a half old. Much love to Lzzy and the band for their amazing work in the industry.
She put so much blues feeling into this song, I just loved it!! Her mouth reminds me of Tom Kiefer, and I say that with the love of rock! Woman power, that rocked!
OMG...I love this song anyway. I sing Heart's version at the top of my lungs all the time, but Halestorm kicks serious butt and I LOVE their version so much!
Wow… nice! This isn’t studio produced like you would find on an album, this is live (at the time) and she sounds spectacular! That’s awesome, a lot of artists sound like crap live. Not that they’re bad singers but singing for a huge crowd every night of the week, travel between shows, rehearsals… they take a toll. You don’t get much time to rest your voice and take care of it.
OMG that gave me shivers down my spine! that's a fantastic version, better than the original, and it sounds even more amazing acoustic. BTW, If you just wanna listen to the song, it starts at 0:40 and ends at 6:14
Love this performance of this song. What a voice! I felt the passion, very moving. It's the pinnacle of a rock stars performance, quite rarely achieved.
So I’ve never heard of lzzy or halstorm until this song was sent to me by a friend. Holy sweet Jesus I’m mesmerised by her vocals. Like going down the rabbit hole with their music. Unreal. From what I’ve gathered is they are very underrated. 40 years ago she’d have been labelled as one of the greatest voices of rock
