We Europeans also had the Asereje outbreak in 2002. A year later, there was a "Dragostea din tei" Virus here in Central Europe, although that one lasted rather shortly.

Tyler Dobbs I’ve been calling these hacks for 26 yrs. not once have they fixed my laser disk or vcr. I paid good money for this. 257 dollars and 56 cents. I’ve even called my friend tamm tamm who knows these boys but no answer. I’ve even resorted to petty pranks like filling their building with tailpipe fumes and hacking their accounts and buying dildos on them. Nothing comes to fruition just random taco recipes. Absolutely terrible service.

They do it on purpose, the theory is that most people will give up trying to browse and watch whatever stupid crap the algorithm tells them to. It's like taking a buffet and putting it in a hall of mirrors.
I worked on that first one, actually they shot it at the office for the location company. Which is even more lazy and probably cheaper than using Jason Blum’s house lol. For the record it’s next to MacArthur Park in a bad neighborhood but it has a nice skyline view above the crackheads. You’d be shocked to know how many things it has been in. Most locations are used over and over and over to a ridiculous degree and I can’t seem to watch anything shot in Southern California without recognizing that exact spot no matter how brief. After many long shoot days these places are burned into my brain especially as the location was my area of responsibility.

@@juliacassiano4499 The mortality rate doesn't really start becoming much of a worry until around late 60s onward, so outside any potentially very unhealthy habits that could compromise their immune systems they should be fine. Hopefully they don't have to take even the miniscule risk regardless though.

@@Emrod82 I thought it was someone cracking from stress and starting to dance for an unreasonable amount of time, prompting everyone else to watch nervously and eventually join their nervous breakdown until eventually a mass hysteria of dancing broke out.
@@dublinjake, the dancing plague has been attributed to mass hysteria / stress. Constant viral and bacterial epidemics from the 14th to 17th centuries may have played an indirect role in that. Knowing that you or anyone you care about was at constant threat of catching a deadly and little understood illness. I have been anticipating something similar in the wake of COVID. You can't tell me the devious licks trend in public schools isn't a sign of young people cracking under pressure.

That office wasn't higher than downtown, though. I worked somewhere in Bel Air with a completely unobstructed cliffside view of downtown and it wasn't anything like these clips.
Worked many buffets in my time. There's always a large trough of french fries, that get infrequently bothered by children, then tossed out by the bushel every night. They're low-quality, not good, not good FOR you, and stupid children are the only ones interested in it. French fries, Mike.
The sad thing is a Blumhouse anthology TV series sounds like a great idea. Cut down the running time and budgets to make tight Twilight Zone style episodes. Black Mirror's success proved there's a market for anthology serieses. Then they wouldn't be either horrible flops or huge hits.
As they point out though, for these things to make money it's not necessary that they're good or even that anybody actually watch them. Like a buffet, money is being made at the door regardless if any of the content is consumed
In Nasty Piece of Work that "corporate headquarters" is actually the same building I work in. 2404 Wilshire Blvd, aka "The American Cement Building". It's part company offices (tech/design) and industrial residential lofts. It borders Macarthur Park and filming at this building happens **all the time.** The parking garage of this building was used in Kill Bill.

So glad they said this. Hulu is by far the worst, but Amazon Prime isn't much better. I've wondered if it's just because a lot of us we're "trained" by Netflix?
@@eyepatchplease I'd argue prime is worse. Especially with how they have series titles for individual seasons. Maybe it is better on desktop than mobile or television though. Maybe Netflix just set the bar very high, with slick smooth menus and easy to navigate icons and rows.
I was in one of the Into the Darks as an extra; worked for about 6 days on set. Everyone from the extras to the actors to the crew were pissed at the "Ultra Low Budget." Good director, though; he took the time to talk to his extras and got to know our names (SUPER rare).
i think it’s possible to like parts from the show that aren’t really inherent with the rest of the show- i personally think the shame wizard and horny monster were done really well. the other main characters and jokes are just atrocious tho and i would believe mike just groans through most of it like i did

The first movie is a copy of "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?", a well known play from 1962, when it comes to setup and characters. Even with wholes sentences of dialouge.
Can always respect Blumhouse for making that old Friday the 13th formula worked. "We put in 1.5 million into shooting this movie. Oh look it made 22 million." Over all these companies that throw 200+ million into a movie and are just hoping on the 1 in 100 shot that it becomes some megahit that funds their entire studio. That sort of workman quality of just cranking out good enough, know your limits stuff. Yeah I can respect that.
'The Invisible Man' was the last movie that I saw before cinemas were closed in Belgium because of the macarenavirus. Quite ironic: seeing a movie about an invisible threat, then cinemas close because of an invisible threat. Ah! 2020 will be some year! WW3 almost (kinda) happened, forest fires in Australia, storm Ciara in Europe, Macarenavirus ... And it's only march!
