What does it take to be a Legend? Watch the trailer for the full film now! Tune in to watch the full length film on the League Of Legends RU-vid channel at 8am PST on June 14th.
For all Esports, anime, and Faker fans, there's already a great Chinese anime which is basically about Faker (even though it was released prior to Faker's career). Title: The King's Avatar Highly recommend!!!
People also forget that, Faker is the most loyal player of all, and yes not just in LoL, but literally in the whole Esports, he stayed from the beginning of T1 until now. He stayed in T1 in all it's glory and all it's heartbreak. It's one of the biggest reason I really respect this man.
What makes me really like Faker was that he never had a big ego despite being praised as the best for so long. He still keeps trying to improve and working hard to stay competitive at the highest level.
Wish more people paid attention to this quality specifically. It's what elevates him head and shoulders above players that can play BETTER but can't BE better. Idk when we stopped respecting quiet dignity. Probably when we forgot how to have it ourselves.
basicly every faker interview: (interviewer: do you think you will destroy the opponents or get gapped, give us some spicy) Faker: if i pratice long enough i hope, i will put on a great performance ) This guy is way too pure
The fact that Showmaker was the one to say "He is an idol to all pro players" and being someone who has watched their rivalry for the better part of a decade is just awesome. Mad respect
I don't know man, it's probably just me but I never saw anyone who was a "rival" to him. He was above anyone especially in the early years. These days, it is definitely a team game, the skill gap between players are less than what it was back then but Faker, is absolutely insane. There will never be another.
@@syberdieforlove ye i mean.. Faker played since the start & won 3 world titles in his first 4 years. Back then he was dominating the league scene (even still in 2017). If you dominate the first 5 years, can still be relevant the next 6 years & then make another worlds finals appearance + win another worlds title. Nobody will be able to do what Faker did. Like never
I had lil tears, not a true fan tho but I really think he deserves all the credit because he is a true legend of the game and the e-sports in general :)
I started playing league of legends in 2017, right after Faker lost the 2017 Worlds. Just like him, I waited seven years for him to reclaim his throne. For the longest time, I never got to witness him win a title. I saw all his highlights from past worlds and MSIs, just hoping he could find that magic again. I was defending him in comment sections like the little fan boy I am for years, and after seven long years he displayed himself as the best midlaner in the world at the 2023 Worlds tournament. It was such an amazing moment as a fan. I joined at his lowest point and I got to be along for the ride for his long redemption arc. This was a no-brainer to be the first inductee to the Hall of Legends. Faker is and always will be the final boss of League of Legends. There will never be another, only those who live in his shadow.
@@deadchannel2837I'm not sure if the game will be relevant that much after Faker's retirement. Not to say that the view counts have been decreasing after every season, most of the peak view streams were for T1 matches. Let's just say, it's hard to have any other players to be called GOAT anymore after him.
Me too. I've been following Faker since 2013. Because I was watching SKT T1 K vs RNG by accidentally in youtube. Also a year's where I started to play Lol aswell. And yeah I've been defending them for a years. Exactly same like what you did. Actually I'm not that good in expressing word's like you just wrote. This is totally same like what I just feels for them. Thank you for speaking up on my behalf. 😁
Bro been watching Faker since 2013 and man the journey of watching him both win and lose is such an art form. No one will ever be and come close to Faker. He's a one of one.
I started playing League a little before the start of Faker's pro-career. His first world's was my first time watching worlds. I was instantly in awe. I'm still in awe. I learned Ahri because of Faker. I've strived to be better, to think more tactically because of him. He's someone I'll always have huge amounts of respect for in the league scene. And I have to say, I've never once doubted if he's good enough, if he's still capable. (If the rog is giving him the support he needs... that's another matter.) But I've never once doubted Faker. Never will. I'll continue to support him until his very last game and when they day comes I will very likely cry for the first time in decades. And I won't even feel bad about it.
Honestly as far as I've seen in other games I feel like no single player of any video game has reached the level of Faker, being such a long standing member of one of the biggest esports in the world, but also having so many iconic and incredible moments in his career. Theres a reason he shows up as the most famous esports player if you search it in google, he does not need to earn the most, he is him.
"Theres a reason he shows up as the most famous esports player if you search it in google" well, thats just google changing search results depending on what you do. i use the exact same prompt and i get Overwatch pros, csgo pros etc first picture of faker is after 9 pics
@@120rikeshlawoju8 No one in Southeast Asia, East Asia, South America care about Magnus (chess) or simple (counterstrike), well maybe Brazil for simple. No one outside of Korea really cares about Flash (starcraft). Faker got huge fans globally (South America, North America, Europe, Asia as a whole).
For all Esports, anime, and Faker fans, there's already a great Chinese anime which is basically about Faker (even though it was released prior to Faker's career). Title: The King's Avatar Highly recommend!!!
I couldn't think of another person to nominate for this honestly.....He's the face of league, I know people who don't even play league and still know his name. What a legend
11 years being a fan of this guy... through thick and thin. I feel like I could stop playing League of Legends, but I could never stop being a Faker fan. I can't wait to see the full film...
at different times, everyone brought new tactics to the game, faker just didn’t stop playing, looks like a mental disorder, he’s been around since 2016 plays poorly on the professional stage, he is already disabled (painful wrist), the person has only one interest, I would not be surprised if at his age he is still a virgin
The most iconic and greatest gaming legend in history. No gamer deserves to be honored more. Any trailer involving Faker never fails to give me chills.
One of the quotes associated with Faker that I absolutely love was from a former teammate of his. He talked about how he used to consider Faker ahead of his time at LoL but that he thought everyone else had caught up with him and no longer was necessarily the BEST lol player. Then he joined Faker's team and when he got to experience Faker's shotcalling and decision making first hand, he was convinced again that no, Faker was still operating at a different level than everyone else.
Faker is THE greatest league player and one of the most if not the most iconic video game player of all time. Absolutely deserved honor. All the love for Faker from the USA.
yea I know its bias because we play league, and we know of just how unachievably great Faker is, but I really dont think its a stretch to say Faker is the most iconic and possibly the greatest eSports player of all time. But again thats my bias, if there's any other players from other eSports that have a case rivaling Faker, I'd love to hear about them.
Being top4 in every single international tournament he has attended. The number of pro players that came and went from there highest of highs and lowest and lows but at the end it is Faker to defy everyone and prove why he is a living legend. Hopefully T1 performs well in summer and worlds too
Actually "we" are hoping too much. Third place in MSI is good enough for most of the teams. They are really performing well. Faker is not as flashy as he was in Worlds but if he was There, he can go back to up There.
@@oaksoesancarrot Yeah. One worse performance at MSI and people count him out completely forgetting through how many slumps Faker has gotten throughout his career and he still managed to destroy everyone last year. One MSI doesn't mean that Faker cannot raise up when it's needed, like at worlds.
Not to mention, he still isn't fully recovered from his wrist injury and they really became handicapped being the victim of DDOS attacks and being unable practice for weeks. Just people have limited faith on players due to ever shifting dynamic of the game and its very own peak level of toxicity
Faker may have doubted himself for those 7 years.. but I always believed.. we always believed. And the pay off one was of the most unbelievably emotional and satisfying ends to that saga of hope. Faker, Legends Never Die :')
I first played League back in 2013, and I remember that I also watched the Worlds that year but I didn’t root for SKT since I didn’t know anything about any teams back then. But then I started to see tons and tons of highlights about Faker and I immediately thought that he was a monster. Now it’s 2024 and he is still playing, he won everything and he sure deserves to be the first one in the Hall of Legends.
Even back then when I wasn’t closely following the League pro scene, I knew who Faker was. He was and still is that legendary. There really can be no one else.
If you cared about any game enough to watch the pro scene, you probably heard of Faker. Dude’s name is known worldwide. GOAT of LoL and Esports in general.
@@mod7065 I have played lol since 2012 but I never watched or cared about proplay I watched and started caring about pro scene all the way until 2017 but even I knew who "that faker guy" was, I still don't care much about proplay I kid you not, I only watch occasionally some games only if there is faker lol.
Got goosebumps. Man faker is truly an idol, i look up to. Not only through his triumph, but also through his modesty and struggles. A rolemodel for many, and not just as a gamer, but also as a human.

Been a fan of Faker ever since his debut and was so happy when I found out we shared the same birthday (1996/5/7)! Please continue to do great things and let me live vicariously through you.
Well deserved. The GOAT. If there is Hall of Legends, first name to enter has to be Faker. No one else came close to his greatness in this game. None. He's already an icon for this game. I'm also interested in next inductee though. I'd vote InSec. His name is a move in the game for a reason. The one who invented the most iconic move in League.

The fact that in every opening of Riot Games his animated ryze style face is the first you see already shows how valuable he has become to Riot. Let's admit it, Riot is always low-key hoping Faker and T1 makes it to MSI and Worlds because of his bankability and that speaks volume. Faker being the first into HoL is just common sense.
It's a great story. Ruler ended the SKT dynasty and when he wanted to start a dynasty of his own, aka the Golden Road last year, Faker was the one who spearheaded their downfall. Truly a historical moment.
I was there when he was first introduced and i can only say that Faker is the ideal first player to join. He caved himself into LoL and will always be there. Absolute legend!

Faker has not let any of his success go to his head, and this has set the tone for all of LOL esports. Other pros respect and admire him, and they see that he is not a showboat or egotistical, so they act the same. Imagine if he were gloating about his trophies or spending his millions on material items, posting it on social media and such? Maybe other pros would think this is okay. But because he is humble and hardworking, they do the same. I'm not trying to give him too much credit; in fact, I think it cannot be overstated how much of a positive impact he has had and continues to have.
The part that makes Faker a legend in ALL of E-Sports isn't JUST that he stays consistently at the top, or that he's outlived other great players - it's that whenever people doubt him and his team, he SOMEHOW finds a way to save a game or clutch a series, that PROVES and REMINDS everyone doubting him why he deserves to be celebrated. THAT is what makes a great player, regardless of whether we're talking E-Sports or real life sports players, that's what separates GOOD from LEGEND.

The line; "Faker rebuilds his throne with the skulls of his enemies", perfectly describes his whole career. When i first joined/watched lol esports, the team that inspired me to play was SSW when they won in 2014. They were the definition of strength for league of legends.... Then it was me becoming a fan for SKT/T1 after that year all the way till now as the LCK team i always hoped to win even when i was Canadian. They were and still are the team to beat... Im the type of person to have multiple teams to vote for winning in every league since i like to have backups in case my main choice gets knocked out early to keep invested in the competition, but for LCK it was always SKT/T1.
League of Legends and Riot Games in general is so lucky to have an individual that is Faker to be the biggest icon. Nobody will ever be able to even come anywhere close to his endless legacy and exceptional personality. This human is a blessing and deserves all the praise, forever so.
Faker might just be the best ambassador you could ask for - Performs at the top level, loyal, humble, thoughtful, and has 'arc's - from the unkillable demon king, to the battlefield general. He's the face of the sport, and all roads have led to and through him if you wished to get to your ultimate destination.
Above and beyond his skill, his leadership, his trophies, the qualities you mentioned are what make Faker so remarkable to me. I don't know if there is any other sport out there that has a GOAT with the qualities Faker has, and I feel extremely fortunate that we have such a GOAT.
This man alone got me heavily into League of Legends. The embodiment of a perfect mid laner for well over a decade, and has carried league since the early 2010's. I appreciate what you've brought to Esports Faker.
Faker stuck to T1 in a slump even when Glory dried up for seven long years. Any player would've went to another team, but he didn't. He stared down the potential death of his career's legacy and faced it. And got rewarded for his loyalty. He was there when they won and he was there in their rut.
I have been following Faker and SKT since his first appearance in the international stage in 2013, what a journey! This honor is for the best player in League of Legends history, he is one of a kind! Congratulations! 🎉
Faker is the benchmark. If you want to be the best, you have to be at least this good. Even his "off years" means 2nd place most of the time. T1 got 3rd place at this MSI and people act like he's washed. That's how insane he is, that he gets flamed just for not being #1.
He's never giving up attitude in face of countless defeat, health problems ,critism the amount of hardwork, dedication, time, he put on to this game for over 10 years and more and still playing at the top makes him the the undisputed GOAT OF LEAUGE OF LEGEND truly inspiring story to be told can't wait for the movie after this trailer.
Faker is the main reason why i have been watching all Worlds, while i never played LoL before. And I love Riot Games how they make him a real icon in their MVs and videos ❤
I found a korean guy streaming one afternoon. I don't recall how I ended up on that stream in the first place. Or maybe it was on youtube ? Didn't know the game, didn't know the langage ! But he was calm and even I could understand he was good. Started watching. Learnt about what LoL was. Looked up the game... That was in 2014. I discovered League thanks to Faker !
