This should be part of character development. Where you learn skills, class quest, resets talents starting at level ~10. To new players this would be amazing. Welcome to the order!
This really hits different after Xal'atath destroyed Dalaran, I never played mage but passed on this beauty piece after watching Dalaran destruction and khadgar's death..it really hits hard..Dalaran was always a magnificent city..
as soon as i heard it,this hall of guardian, knew that i will wield most awesome mage i ever had in any game, and that was true..will miss hall of guardian. farewell Aluneth, coudn't ask for better companion.
Thank you for this music. I was played in Legion for a mage and always sit in hall of the guardian, just to listen my favourite parts of this music. Even now, when I got panic attacks, this music always helps me just take control back and remember that only power is in knowledge. I can stand against all fears and doubts. Thank you once again.
It's weird going to old zones that used to be filled with people. But now that i go back i just see ghosts and friends that i had fun with. Part of me died when i realised i likely will not experience that again. I still usually go to my warrior order hall for the reputation missions at least so it's still useful!
I like to play this on speakers while studying, makes me feel like in some magical library, but last time I did that, my dad way passing by and commented that he really liked the music, it moved him because around that time and that exact day, his dad, my grandfather, died before I was even born. Told me it sounded like heaven's gates opening before him. I'm not "like whoring", I just found it interesting and touching how a great piece of music can talk to your soul and awaken your thoughts in different ways. I didn't bother telling him the music is actually from my favorite game, or anything.
I listen to this music before every stressful deadline at work, to calm myself down. Never thought of it like either you nor your father but you both opened my eyes! It's like the music in the magical library just at the foot of heavens gate... where your can study all the knowledge you missed in the world. You can take your time now, rest... You did good! You made it! And now, you can go your own way, but meanwhile why not just "stay awhile and listen"? I'm not a religious guy, but this is what I like to believe heaven is like! Wish you and your family all the happiness in the world! Stay safe!
most of us were 19 when we first played this game, we fell in love, and now most of us are 34, we want to go back, this game keeps calling, but we can't, because time is our real enemy now. so sad...
Beautiful music indeed. It invites to study old magical scrolls that will open only to those that are worthy. I always found it very interesting that people stay in awe when playing games, when they cruise magical realms and pursue character improvement during hours, days and nights, yet they do not even try to do the same in the real world. Why, I ask myself, oh why are we so scared to search for such Lodges, to search for hidden Orders, to search for the Knowledge that can open new realms to us and let us see the reality in different ways? Why only play if we can experience it? Yes, it requires a lot of sacrifice, years of study and dedication, but, if you ask me, it is well worth it. Don't need to be scared, go out and seek your own way. Use this life to it's maximum!
I find this video so helpful when studying. When applying for my new job last year I had this on while writing my application, and while preparing for my interview. It helped me concentrate my mind with its studious sounds, and lets you time yourself in 1 hour blocks. Pleased to say I got the job! Now, one year later, I am preparing for another interview for promotion, and I return to my trusted Hall of the Guardian sanctuary. It probably helps that I work in a University library; the music really fits! So my interview is next week, and I have half an hour to put across everything I've learned in the last six months. Fingers crossed. Writing this is half procrastination, but also half a massive thank you to Everness :) Cheers!
Still miss the Class Order Halls. They gave each class a real identity and a home. That Blizz has abandoned them completely feels like crime... Still remember seeing all the different mages here, showing off their transmogs or just chilling while waiting for a dungeon or raid. Great times...
Loved this expansion, it was the first time since LK that i engaged in a Wow expansion so much, the first thing i did when i came back in the end of BFA to experiment it, was to teleport back to the Hall of the Guardian, this atmosphere is absolutely unforgettable, in a way feel like a proud mage guardian of the Alliance and Azeroth together with all the other mages that where roaming these halls. These are the music tracks i love the most in the game to this day.
A lot of WoW songs have ths nostalgic feeling, most of Azeroth has this faded glory kind of feel. Most Kingdoms were destroyed by either the Sundering or the Scourge. This music makes me think of Dalaran at it's peak when it trained and employed Wizards from all the human kingdoms and Quel'Thalas. We need an expansion like WoD set in Azeroth's past when Stormwind was in ruins becuase of the orcs and Lordaeron, Dalaran and Quel'thalas were at their peak.
I love this music so much. I just played through most of Legion in the last couple months. The music made me feel a bit of regret that I wasn't playing back when this was new. I was shocked to learn today that the Order Hall wasn't my private enclave like my garrison. I've never seen a single other player in it. That's rather sad. But then, I rarely see a single player in the entire expansion now.
Just coming back and watching/listening to this stuff again 3 years later makes me miss Legion so much. Best expansion they ever did. Lets hope that Shadowlands makes me feel this way again.
Haven't played WoW since Cataclysm and how the in-game music continues to keep bringing me back and make me feel something amazes me! Keep up the fantastic work Everness
So, When Legion hit, I remember i wanted to try something diffrent. So, instead of the usual Warrior or DK I would roll, I made an Male Orc Outlaw rogue. Had an absolute blast! Then I wanted to try an other thing; an spellcaster. So I wanted to try an Arcane / Frost mage. Made an Male Pandaren Mage. I absolutely sucked at it, lol. But everytime I returned to this magical place, It made it my innards an little less hurt :') Just sitting there, in my Zen sitting emote.., in my winter themed frost mage cloths.., it just matched so well. I got really fond of that char in short order.
One of my favorite class halls after the Wandering Isle. I miss the orbiting orbs over the heads of players in fire. I still visit often, mostly to keep missions going.
Away from prejudices created by fear of unknown. Away from censure of short-sighted righteous ones. Places like this... Safe harbors for mages. A tiny realms of knowledge and inner power
How many years untill wow classic will be at legion ? I've obviously done most of my legion time in the valhala hall with Odyn and the valkyries, likewise all the other braves ; and I've done priest, druid, chaman and rogue, but the mage experience was still special to me. You feel like you're part of such a venerable and powerfull cast of wise studying guardians. Doing the hall campain and taking the weapons was sure extraordinary. Made that expansion in itself special besides everything else that made without a doubt the peak of wow. Kind of times that you never really get out of your mind and that you still living in, many years after, like it is still present in a way.
I've been looking for this since last year, found another version that didnt have such clear sound but omg THIS thank you!!! I've been looking for so long, seriously of my favorite soundtracks.
This makes me miss Legion so much. It had such a good vibe. I really hope with all the things they're doing with DF that they'll try and reincorporate the class halls somehow.
I have use so many of your ambience for background music in my D&D games (I am the gamemaster), even though I never played WoW myself, but this track especially I keep returning to when I need to do work. It is so soothing.
oohh... there it is... good timing too... i swear, whenever i'm the mood for a nap, you post one of the best soundtracks in the game, first it was the barrens, then mulgore and now this. honestly, i'd be a sleep-deprived wreck if it weren't for you
This reminds me so much of Jaina in the books. Love her! I'm so sorry that she is written that hateful again now. But maybe she will find her own peace once.

I feel something I can't even explain when I listen to this song.
Legion was some of the best times I had on WoW. And Legion was the end of the story, so it's very impactful. Anything that came out after Legion was unofficial fanfic.
hey I really want to know what type of flute that was in the beginning of the video, and I've searched everywhere for the sheet music to these songs and cant find it anywhere. Would appeciate some help
I know it sounds kinda "not developable", but... We see all those great books in this hall. Let it be a few hundred or even a thousand of them. I am sure each book teaches you something about the world, about new spells or simply anything. It would be so cool if you can read those books and discover secrets that are still unrevealed... like going to a certain place, doing a bunch of things in a determinant order to get a certain item, a new spell, or something for your profession. World of Warcraft is such a big universe but it's so boring and repetitive. Nothing ever really changes. Every expansion the player is limited to a new continent, every expansion you get new raids on the new continent etc. Cataclysm was a nice idea. It affected the old zones. It was dynamic. Not like the newer expansions.. (I know Legion affected Tanaris)
Portal room tracklist is actually _very_ similar to this one. If you look at the names in the doobly doo you'll see a bunch of "Dalaran Hall" tunes. That's the portal room soundtrack, essentially. I will make a Dalaran video at some point and definitely include those tracks in.
This is beautiful! The Hall of the Guardian has some of the best music in WoW imo and never fails to hit me in the feels. Where is the balcony at 15:03? I swear I haven't seen it in the Hall of the Guardian
