I was a soprano last year but this year my teacher switched me to alto, I wanted to try to sing this song on alto (I sang this last year but as a soprano) but I can’t because I have this entire song memorized and I don’t want to mess up so I’ll be singing soprano for this song again😭

good review...i have performed this for many years, first as a chorus student and now every year as an alumni(this is the 9th year in total that i have done it). The soprano definitely does not come as easily as when i was 15, but it's still so much fun to sing!

No - it's not just you. My church choir has sung this before and we're doing it again for this Palm Sunday. That part (1:00 - 1:16) always (and still) stumps me. Basically, practice, practice, practice. Still - a bit frustrating. This does happen to be a pretty good recording to follow though. Good luck!

+Hatsune Mikz By looking at his username I'm pretty sure you should know what he's going to talk about...(Although, I think he was being a troll if you really pay attention to it. You just took it personally. Or maybe he's being serious. I can never tell.) Also, don't put quotation marks around Christianity as if you don't know what it's called; you obviously know what it's called. Don't be a smart ass. "Be open minded on the internet." Okay, so let him express his opinion. I understand your point when you said maybe that person's religious focus isn't Christianity; I get it. But let him express his thoughts just like you expressed yours. Now I'm expressing mine. (I don't care if you don't care about my opinion. Just in case you or someone else may reply with that.) (And yes I'm aware that your comment is 10 months old.)

+LOneSTarX13 hey, as a high school choir kid, we sing this every winter, because it's a tradition, but we also sing it because it gives us older choir kids an opportunity to teach and bond with the coming generations of choir members. we sing deeply traditional choral music to remember the root of our purpose to sing and love music. I think everybody should sing this to learn the roots of choral music.

Yeah, I understand. It would be nice to have a song that only your choir does and I don't mean the arrangement. Because why would you listen to other choir's if they are going to sing the same songs!! Like, come on!!
