reminded me of certain physicists talks (Sean Carroll?): “You only have to point your camera at a blank spot in the night sky, and leave your shutter open for two weeks, and as long as it is attached to the Hubble Space Telescope, you get something like this... (shows “Hubble ultra-deep Field”)

I've never been a fan of the concept/suggestion of human cloning, But : - I think we surely have a definite candidate here......?. Found via the random joy that is the right hand column on here, whilst looking for relaxing late night/early hours + long form content = And, this lady is a complete gem. Ooozing talent, *a voice to die for* (well, not ideally?!), and highly interesting along the way...... I've an engineering/linear brain (loved Tech Drawing at school in the 80's, but was truly awful at freehand Art!) and to watch and hear such a free-thinking spirit at work is a sheer privilege. Cheers Flower - and all the best from England, in your natural utopia that is Kiwi-Land.

The drawing dead 😳 Well this is different, I didn't picture you as a Horror fan Leila I assumed you loved your nice trees and animals mostly 💁 Hey great job tho, love the shading techniques used here they really give the picture a dark scary look to it 😇 Only downside for me is I'm left handed so I find shading in pencil a little difficult because my hand seems to smudge across the paper 🙈

Haha I love working on different subjects 💗 try to switch the order of where you start shading. Try going from the right top corner (instead of the left top ) that will be much easier to work on with the left hand and you can always place a piece of paper under your arm as well :)

I don't know how since I've seen you do it in previous tutorials! hrrg I'm such a slow learner 🙈 Thank you for the advice tho I'm not used to starting from top right postitions maybe it's just a left handed thing but I will give it a go 🙏🙏 Keep up the great work ❤

@@Facelessman254 I think we are all kind of schooled to draw and write from left to right. Because of the direction of the European written language but you don't need to do it with art and you can always rotate your paper too. I try not to do that when I film the process but when I just draw it's constantly going in circles :D

Great video for the season; informative as usual and entertaining as well. I noticed the pencil is apparently not sharpened by way of a traditional pencil sharpener, but has a carved appearance. Does this add some technical advantage to this particular type of sketch or your personal preference in general? Also, when smudging the sketch you use the same spot on the paper towel to do further smudging. Is this to prevent "over smudging" by the use of a clean area of the towel on another part of the drawing?

Thank you :) Yes I sharpen most of my pencils with a knife rather than a pencil sharpener. I find I have more control over the length and thickness of the pencil core if I do that. I do have a video on how I sharpen pencils but I can't remember the name of it, it might be on Patreon. When smudging with a tissue paper you can use the same spot especially if you want to darken the area you are working on. If you want to keep it lighter then I'd suggest to go for a clean spot. One more thing... tissue paper is not designed for it so it may start deteriorating if you use one spot too much so remember to swap if that starts happening. :) Happy drawing

I've always had a fear/love for the ocean, hence my username. I always get the creeps at the thought of being out in the open ocean or that something could be lurking in whatever body of water I'm in. I'd be in just a normal swimming pool but then scare myself by thinking there could be a shark somewhere I can't see.

I can so relate to that !! The unknown or seeing a shadow in the water… Even looking at the sea itself you can feel how powerful it is even on a calm day. It almost seems like a giant beast that is sleeping.

@@jamesbynum6361 No we have been on a very harsh lockdown for 7 weeks now, at the moment can't even get out of the city we live in! Schools are closed, shops are closed, a bit crazy!!
