We're back with a DIY Halloween facade haunted house mausoleum entrance decoration idea. We made a halloween facade graveyard mausoleum haunted house halloween decoration out of styrofoam and wood. Need Halloween mausoleum plans & design ideas when building a creepy false front decoration, Halloween facade, or scenery. In this home haunt related video we share an up close behind the scenes look and the setup process of one of our Halloween yard decorations The graveyard mausoleum halloween facade which goes in our cemetery during Halloween. One of our goals each year is to hide the house that sits behind the haunt and one great way to do this is having large facades. Storage is always tricky so it's a good idea to do your best to design everything to break down in a nice way so that it stacks and fits together the rest of the year. Its constructed of 1" x 3" framing and skinned with 1/4" Luan under lament and then painted grey and aged with a watered down black. The bricks are 3/4" plywood notched with a sanding disk. It is complete with two pillars made from 2" x 2" and plywood, an overhead mantle above the doorway and a carved or sculpted white foam block rests on top. There are also ornamental scrolls, rosettes, and architectural decor placed on the face of the wall. We placed pumpkins hooked to a lighting machine and attached LED lighting to the face to make it pop in the dark. This crypt entrance was inspired by a scene from the movie The Graveyard Shift by Stephen King. This realistic scenic set piece is a nice clean easy to assemble design and we hope it may inspire and help anyone interested in building, constructing, or fabricating facades for October's great holiday. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out the construction video for the facade which shows pictures of the pillars or columns being fabricated.

It is always a good feeling when you build something huge, stand it up, get the braces on it and it looks like you planned it.

Where do you store all this stuff? Do you keep it all, sell some or throw it out? I wouldn't be able to get rid of any of it if it were mine. I would want to keep it all

You sound suspiciously like a scenic carpenter? I have a cheesy version of the Mausoleum entry which finally became walk thru last year. Cheers and Fears, from Foreboding Way [on Facebook] up in Oakland!!

My husband and I are trying to build a mausoleum facade and we were wondering what your dimensions are, the width of the different sections and the width and length of the top portion. Thanks for any help you can give us. I was thinking that the sections to the left and right are around 2 feet each but I don't want to guess at it.
@HollywoodHaunter
@HollywoodHaunter 7 лет назад
I think it was 12 foot wide by 14 foot tall, 4 feet on each side with a 4 foot space for the opening.

Thank you for the response. Great tips in your videos. We are gonna have a Mausoleum and a graveyard with full size coffins that we built. Can't wait for Halloween lol

I would stop by during the day and ask to talk to the Scenic carpenter. Tell them you would like to volunteer your services if they need an extra hand. Tell them what you are skilled in and when you are available to help.

I am definitely going to subscribe to your channel, u are very talented.I'm going to ask you a question, hope you don't mind answering it....how much did it cost.
@HollywoodHaunter

Peter like I mentioned on the column video can't remember how much we spent but I can tell you that most of the projects like this were built with materials free from craigslist or left over from other past projects. If you had to buy everything new from like a Home Depot I bet you would spend close to $250 Always check the the 70% off purple painted wood cart usually at the rear of a HD box store if you can, we save a lot of money that way. Thanks for Subbing us and for your support.

How much did this project cost? Average
@HollywoodHaunter
@HollywoodHaunter 10 лет назад
We have built so many facades and they each contain materials that can range in price. The materials for a false front facade much like the one in this video could be built for $500 to $1000 depending on what you use. The foam and the decorative pieces cost us the most on this project. Much of the wood was reused or on sale. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
