Yep I'm 31, almost 32, and I totally remember the razor blade fear! So much nostalgia with the pillow case, I only brought an actual pail out a couple of times. The rest was pillow case 😊 Ahh the good old days!

Yes....pillow cases!!!! I grew up in the 60’s and those little halloween buckets were ridiculous...we were all about the pillow cases and going home and sorting our candy into piles. Best night of the year. By the way I am a conservative 65 year old great granny and I LOVE your channel!!!! If my granddaughter grows up to be the same type of lady ghoul like you I will be happy. Hey ghoul heyyyyy!!! So guess what ... I FOUND THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN! He was at TJ Maxx and there was only one and he was shoved up under a shelf. I think someone was hiding him but he's mine now MUHUHAHAHAHA! I cant find the cake stand at Target though. Looks like NONE of my stores for a 50mile radius have it so I guess I just missed the boat on that one. I think Im going to start decorating on the first but I still cant find a spooky tree (similar to yours). I'd love to see Vlogtober. May you can add random Halloween finds in if you happen across them while your out but not necessarily "hunting" for them. Thanks for another fab video!

I feel like this has been my experience lately too and I know COVID had a lot to do with the slim pickings this year but oh man, I was looking through footage from HomeGoods I took last year and there was so much stuff!! I hope next year we get to see fully stocked stores again!

Jade The Libra Yep. The supply chain is broken, so the selection is pretty slim this year. Not a whole lot of new stuff coming in. I guess we should just be thankful that the food shortages haven’t hit us yet!😱

I’ve been stuck inside ever since the pandemic hit because I’ve been pregnant this whole time and knew he’s due late October and we were so excited because we love Halloween! And I love watching your long videos while I’m stuck inside! These videos also super useful so I don’t have to go out unless there’s something I really really want, limiting my exposure to possible covid. Did you know the whole "poison halloween candy thing" only happened once. The kids candy was poisoned by their own father.....end of story. Can you believe to this day people X-ray their candy because of on sick puppy?

I remember in the early 90's when I was a kid trick or treating literally watching on the news (state of Florida) that someone was handing out homemade treats with razor blades in them. From than on our parents had to check our bags and every year and any homemade looking treats were always thrown in the trash.

I can’t wait for October and your decorating, spooky snacks and haul videos! I’ve been loving these hour long Halloween decor hunting videos. I think October 1st is the perfect time to stop the Halloween decor hunting videos and start doing more fun Halloween videos like vlogtober. I think that’s when the stores stock will plateau (so we’ve seen everything) and more people will be out shopping. Don’t stop looking for that headless horseman statue though! That's what my parents always said! Pillowcases were the way to go! My brother and I would go trick or treating with the regular bags and buckets we have now, but we'd go home and dump out all the candy we got once our bags got too full(since the people in our neighborhood gave out handfuls of candy to everyone) so we effectively got enough candy to fill up a pillowcase. 😅

Love Halloween decor hunting with you, but also super excited to move on to DIYs and all the other spooky videos! Also, I made enchiladas last night after watching your video and they were amaaazing! Then, today my hubby and kids were like let's go look at Halloween stuff. We'll go to as many stores as you want and won't even complain (which is RARE haha). We get home, I warm up my leftover enchiladas, sit down to watch an old video of yours and boom there's a new one. Best day ever!

I have such good memories of roaming our big neighborhood with friends on Halloween and filling up our bag! We always knew what houses gave out the full size candy bars. The jackpot was the house that was the farthest away that gave out king size candy bars. It was always a special time that the whole community participated in. Watching the kids on Stranger Things trick or treat made me so nostalgic. Kids these days don’t get to have the same experience. I do remember the scare of razors/needles in candy. I think that ended the fun of homemade treats.

I'm spending the weekend trying to get all of my decorations up just so I can figure out if I need to buy anything else this year. My credit card is saying "no" but my heart is saying "yes"....hahaha. Also, my absolute must watch movies to kick off the season are Halloween (original) and Trick 'r Treat as well. Yes! Halloween birthdays! My family was obsessed with Halloween (glow in the dark skeletons on the motorcycle, homemade coffin, life size creatures playing poker, all of the spooky things) and my birthday is in October so I always had Halloween birthdays. 🖤

I saw the Headless Horseman at TJ Maxx about a week ago and I fell in love with him but for some reason did not buy it! I've been binging your videos and kick myself even more because you are on the hunt for him too. Went back today to see if he was there and of course he was GONE! I'm 30 and I'm right there with you about the pillow cases. Out early, out late, filling the pillow case, for sure. My parents weren't super suspicious of candy. I remember our next door neighbor used to make home made treats and put them in those cellophane bags, but they eventually stopped because people stopped accepting them. That was a sad day. Their candied popcorn balls were legit.

As someone who did the majority of her trick or treating in the mid- to late-90s/early 2000s, I remember they also had the really small trick-or-treat bags, but it was all about the pillowcase. Nothing could beat the pillowcase when you were the only kids who went trick-or-treating on your block.

I had fun trick or treating as a kid -- just running through the golden leaves , wearing my favorite green sweater, carving pumpkins... it was the best time ever! Later on, Mom and I set up the witches' scene and scared the kids ( but they kept coming back) and the last time I went out trick or treating with my bf (I was a black cat) we gave candy to the homeowners instead and got all sorts of funny reactions. :) I look forward to your decorating and other October/Autumn/Halloween doings -- things you cook up, things you make, just what you are doing enjoying October (the best month of the year). I always feel so alive in Autumn.

Your skin is so perfect, do you wear foundation, or is your skin that flawless? I don't wear makeup my skin is almost like yours, I was just wondering for any tips or tricks?
