Halloween Haunted House Tour - Front of the House with DIY Decorations Here is our haunted house façade Halloween Display walk through video part two with commentary. Jeana goes over the whole haunted house home haunt build such as the our kicking legs, pumpkins, front door, doorbell, air blaster, rattling floor, rocking chair, ghost, skeleton, moving hand, weathervane prop. This year our haunted ghost house was featured on The Great Halloween Fright Fight hosted by ABC network. We had 50 days total to design, create, shop, build and decorate the haunted house façade. This was our most successful Halloween yet with 2,000 trick or treaters. We also held a can food drive for a local charity which produced 40 bags of canned food. Every year we hope to inspire other people to decorate and even maybe become home haunters.

I think the tv competition didn't get enough tv time at your haunt to see all the small details. Your haunt may have been smaller but the level of detail was so much higher than the others. Excellent job!

This is one of the most, if not the most spectacular feats of home haunting there ever has been. Every time I watch this video, I am just flabbergasted. The craftsmanship, execution, and painstaking attention to detail is so incredible that it blows my mind this house is simply a facade. How this does not have millions of views is beyond me. The magnitude of the work and effort this all required to make is honestly overwhelming. You two are true masters of this craft, and this house facade is the shining example of that.

I love this! The amount of detail and backstory is amazing, and I love how you found ways to reuse so many of your old props. I also love how your display is so over the top (in an awesome way) but still really tasteful -- it's beautifully designed and cohesive. I love how it all came together. I would have given the home haunter tv show win to y'all, personally, because of that and because of the incredible level of detail in your display. :)

Your haunted house was fantastic! It truly did look like an old abandoned house that would have kids daring each other to go up to the door. Loved the doorbell prop, that was a really cool idea and your attention to the details, just awesome!

You can buy a flickering light or switch. A low tech hack is to put a motion sensor in a box with a flickering bulb and wire lights (pumpkins) to it...

I love all the details! The stacked up new papers and mail. On point! That what makes a great haunted house! Was wondering how you got the pumpkins up front looking real without the cords showing. Now, I know! What bulbs did you use for the flickering pumpkins?

We just used lamp bulbs with tube light starters to make them flicker. its old school but it worked.

I think we had it up for about a couple months and luckily had no issues with public works dept.

I made some creepy bones using ticks with 2 river rocks glued to each end and then sparcely wrapped with gauze and aged with tea bags. It was really easy and they look really cool. I'd like to see how she made those pvc ones.

It was a fun show to watch and they were all great haunts. The winners were impressive, but I didn't think it was fair that they weren't decorating their own home, but some other property. I thought the whole idea of the show was to see how people could decorate their homes. One of the things that made yours so amazing was how you used the limited space you had available.

I am still confused as to why the winner which is a pro haunt won in the first place? Sure you started out as a home haunt but what was shown was the pro haunt it had become. To me it was a tough call between you and the full size pirate ship on the show.
