Great playthrough! This game really seems to tell a story as it evolves. The difficult decisions made by the player surely parallel those made by the defensive force years ago. Thanks for sharing.
What a play through! This is such a great game. After every play I am immediately thinking of what I could have done differently or if taking another tact would have done the trick. That is, imho, the mark of a well designed game. Great job Ricky, you almost beat them back! Eagerly awaiting your next play of this!
Great run through, Rick. I always feel a bit ambivalent about historical games, especially relatively recent history. Loved the game but felt very sad for the defenders at the end knowing that it was a portrayal of real events.
Such an excellent playthrough series you put together, thanks! The last stand is just so brutal. One tip to offer for another playthrough is when you jammed the 2nd artillery to use your repair to open the 1st artillery (instead of unjamming). It buffers the hit tile bag by having both the gun 1 and gun 2 in there, and you'll lose nothing if you draw the gun 2 and only cover the jammed cannon. It's at least good in late game where you only will get one more chance to fire and every hit tile drawn can be critical. Great job making it to the end after such a rough start to the game, it was nearly an incredible comeback.
i've played this game several times through. i always feel like i'm doing pretty good up until i get to Siege 2 and then it all goes south fairly quickly and fantastically. even if i do somehow survive the 2nd Siege ... i'm little more than chewed hamburger for the Last Stand which is more like the last whimper. they just cut through me like a hot knife through butter. hmmm.... not sure how im going to solve this one yet.
