This is the moment I feel deeply in love with Arbiters story and really loved the guest appearance of one of my favorite bands of all time. Thank you Incubus for this amazing soundtrack.
*The heretics have weapon emplacements all over the facility, Arbiter. We'll take them out one by one until we find the heretic leader.* FINALLY....! I thought i'd NEVER hear the instrumental variant of this song outside from going through Halo 2, seriously, it always sounds SOOOOO much better than the one with the vocals!
I feel so honored to have known the band members personally before they blew up. Never in my life would I have thought I’d turn on Halo 2 and hear them playing their hearts out doing what they do best. Hope that one of these days I’ll get a chance to meet up with them again and talk about old times. Just an awesome group of friends that made some incredible music and memories. Thanks for this upload man. Wishing good vibes to everyone watching this video and playing this fantastic game.
So how exactly did you pull this off? Whenever this soundtrack comes on, it's during gameplay and there's a bunch of gameplay sounds in the background.
How do you extract it? I've gone through the game files before and currently working on a small project that requires modding the game, but I can't find the soundtracks anywhere.
I remember when I first played Halo 2, don't make fun of me, but I was like 3 in 2007 when I played Halo CE, and I was 7 in like 2012 when I played Halo 2 for the first time, and I loved it all the way through to the very end. This was one of the songs that stuck with me. Thanks you for bringing back nostalgia to me.
Idk, I remember beating heroes of the pacific when I was a toddler. it's not too strange, I just can't imagine the nightmare your parents had trying to put you to sleep after getting to 343 guilty spark.
for me, this part of the level was just one of those moments I got completely immersed in, like I wasn't even playing a game. That's the power of music!
When i played Halo 2 anniversary and changed to old graphics out of curiosity this song just hits and i'm like "Wtf this shit better than thr new one" so i played the entire banshee part in OG graphics
I came across the one with the vocals the other day i thought.. "?this ain't what i expected wtf" 😂😂 so i researched the track on it's own and glad i found this 😌
@@KokkoroConnoisseur Ditto here! I had no idea why the hell they didn't throw in Follow for that level and ALWAYS switch back to classic for that part of the level
NobleRaider2747 Plays its terrible, the atmosphere the original version is supposed to set up is just vibrations u feel in ur ears while ur screen shakes from the orange storm sky box, with under tones of bass when u get into serious fights.
For me The Arbiter and The Maw are the most memorable missions in the entire series. I like all the games but I had the best memories with the first and second games.
So was Incubus already working on the song and gave Halo an instrumental version, or did they like what they made for the game so much that they went and added lyrics? I remember loving this song in the game and for the longest time could only find the Incubus version with lyrics and never the game version.
ExplosionChimp i think there’s just 2 versions one for the game and one for halo’s ost. There’s a lot in the halo 2 ost that you don’t actually hear in the game like the rave song that’s used in halo reach instead.
@@jcdenton3512 there is a full lyriced version that is interestingly hard to find, follow is only said in the chorus once in that version and the electric guitar is a higher pitch
You can tell this was designed for a battle much bigger, that they just didnt have time todo...((I also have my theories on the 4th movement was gonna' be used in africa in the original last 3rd of the game)).
I absolutely love this song. One of the best tracks in the game. But I don’t think it fits well with the section it’s in lol. This song is so frantic and crazy and literally the banshee is so fucking slow lol. Maybe I’m delusional. Probably delusional. This game broke me recently. Just finished it on Legendary for the first time two days ago and the scarring has only begun lol. It’s the only one I never did on Legendary because I could never get the hang of it
still to this day, all i can hear from the incubus lyrics is: “SWALLOWWW, SWALLOWWW, SWALLOWWww, yyeeEEEAAHHhhHAAHHH!” 🫠 cue Jeff Steitzer like BETRAYAL
So, i read it between you and General Kidd, you Extracted this from the Game Files of Halo 2, huh? One Important Question: if Halo MCC comes out for PC, can you Extract all Halo 4 OST Tracks? My Reason is, since the Original Halo 4 is out, most of the Soundtracks during the Cutscenes (like the First apperance of the Promethean Knights, or the Emergency Landing of the UNSC Infinity) are nit Released on RU-vid - and i WNAT The Soundtracks! But i need the Soundtracks Exactly from H4MCC, not Original, because the Cutscene Soundtracks from the Original H4 are a littlebit... Unclear... Dirty, not good, but the MCC version (also on Xbox One) sounds the Cutscene Tracks clear, and Good (maybe the storage space of the game on the DVD was the reason why the soundtracks sound so weird, so unclean 🤔) and then the Cutscene Soundtrack on the Blurray, also on the MCC are Clear... - Please, Extract the Soundtracks of the MCC when it Comes out for PC 🙏🏻
💀I would be careful of what is said here, many people have fond memories of the this game such as myself. Keep in mind this is 2004 type game we talking about.
