@@Super50ldier Actually it's the Elites that have that stigma and only because they find human weapons too primitive. Brutes for example actually love human weapons because they are very similar to their own technology.

@@Super50ldier Actually Arbiter considers Chief a friend, he says it in the prologue cut scene of Halo 2 Anniversary with Locke. And in the Halo Bad Blood book the two have a bonding arm lock.

Wow, never realized this after countless playthroughs over the years. Shows how much hidden detail are in these games and their fast paced nature kind of makes you miss some things. Adds to the replayability. You can even see he opens his mandibles a bit as if he were to gasp or show shock. His turnaround is ironic, and this moment showed him there is more value in living rather than dying.

He may also be feeling a bit of guilt as he finally gets to see the results of his vicious warfare with the U.N.S.C. up close and personal.

My friend refuses to use grenades and simply runs at the flood, elbowing the entire horde. I recall him elbowing tartarus, and witness me getting yeeted off the arena, as a needler elite refuses to super combine and keep tartarus at bay as I respawn. Then I get clapped again and a zealot beats my friend to tartarus, literally making the fight uncinimatic. I was trying not to kill him, and trying to let my friend win, but that zealot mf...

Covenant is basically a religious cult. His entire life he was only exposed to its culture, to it's way. He never knew things can be different. And when he allied with U.N.S.C., he did exactly what religious cults forbids for its members: he was watching, listening, trying to understand humans, their culture, their values. He saw that things can be different, that there is more than one way of things. That you can be compassionate, but not weak, loyal, but not a zealot, fight for life, not for death. It's definitely exposure to human culture changed him.

@@voidseeker4394 seems about right, but knowing the rings are a lie certainly would make him feel guilty as fuck. Although, it just occured to me in Halo 2 he never actually discovered the truth about Halo before askjng 343. The gravemind sent him to the control room and he just decided he believes soggy churro. @@wastelandlegocheem when an entity that typically only feels hunger and need of propagating accidentally spares you and asks for your help, being scared af, I'd be concerned too. Also, i can't remember, did Chief already knew at that point? He could've believed Chief, because it's obvious that U.N.S.C. and Chief have no reasons to help the flood if survival wasn't on stake. Also, as high ranked elite, he might had access to some data about the rings, and gravemind's speech helped to put together pieces in his had, so it made perfect sense.

I don’t know why but it definitely sounded like he said “asshole” but was still “and so” instead. Still a damn good line.

@@starmary8532 The only plausible explanation is that this was a code phrase of some sort since the Covenant were clearly monitoring their communications/even directly accessing them just seconds before that line. Just seems so cheesy though without the proper context lmao.

@@wangslangin I don't think we've had a mission where we fought side by side like the Arbiter and Chief have. However, it should be noted that creating such an experience is kinda difficult in Destiny and we have had the closest we can get to it at the start of the Season.

If i remember, he is back at his home world, still fighting and defending against Covenant, and after ONI attempted to assassinate arbiter after Halo 3, I would assume he has little care in assisting humanity, especially if it means hunting down and giving his true sole ally from humanity back to the group who tried to kill him.

Cringe and nonsense has been taking place. 343 cannot write a good arbiter story and so they’ve yet to include him in another game in an integral way. Maybe now they can since Frank O’Connor is gone. That bun held 343’s stories back
