The graphics in halo 3 are already beautiful and charming, replacing them might ruin the aesthetic that bungie originally wanted, like how Halo CEA was a complete downgrade because they changed so much for no reason. Smoothing out the textures and animations along with matching dialogue and possibly raytracing would be more than enough, it’s a bad idea to over-do it when the original is already beautiful

Johnson is actually really damn strong cause of some stuff he went through. I think it was either an earlier spartan program or something along those lines

It's more like 1100-1200lbs as chief weights about half a metric ton, but still mightily impressive

@LetsPlayArcanium yes but the culture between the ODST and Marines are vastly different, the original commenter was just taking note of that

i think there's a lingering sense of dislike and distrust between spartans and odst ever since 117 took out a handful of them when he was a kid. This mihght explain the relaxed state of the odst while the marine, i think, has nothing but respect for our big guy

Even Arby and Chief could use an update as well though. They look great to this day, but when comparing to H2A, they do show their age a little bit. The ones that really don’t hold up are the models like Truth, Johnson, and the Brutes that have quite visible polygons

@@jxrr3n the video you just watched is for a mod called the "Halo remaster project" basically a modded Halo 3 anniversary

H1 - H3 ODST's animations were all hand made.

Using originals animations, so like there's kinda a bottleneck with using higher quality models on a rig made for low poly models, I been doing some weight painting on the face to make it work with the rig a bit better and will still be tweaking it

Right! Always thought they messed the look of Johnson up in H3. Probably the only thing about the game that I didn't love.

I think they learned their lesson with Halo CE Anniversary cause Microsoft saw what was going on in Anniversary's development and stepped in because the originally intended look of Halo Anniversary (which was just going for beautiful graphics for the sake of beautiful graphics) was going too far away from Halo CE's intentions. that's probably why Halo 2 Anniversary is more faithful to the source material they have a better idea of what microsoft wants.

Seriously, going from PlayStation 2 to Halo 3 for me was mind blowing. It felt so real.

Have a previous video on H2A arbiter in H3 but its kinda weird, I mixed it with the Infinite elite, but Im gonna upload a new one soon where the whole body is H2A arbiter with the Infinite head. I modified the Infinite head to look alot more like Halo 3 elites, like the mandibles specifically cos in infinite the bottom mandibles look like thumbs.
