I would recommend grease rather than silicon oil for this, it's slicker, collect significantly less dust and dirt and you don't need to constantly reapply it.

It is a great kit, and i had the slide stickiness issue, which was fixed with silicone oil being applied to the gun and mags, I had a brand new AAP-01 for this

A carbon fibre X ABS or ASS composite would create a better finish with much less noticable layer lines.
