Absolutely love watching these, however burned out you are of running this game you have the knowledge of knowing you're the best person to watch speed run any game
24:02 _"if this run gets world record, I will shave my entire body. Good night"_ Well you could have started just after you left because Garish is very strong :)
Garish I’m pretty sure you can save time on TB after hitting the button again to spawn the enemies. You don’t have to fly that low to the floor to hit the trigger, pretty sure when I did it I just flew level with the button or about that. Think you could shave a second or two
Well garish this is a very entertaining and satisfying speedrun! Good job and congrats! Your shooting skills are so cool! Love and respect from Pakistan! 💖💖💖💖😁
I don't know how consistent this could be in a speedrun but while playing this on the original Xbox or the rerelease on the 360 I was able to shoot one of the elites out of one of the two banshees without destroying the banshee at the very beginning of the second level when you first land on the ring so if done correctly you're able to fly around the map which I'm sure would save a lot of time in a speedrun but I have no idea how I did it or how to do it consistently. Maybe there's a speedrunner who could figure it out. Also has this ever happened to anyone else?
I think this could actually be slower, as the trigger to spawn the banshees takes quite a bit of time when you compare how quickly he can get to the first set of marines. Additionally, killing an elite from inside a banshee is very tricky, and so makes the idea extremely inconsistent. The setup for the banshee trick of AotCR took much time and practice to get consistent, but the ones in Halo don't quite have the same context to them. So, it's interesting, but I don't think it would be much faster as you get a Warthog later in the run, would be very inconsistent and you would lose time to begin with just to trigger the banshee spawns. Plus, you'd have to deal with the dropship enemies
still so wild to me that my friend and i played halo ce on co-op. the library took us 1 hour and 17 minutes. meanwhile garish beats the entire game in less the time
I think MCC’s player count will rise and stay high when Halo 3 launches. For a lot of people, Halo 3 was the game they played as their main game for years. It has much of the best aspects of 2 and Reach. Also, it is the only one of the original trilogy that never came to PC (outside of ElDorito), so it will be “new” in that respect. Once 3 comes out, I don’t think I’ll play any of the other games’ multiplayers much.
And it's all because of Garish! Constantly breaking his own PB (WR). But there are many tricks that only work in Legendary, which just goes to show the freedom you have in Easy as to not waste time in combat.
I got to tell you, a destructable warthog on Halo 2 kinda killed the campaign. In a multiplayer environment it made sense, even more so with heat seeking rockets. Finding out that I was able to blow the crap out of some mindless idiot driving around was just to much fun. During off line play on the other hand, It was just one of those things that just made you frown upon. So much joy was lost,.. First time getting into new destructable warthog, drive 20 feet and try to smash multiple elites. 20 seconds of total drive time before grunt sticks you with plasma grenade, you survive warthog doesnt. Reaction "awwww thats it, its gone?just like that?, no more spending hours just crashing around?, no more trying to run my friend over while hes being shot at by elites and throwing grenades at me?, no more trying to blow my friend up with rockets because I want to drive, no more sticking him in back of the head with a plasma because I want the gunner seat?"..and not hours in one spot, but each level for the most part has one time where your in a warthog and each time is like an half hour of killing innocent soldiers and your teammate.
Garish, Out of curiosity, on "Two Betrayals," after you retrieve the banshee and return to the temple entrance to activating the console again, why do you fly the banshee down the face of the temple instead of flying it up, in more of a straight line (or an upward arc) toward the platform entrance of the first generator, above? Don't you lose some time by flying that far down before ascending to the first generator entrance? Really enjoy your runs, man! Congrats on yet another record-time. :)
I played the remastered, and it was easily the most frustrated I've been with any game. especially the 4 or whatever covenant bridges that you need to cross.
