I was so guilty of FoeHammer's death on this game. As her pelican was slowly passing by me, I did the exact except without the Hog, and I kept telling myself as if I were interacting with her like "Don't worry FoeHammer! I got you into this and I'm getting you out! Stay with me! Foe! Stay-" and then realized that after all that dramatic speech, there was nothing I could do to save her, and I had to sit there watching a good character die..
+noah bryan actually its explained how he survived in halo first strike (the book). he was on a different pelican with an odst a pilot and some high ranking person
+arat360 That is the best damn pistol I've ever used in a FPS. I use it every level. I switch out my other weapon depending on what threat I am facing. That Halo 1 Pistol is so OP, and I love it. Best weapons on Library are Shotgun and Pistol. Use the pistol to disarm the Flood from a distance and then anything that gets close gets buck shot to the torso.
+Carlos Christ it would make sense somewhat, i mean he was on the pelican, survived the crash landing with a few other marines and magically before the ship detonated was rescued by a second pelican that got damaged badly when the explosion happened so cortana didnt pick them up on radar
+koolerpure Not near correct. He was on 419. He was on a Pelican with pilot Polaski, ODST Locklear, and an ONI officer named Haverson. They rescued Admiral Witcomb and other Spartans from Reach after hijacking a Covenant flagship
+I Try and be Nice He was exposed to gamma radiation some years ago. Did you think the fact that he wears green armour and is larger, stronger, and angrier than most people was a coincidence?
scycrow the cyborg you would not believe how annoying it is first to that part of the level and then try to the timing just like the video so yeah for me because I'm an idiot and did for original and master cheif collection it took around 5 hours before I read the description
I mean. It's real. You just seen it. It's just a Mod, not in the actual vanilla game. It's a cool alternative that actually works with the lore, and it could even explain how Sgt. Johnson got out of the Pillar's explosion alive
+Logo Mead Well I wish it was canon. Also now that you bring that up, will the creators of Halo ever tell us how Johnson survived? Like its been almost 15 years. Maybe they hid it in a book somewhere.
ThatGuy FELIX Well, 343 has already sledge-hammere'd the lore of Halo (I mean, Jackals speak english in Halo 5! That's just, no!) so maybe they'll pull something out of their ass and say "Yeah Johnson is a black military wizard". But jokes aside (even though I totally wasn't joking) Bungie doesn't make Halo anymore, and sometimes I don't even think they acknowledge that they made it anymore. If the community asked them how Johnson survived, they might ask "What's Halo? There are no weapons in Destiny named Halo." Side note: Pretty great how Bungie can go from making the best game series of all time to making that big pile of trash, ain't it?
+Logo Mead Jackals speak English? I did not notice. I've had no problems with 343s new storyline. Expect seeing cortana becoming the villain. I can't fight the best female A.I. ever created that I spent the last 15 years fighting the galaxy with. Well I'd like to think Johnson escaped with that blue (or purple I can't tell) elite he felt up. Oh the power of love.
ThatGuy FELIX Yeah, I remember watching Goldglove let's playing it with his girlfriend and the subtitles said that a jackal was speaking english. And I only started getting mad at 343 when they made Master Chief talk too much. He's supposed to be silent most of the time and speak when necessary, but in Halo 4 he seemed too talkative. And according to VideoGameDunkey, Johnson was a "gayboy" (his words not mine) with the elite that turned out to be the Arbiter. I don't know if that elite is ACTUALLY the Arbiter, but that's what Dunkey said. Dunkey's Halo video series was a super parody of the Halo story though.. Pretty funny stuff by the way!
+BlueShit199 There's no way she survived the ship's explosion and even if she somehow managed to get out of the burning wreckage, she would've died anyway due to Halo's explosion. She's dead.
Hawkkiller2 What are you talking about. The arbiter was never on Halo when it blew up. And what other dude? Are you talking about Sgt Johnson neither was he? Are you talking about the legendary ending? You know that never really happened and is not part of canon right??????
+RepresentWV What do you mean there's no way? The Longsword is right there at the end, and the screen fades to white after you kill all enemies, that fade is the cue to the ending cinematic.
+ThatOneEpicGuy which totally makes sense considering that the final scene with Johnson hugging the Elite in the Legendary difficulty takes place here.
man it suck that the halo now don't have that awesome vive you got in the 1 and second halo back then even tho the graphics weren't good idk if it's just me but back in halo one and 2 I would always look foward to what would happen next in the following mission and the story but now when I play single player in the current Halo I don't get that feeling of excitement and curiosity anymore can anyone relate to this or is it just me ?
basically the secrets should have never been used for making money. want a shudder? right here: in Sacred Icon, the arbiter lifts the energy cores in order to lower the shielding and proceed to the inner containment ring. to start the platform you use a console with a hand in the middle. the hand had 4 fingers and two thumbs... not human.. not sangheili.. just creepy as hell and imagination went wild what these things (forerunners) may look like. or quarantine zone: headline “100.000 years of war“ for what? between whom? where? why? now we know between flood and forerunner and the fact they want to tell us there were already humans, kicked back into stone age by the Forerunner just sucks because it is just way too far from the basic aspect of humanity being systematically erased by an unknown alien covenant which declared us an insult to their gods just because they can
True, i still love the new halo games, but they are nothing compared to the new games. I like that 343 took over when bungie left because if they didn't halo would have of ended, and 343 introduced a ton of new awesome lore to the halo universe
Crashed pelicans were always sad to look at... they did such a good job giving marines and echo 419 personalities that made you wanna fight along side them
Sumcomedy That's actually a different character. Warrant Officer Shiela Polaski is the character you're thinking of, and she was in Halo: First Strike. Foehammer unfortunately does die on the ring when her Pelican crashes.
Just imagined if this was a secret mission in the oringinal halo ce. No one would have thought when echo 419 was crashing down, you had to time it right to get on top of it. Mind blown.
Brian King Nope I found from another video,it's just like the ending from Halo CE,yep yep...... But the cutscene is released when Master Chief is out of the Pillar of Autumn while he's driving a Longsword (spaceship),not like the whole cutscene...... Anyway, this alternative modded (but same ending) stage is AWESOME!!!
+Russell Moore The marines aren't actually that bad against the covies, its just the UNSC ships are terrible against the covie ships, well after they have fired their macs.
ahh back when games were fun and we could mod literally anything in our multiplayer games i remember playing on hugeass and coldsnap getting into a longsword with my entire team and we'd fly as high as we could go before bailing off to skydive
Jack Gardere Nobody likes a pedant. Also, the Combat Evolved moniker was something Microsoft wanted. Bungie just wanted to call it Halo, but Microsoft wanted to call if Combat Evolved. Neither of them really budged, so they settled for both. In other words, I'll refer to it as Halo 1 if I damn well please.
The deep chelo playing In The background was very atmospheric to the whole situation. The way the land was wasted and few enemy were around made you feel like the last bunch of pointless war crazed animals, as your trying to fight off flood with just a few of your platoon. I'm high af, so I really enjoyed bumping into this. Sick ass mod
I loved it in certain games with these friendly non respawning canon fodder npc, was trying to get them as far through the lvls I can without them dying.
You know, I think "The Maw" should've started with a ground section where you fight alongside the surviving marines. Like, its a final charge to the crashed Pillar of Autumn. You've gathered all your remaining forces and you stage a final assault against the endless Flood horde who have taken control. Then they would all die one-by-one during the standoff, leaving you as the last survivor while you board the ship and begin the infiltration. That would've made for a more dramatic final mission. Anyone agree?
Yes, the books are canon. Well idk anymore, it would depend on if 343 considers them canon because they were authorized by Bungie. Its the same situation now as with Star Wars and Disney. If they dont want it canon its not. But as far as im aware they still consider it canon, so yeah.
Holy hell. This is possible!? I must find out for myself. also I noticed your on PC so I'm a little concerned that this may be a mod but still cool anyway!
Love this little side mission here! It also sticks to the lore as in that woulda been the Longsword that Johnson, the spook and some other marines took to get off halo too right?
Ok well what he is saying is no not legally if Microsoft figures out you nodded an Xbox 360 game they will make it so you can't go online anymore I believe
