I would suggest attempting to port this to halo 2 to make your original vision a reality if it weren't for the fact that halo 1's janky physics make this way more fun.
Edit: I figure it out the link sends you to the cursed halo file instead of the halo kart on. I just ended copying and pasting the link instead Old. I went on the Patreon site to download the mod and it is downloading cursed halo instead. I'm using this link on the website. inferno.codebrainshideout.net/HaloKart-Release.zip
"Have you ever experienced a game that you genuinely enjoyed, but at the same time you can see it falling apart all around you as you played it." TF2 players- "Yes..."
I like to imagine this takes place a couple decades after whenever the halo storyline is gonna finish. Humanity has colonized any remaining halos and the remaining Spartans just fuck around
"I don't care if its Nintendo's own anti-sunnavabitch machine, or an invincibility star, we're not going to let 'em have it! What we WILL let em have, is a belly full of shells, and a pool of their own oil to drown in...am I right racers?!"
Edison Trent I mean I still remember when Inferno made DS meme videos and that was pretty much it, now suddenly he knows Criken and Bruce. Wouldn’t surprise me if he saw this tbh
You utter fool. You have no idea how this race works do you? The ring doesn’t steal the floods trophy it steals everyone’s including there’s. Yours mine the covenants they’re all equally worthy of being the prize after the finish line. No trophies no race.
“...Is it true?“ “More or less. Technically, this installation's pulse has a maximum effective radius of 3 trophies. But, once the others follow suit, the race will be quite devoid of prizes, or at least any prizes with sufficient value to satisfy The Flood. But you already knew that...I mean, how couldn't you?“
Genuinely love your red vs blue inspired comedy, parody, and flat delivery. It looks like the editing took a lot of work not to mention the coding for the mod. Keep it up 👍
0:12 Sarge: "Damn it Blue, stop pulling me around!" Caboose: "Is that Church!" Donut: "Oh great we're behind sister." Tucker: "Bow-Chika-Bow-Wow!" Sister: "Hey, the the two grey guys are getting ahead. Punch it!" Doc: "I'm a pacifist! Why can't we just-BLOW THEM INTO OBLIVION! Mwa-Ha-Ha-Ha!!! Grif: "Why are we racing! Can't we just-" Chief: "Drive."
This might just have been me but I can't get over hearing Criken say "Bruce", not knowing who that was, and then realizing it's just straight up Bruce Greene
@2:40 RIP. Just know that your work is appreciated dawg. I may be bored senseless by the code but I respect you for enduring it for the sake of your art that we all enjoy
My cousin and I used to play a custom game that we called "Hog Wild". It was basically demolition derby and we agreed to keep the shooting to a minimum. The goal was to get one of the 'hogs, and then play what basically amounted to jousting with them. We would try to ram one another and knock the opposing player out of their 'hog. Then you try to run them down. De-hogged players had a rocket launcher for defence. It was a hard game to program into the limited options so a lot of it was basically Gentlemen's Agreement rules. We turned up the Shield and Life to max so the rockets were just to defend us while we tried to retrieve our lost Warthog instead of making the on-foot player the better option. It was a lot of fun but once Halo 2 came along with its destructible vehicles, "Hog Wild" was retired. Good times. 😁😁😁
I just love how everything is low resolution and blocky then their is just a modern camera that is like 100 times more complicated than the warthog and should be in a late 2010 ps3 game.
"Have you ever experienced a game that you genuinely enjoyed, but at the same time you can see it falling apart all around you as you played it?" Warframe 2019 in a nutshell
"Have you ever experienced a game that you genuinely enjoyed, but at the same time you can see it falling apart all around you as you played it?" Destiny 2
New subscriber loving the modding content. come from halo 2 & 3. The MLG days, the Gamebattles days. The Str8 Rippin vs Carbon era. I appreciate everything you do when it comes to Halo and the game we all grew up on. Keep up the content if you can!
I appreciate you describing the importing process of the tracks in a way someone new can understand as well as saying it casually which implies it's an everyday thing for you. Says a lot about your skill.
Pretty sure there were some Halo:CE maps back in the day that was basically this, except without any modded code so you'd just jump in a rocket warthog with everyone having rocket launchers and sped around a custom built race track while shooting at eachother. This is so much more refined though.
Bro I gotta say, your vids are legendary. The first video of your I saw was the long hog and I thought it was just gonna be a long boring video. Idk wut your doing, but it’s so entertaining. Keep it up!

I’ve never fallen across your channel until now and at this current moment, I honestly don’t remember what in Gods name got me to this video but I am grateful for it. At first I expected just a collaboration of you guys playing through altered Halo maps with the colors of the characters. I can say I never would have thought someone would have put together retro maps with tiny warthogs and one of the greatest things about Halo. Getting to blow the living piss out of everything within your path. After you jumped on to begin the break down of things, I almost closed out the video. Usually I love listening to the mechanics of these things but today I haven’t the patience for much. That said, I was pleasantly surprised with the humor you implemented into the entire thing. Your sarcastic remarks, rigged motions, screen additions and humoring way to break down why this didn’t work out the way you wanted. Had me laughing my ass off through practically the majority of the video. Makes me wish I knew how to do such for my own to make them more entertaining. Honestly I’d be happy with getting to make 3D animations of my Spartan period but we won’t talk about that. Would be cool seeing a version of this implemented into Reach gameplay with those types of graphics but of course that’s something that would be Hell to make, that much I’m certain. Getting to watch some of the game play at the end was really exciting as well. Watching normal sized Spartans squeeze into Warthogs the size of little Jeeps meant for toddlers was something else. Whatever group of friends you have that had the willingness to even conduct such a project with you are freaking awesome and honestly, this was one of the best 11:40 of my day. Thank you for that! I don’t know how much more of your content I’ll follow but one things for sure; this video alone most certainly made it into my favorites playlist.
"Halo: Combat Evolved is nearly 20 years old, and whenever you try and do something innovative with it, you immediately run into all sorts of engine limitations." - InfernoPlus (2/22/2020) Ark: Survival Evolved is a MUCH newer game, but I feel this every time I tried making mods for it. If you do anything more complex than making new NPCs or custom maps, it becomes an uphill struggle in the blink of an eye. EX: Wanna remap weapons/armor and rebalance them? Fuck you! Crafting stations aren't notified of the remap even though it's an official feature! From Dino Gaming Land, I weep tears of Unconventional Modder for you. These sorta games don't like it when you challenge core assumptions and rules of play.
