In the video game Halo, a super soldier battles a tyrannical alien theocracy known as the Covenant. The leaders of the Covenant maintain power through genocidal violence against all who dissent from the dogma that supports their totalitarian authority. Tragically, the same sort of terrifying abuses are employed by the Islamic State and affiliated terrorist groups such as Boko Haram. Islamic State leaders systematically abuse, enslave and kill all those who does not follow their version of Islam.
