My guess is ONI were working on a project that involved AI and mind control. Or they had AI that went rogue I.e. they could possibly override a Spartan entirely to gain control of them should they not follow orders. Things went wrong, and were covered up only to be revealed now. The rogue AI and brute AI get out, start taking control of Spartans. This will then play into the infected game mode.

SPI can be used by None Augmented personal and has been known to be used by ONI personnel in the past, infact the earlier iterations of SPI were field tested by ODST's before it was issued to Spartan III's. Given Dinh's past as an ONI section III field operative prior to being scouted out for the Spartan IV program, him wearing SPI on the field is understandable.

@@odstsoldier6252 It indeed does have the sticker for Beta Company, but I think that is more of a cosmetic add on; as it is on record that Spartan Dihn is Spartan IV who formally served as a field analyst within the Ranks of ONI section III and not a Spartan III. Remember that Spartan III's were recruited from children who were orphaned in the wake of the covenants assualt on colonies throughout human occupied space who also met the necessary genetic and age requirements needed to be compatible with the Spartan III program augmentation sets. Spartan IV candidates were recruited from Veteran service members from all branches of the UNSC (Army, Navy, Marine Corp, Air Force, and ONI) who demonstrated exceptional levels of skill, willpower, focus, and bravery compared to others in their career field. Granted they still had to meet a specific set of physiological requirements needed for the Spartan IV program's augmentation set (Nevertheless it was still relatively more lenient the Genetic sets of the III's and II's).

It’s a repurposed ONI facility and Spartan Dinh was an ONI agent before he became a Spartan so it’s not his first time being in the facility

The place existed way before they turned it into an official spartan base

Destiny is well known for having amazing gunplay and ability play, the gameplay loop isn't about that, as that is about the activities. Why make a point about ability play being bad in pvp if you move the goalpost to it being about the loop

On the Ring still and so is the Infinity but nobody knows where it is for now. Halo Infinite is supposed to be a dual story so obviously one for Chief and one for us as the player. Eventually we'll meet up with Chief I'm sure when ? Idk 🤷😂. As for right now I think they just wanna have us build a relationship with Dinh and Eklund then eventually we'll hit the battlefield with them because 343 did tease some PvE content even though it was already leaked 😂.

They made viruses to kill entire races and even wanted to damage the Sangheili crops just in case. Just because they're doing bad stuff for good things, it doesn't mean they're not straight up evil in multiple cases. That's not even a quarter of the heinous things they've done either. You can't compare a Spartan to ONI because, unlike a Spartan who isn't isn't their payroll, ONI will literally commit cultural genocide for the "greater good" they believe in.

Glyke, deployment of a NOVA bomb on a Sangheili colony world with no military significance. Both have done bad things. Doesnt make either a villian. Can make either one antogonistic in a specific scenario but not inherently bad in iteself

@@porcin3proph3t4 1.) Why do Spartans have long hair? This is a military shooter, you're telling me they have access to pelicans and computers but not a an electric shaver? 2.) The girl character with the bandanna looks out of metal gear solid for some reason? 3.) There is no reason for the samurai looking armor to be in the game, why would some military 500 years into the future design a helmet with horns that the enemy could just grab to take you down? It's completely out of place in the game. 4.) The "banished" A.I character is just cringy, he is comically evil for what reason? what motivation? I don't know he's just evil...Honestly the same can be said with the rest of the banished characters in Infinite. I think only the blade master Elite had an interesting character backstory that made sense. 4.) Having dream sequences/visions in a Halo game looks really out of place. They did it in Halo 4 too and that's in my opinions where they jumped the shark. Halo was originally a call to a 90's action shooter like a mission impossible movie mixed with alien. Dream sequences just don't make people enveloped in a story, it's too far out of the suspension of disbelief. I could imagine being attacked by aliens and what that might be like for humans, but to have a dream/vision where someone talks to you just seems too out there for this genre.

@@khalduras784 It's an important point to note. Halo was originally a Military shooter. With that comes all the rest of the bells and whistles that come from what a military shooter has. Ranks, Weapons as well as dress codes... All throughout the original Bungie series they kept that going and it allowed for an immersive experience. If you start taking that away you loose what the series was originally founded on and it's individual identity that the fans found appealing.
