Best tip i can offer as of late. When you spawn, tell your closest teammate how close/far you are. They can’t see you but it’ll help them adjust their pace.

That’s perfect Halo. I’ll sometimes take crap from people that are saying, why are you baiting me? And most of the time, they weren’t calling out saying they needed help, they didn’t coordinate a push, they didn’t make an effort to fall back. I mean i get it, you’ll spawn back, but dying does nothing for a team.

​@@DoddsMcFodds Yeah usually guys that are relying on their team are not playing with their team. If you make a push that requires your team to push riskily with you to work, then you probably shouldn't make that push, and at the very least you need to communicate what you're doing.

Yeah i mean it didn’t start here… this is Years of playing Halo and studying competitive FPS . However, I’ve learned quickest through making mistakes and slow incremental progress. Like quite literally focusing on one gun, in one spot, on one map. It starts there.

@@DoddsMcFodds I get that it’s part of why I want to get decent at halo now, I love studying things in general. I never thought when I was younger that halo could actually have so much going on I just approached it as a “game” so I think it’s interesting to learn to play it correctly. My accuracy is shite but my performance is fine and I think I’m getting better but with the way matchmaking is it’s impossible to tell sometimes. Since you did this challenge for improvement do you have any practical ideas to help someone improve? I’ve thought about picking 1 or 2 maps and only ever watching theater on those. Or maybe trying to only care about one gametype for a bit. I use cover but I specifically have a problem with going around corners a step or two too wide so cover isn’t immediately reachable, it’s slowly getting better but I’m not sure of a way to really make it stick.

Nah you’re not washed up. Season feels the same competition wise but i crash every few games and lose -15 each time so it makes climbing the ranks really hard.

Then slowly go up until you find your sweet spot. But you have to give at least a couple hours of dedication for each setting.

Yeah i honestly think in game i wasn’t totally sure. Probably recognized him and knew i had to go hard but it wasn’t until after that i really connected the dots. Bummed i never got a tbag in but i guess it goes to show my class.

If you control B you usually control top Gold and from there you have a direct sighting to cat walk over at A and vice versa. However C has no vantage points into A.

@@DoddsMcFodds hmmm but C has a direct vantage point into B as well as sword AND camo LOL and you can watch to see if they're going to A or not to alert your team. When they try to take C, they're putting themself into a bottleneck, much like the battle of thermopoli, when trying to take C... the only other course of action for them to take is to go around through blue pipes... and if they do that, they leave their teammate(s) alone to face off against potentially 2 people. it's one of the easiest to defend in my experience... meanwhile, the other team is stuck spawning at B while you have A as well and you can easily team-shoot them while they're trying to move out of B. I don't know, my teams have always won when we hold A and B... we always lose when some rando tries to take B LMFAO and gets shot from 3 angles LOL but idk maybe it works for other people

Okay now I’m confused haha you said you’ve always won when you take A & B was that a typo? Or are we on the same page? I think it’s also important to note that you never want to just hangout in B.

@@DoddsMcFodds haha ya, typo, A and C and usually at A, we're not hanging out on the balcony, and you've got a pretty good view from inside A... so if you don't push B too hard, they don't spawn anywhere besides gold LMFAOOO and if they DO take one, you can always emergency - take B, depending on how many people went for which zone
