I mean, it would have to take more than one person to control the Scarab. Johnson probably just had whatever ODSTs/marines helping him stay behind on the Scarab so nothing snuck up behind him and the Arbiter. Then they probably moved on to aid Half-Jaw’s raid on the covenant frigate.
It’s very likely that they did. Miranda says the only support chief can get is with a few pelicans after In Amber Clad took off to find the index. For all we know there could’ve been a mobile firebase set up
Great video. One thing I don’t like about the lore is that so few people survived the endings of CE and 2. The reason for that is it fells mind of dumb to have only the heroes survive, and if there’s so few witnesses how does everyone else know they aren’t being lied to by a bunch of deserters. Granted Bungie basically made each game not knowing they’d make a sequel so that’s why each one adds a bunch of new stuff. They also didn’t really care about lore/consistency at the time. They just went with whatever was coolest (granted a lot of their ideas for new species were awesome. I really wish that there were more aliens in Halo. The good thing about having a small amount is they’re all really well fleshed out. I just wish there was more). I’m personally not a fan of the way they killed off Miranda because it paints her like an idiot. She goes in alone and rams her pelican into the window. She didn’t have and marines/ODSTs, or people following her. Johnson’s death was well done and actually makes sense given the context. I saw a few of your other videos and they’re also good.
I could imagine if they make a remake of the first halo game, they could focus some campaign on the marines doing their own thing. It would be pretty cool if they adjusted the story so that Foehammer survives but could not pick up MC due to heavy enemy presence, but Cortana calls her off and tells her to join the other pelicans and focus on rescuing the stranded marines.
Aw what and here i was always keeping the mariens alive in every level always restarting a checkpoint and moving faster to keep them all alive till the end of the level
