They didn’t have Novas until almost at the end of the war. By that time, the Spartan II program had been a proven effective weapon for 20++ years. You “can’t” use Novas on your own worlds either.

Gray Team were concerned they would be trialled for war crimes, as by the time they bombed Glyke the war was over. Of course the covenant attacked many non combatants which would of course be a war crime, but this instance is somewhat unique as it was committed by humans during "peace time." The video title stems from the fears Gray team had about their actions on Glyke. Of course they were pardoned by the Arbiter and the fleetmaster mentioned in the video also forgives them due to their assistance on Carrow.

That’s crazy, installation00 did a video on the MAC cannons of the UNSC and I can’t remember the exact yield, but the super MAC cannons had over 50 gigatons upon impact. Obviously the MACS aren’t planet killing weapons like they should be according to halo lore, but in reality each super MAC round would be more devastating than a NOVA bomb

Agreed. Nova sounds even more powerful than Cyclonic Torpedo, and those are easily planet busters!

There are things from the Forerunner Flood War that would absolutely curb stomp anything 40K has to offer. Late war Forerunner doctrine included a scorched earth tactic of causing artificial supernovae which sterilized entire star systems.

Yeah but they simply didn’t have time. The covenant were coming in crazy and wiping out PLANETS coup that with the flood and forerunner stuff and the fact humanity still did stuff according to modern day methods made things worse(mass nova bomb production would need hella backing a someone like hasley who’s smart enough to do whatever needs to be dome to get their way)

Well according to some material when the nuclear bombs detonate, the individual blasts are compressed into a neutron star dense pocket which creates antimater and the antimatter enhances the nuclear blast enough to explode an entire planet.
